Radio show, TV show, columns, appearances on other media orgs. They all work to increase their visibility, which will increase their revenues (hopefully at least)

There is 6 is them. After overheads that's not going to go too far.

There's not 6 of them. Richie is not incorporated as having a role within their financial statements:

Just because he's not a director of the company doesn't mean he's doing it for nothing.

Yes but surely that is no longer the case if Richie is now gonna be doing one show a week. I know he's trying to raise his profile but committing to a couple of hours a week is surely going to see him on the payroll now.

Do Ken and Murph get paid by the Irish Times for their columns or are Second Captains paid? The first seems logical but the second seems fairer as it is tougher for Simon and Mark to find other revenue sources.

What'll be interesting to watch is how many people will continue to pay after the first month or two.

I don't know but id assume the lads get paid themselves and not Second Captains.

Ah no, I just assumed it was once a week the way they were chatting about it. Your most likely right to be honest

Do we know what show is on what day?

Will Jen be covering this shambolic catastrophe with the Garda whistleblower?

ok, so that's their salary? Not bad. presume it doesn't represent all their income either

I can't imagine it was anywhere near that on Newstalk either.

Whoa, I thought they would be scraping by on around 25-30k max from Second Captains. That is big money and way more than I'd say they were on at Newstalk. Id think they'll struggle to hit those numbers unless they've loads of live shows and merchandise under the new set up. Any idea what the Irish Times were paying to sponsor?

    moot point

even if it's only 5 directors - that sort of income is not going to pay the piper

Jesus some people have too much time on their hands, looking up the director details on their company :D:D

Everything's a moot point until you see the patrons count at the first billing period on the 1st of march?

True. I'd say a fair number have done the initial sign-up on the back of their ballsy move to podcast-land & the 4 years of listenership.
Income streams will be more directly dependent than ever on the material they produce though. This could crash & burn or it could float quite well. Hopefully it's the latter.

They'd have to be fairly happy with the take-up of subscriptions so far. 3k in just over 1.5 days. They could (should) hit 5k by the end of the week at this rate.

The last risk they took leaving Newstalk worked out pretty well for them so they seem to get these things right. I think if the content is good it will thrive.

Hopefully it work out for them. I still miss them on the radio in the evenings but that clock can't be turned back.
