The three guys didn't need to be informed they had already tendered their resignations. The board had every right to accept the. The agent as far as I can see was acting n their instructions

Is it not strange that the Board haven't issued a statement yet as to what happened???

It's a very clear statement that but why would Warburton and Co continue to take training if they'd resigned on Monday. Also why no discussion with them about releasing a statement. Seems like botch job by both club and management team

I think the decision was taken Friday night as per the statement about the resignations as opposed to monday but still why wait so long with that sort of ultimatum tabled? They could have been put out on gardening leave immediately pending a final decision.

The organisational structure at the club isnt equipped to react quickly, if they have to wait for Dave King to come from SA to make obvious decisions then thats a problem in itself.

They actually don't have to wait technology is marvellous these days. Such things as Video conference calls are widely available.
IMO the resignation was accepted to start at a certain date possibly after today's game. Then the **** hit the fan their agent wanted to backtrack and withdraw it. So aboard meeting was set up God Friday night when this was discussed along with the leaks that had been happening and it was decided to implement the resignaions right away. Oh I actually agree though that King is not hands in enough and it bothers me.

Team news for today v Morton

GRAEME MURTY makes two changes from the Rangers side that drew with Ross County as he prepares to take charge of the Gers for their Scottish Cup tie.

Martyn Waghorn starts for the Light Blues and replaces Joe Garner in the frontline. Waghorn is Rangers top scorer with 10 goals for the season. He is joined in the front three by Kenny Miller, who is on eight goals this term and Scotland international Barrie McKay will start on the left.

In midfield there is a recall for Andy Halliday in a holding roll while January signing Emerson Hyndman and Jason Holt provide the more attacking threat.

At the back it remains unchanged with James Tavernier, Clint Hill, Philippe Senderos and captain Lee Wallace making up the defence. Wes Foderingham keeps his place in goal for the visit of Morton.

Josh Windass misses out on a place in the squad as he recovers from an ankle injury but the midfielder should return to full training on Tuesday.

RANGERS: Foderingham, Tavernier, Hill, Senderos, Wallace, Halliday, Hyndman, Holt, Waghorn, Miller, McKay.

SUBS: Alnwick, O’Halloran, Hodson, Toral, Wilson, Garner, Forrester.

The facts are, the ultimatum was received monday and it was friday before the decision was made. The board meeting was held on friday at 9pm. Why not tuesday morning? Obviously its because the key men where not available until then, there is no other logical conclusion.

Maybe this type of vote has to be done with everyone present at the board meeting in Ibrox and not over the phones etc. Who know what stupids rules that club has in place around its governance and day to day operations.

He should either be more hands on or give the hierarchy the necessary authority to make, what seems like fairly obvious club decisions. Incidents like this then big long winded statements from him are doing nothing for fans confidence in those running the club.

The motivation for that statement was because of this failed management structure and to stop fans panicking which ultimately means you'll keep your money in your pocket.

No the facts are the agent asked for them to be released without compensation. This was agree and it was obviously after the game today they would leave. The agent at their behest then became came back onFriday and asked for the resignations to be revoked a board meeting was called where with Warburton and co's jackets already in a shoogly peg after recent revelations. So on Friday night (King wax still in SA ) a board meeting was held and and the resignations were ratified once again and the statement put out.

We know there was unrest with the way Warburton and McParlanx were handling g transfers most of them were done through Warburton daughter agency. It wax also know Warburton had been responsible for leaking information to the press. It really was a no brained.

The outcome of this meeting (on monday) was that the agent subsequently offered that Mark, David and Frank would resign with immediate effect without compensation as long as the Club, in turn, agreed to waive compensation from any new Club that they signed for. After discussion the Board accepted this offer and employment was immediately terminated.

You dont even know what is going on at your own club.

You are the only person that is suggesting that they were to continue their jobs until after todays game.

I will say it again just for you many Rangers fans think that was written wrongly as it's clear Warburton and co were still at the club till Friday night it was only Thursday/Friday that the Forrest job was pulled. It doesn't take much to work it out. Now why are you still talking to someone you reckon lacks intelligence why are you not talking conspiracy theories and home draws with the rest of your ilk

The GASL better have their resignations in writing otherwise this is going to get very expensive for the new outfit

No, now you are revising what you said earlier. So you admit its not a fact now, just conjecture that is dressed up as a fact. Just wanted to point that out. :P

My reading of it is that it's a personal statement from Mr King.

It's not from the board or on behalf of the board.

Is there any chance that the "glib and shameless liar" could be glibly lying?

If what's in The Telegraph is correct then it's only normal the club told them to do one.
It's a mess, but I'm not too worried it happened. We did great under Warburton to get promoted with some fantastic football, but it was clear that the SPFL was too big of a challenge. No other gameplans, can't respond to changes on the pitch fast enough (I think it's something in manager contracts at Rangers that they can only do the first substitution around the 60min mark),...

Weir is another one who didn't quite get it. A fantastic defender as a player, but seemingly unable to fix the defensive issues of the team.

Another home draw. Supposedly it's the 50th consecutive one or so I'm led to believe by the mental ones on twitter. Not bad for a club that only exists for 5 years ;)

    https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/576367/rangers-fans-are-playing-a-blinder-but-their-loyalty-is-self-defeating-says-bill-leckie/

Article there describing The Rangers fans reaction to the latest carry on. There's no debating with that attitude but ultimately they're their own worst enemy. Carry on The Rangers fans.
At Charlton Athletic, Blackburn Rovers, Coventry City and Blackpool, punters have had enough of this passive-aggression torture.

They’ve had enough of financing rank-rotten regimes. So they stay away. They ask rival fans to stay away. They use the media to raise awareness of just how bad their exiled, don’t-give-a-damn owners are, not just for their own clubs, but for the game itself.

But your Rangers fan? He just rings up a phone-in and shouts about history and culture and 54 titles and how WeArraPeepel.

He creates a caricature of himself and turns a serious problem at an endangered sporting institution into a national joke.

Did he (and you) miss when around 20.000 season tickets didn't renew, helping to force the previous board out ?
That article, just like Leckie is a joke. Nothing more than a pathetic (no doubt alcohol fueled) hatchet job.
