No interest in KFC in Ireland but when I go out fordin and can get spicy recipe on everything then gimme that bucket!

That spicy recipe is the business! Don't know why they don't have it here

Noticed too that KFC has gone down in quality over the last couple of years.

Just go into Supermacs and get a snackbox with garlic sauce for dipping.

Love a KFC now and again. Love the zinger tower burger...so bad but so good. The ones in limerick are grand, but personally think the childers road one is better than the crecsent.

Stay in the clayton in galway now and again with work, and there is a KFC across the road. Have been 3 times over the years and it is easily some of the worst food I've ever had. Never again!

I agree. Supernacs has better chicken than KFC now.

    Battery chickens that anyone uses.
But specifically breeding chickens to have no beaks or feathers and multiple legs?

Ah for Christ sake. Do you believe everything you read online?! KFC are supplied fresh chicken daily by the same chicken processors as all the large supermarkets. There is no difference in the chicken, except that it's even fresher than you buy off the shelves. "Fake news" Indeed.
Also, 2 legs would be multiple legs.

I had one of those KFC spice boxes today. Absolute **** for €6. Limp, cold, tasteless.

What about the battery chickens the Chinese use?

    That's chicken substitute.

Grace's in Rathmines closed suddenly just over two weeks ago. All the fixtures and fittings still seem to be there but the shop hasn't opened since.

This is literally the worst news I've ever heard

From best to worst (and coincidentally from least depressing to most depressing, and culchie to urban) it goes:

supermacs .. mcdonalds ... burger king .. kfc

They were last open on Jan. 23rd. My mate rang me in a panic because he had gone to buy his dinner the next day (they did two snack boxes for the price of one on Tuesdays) and the place was closed.

Does it give anyone else a trumpeting dose of the gallops?

    That would be the gravy.

    That would be the gravy.

Nope, that would be the greasy sloppy mess of chicken.
Tbf, it doesnt even REMOTELY resemble proper fried chicken. The coating slides of the chicken its so greasy, there's no flavour at all. Havent had it in a fair while and I'd say I'd be hard pressed to have it again.

I have had KFC if a few different countries and the skin was always dry and crispy until I got here. You would of actually thought it was a breading coating and not skin. Chips in Ireland too are rank. How the hell do chips stick together ? I mean chipper chips.

Don't KFC use chickens from those awful battery farms? Perhaps not here but the UK branches do, as far as I can remember. I wouldn't expect a badly reared bird to taste like much anyway.

KFC in APAC generally seems to be superior to what it is in Ireland.

You know the vast majority of chicken sold in supermarkets comes from battery farms?

Yes, sadly it does but you can find free range if you look for it. Then there's battery farming and there's Battery Farming..

Yes of course you can find free range, but most aren't willing to pay the bit extra for it. I do, for the most part.
What does the last part of your post mean?

Its the same chicken you and I buy in Tesco, Supervalu, Dunnes, Aldi, Lidl etc. unless you pay the extra for free range which accounts for less than 5% of chickens sold.

There was an expose of animal cruelty on the factory farms for KFC America. Probably what I was thinking of.
It's not that much more for free range. Some people have no conscience.

I used to eat in that one regularly a while back and the chicken used to be good but the chips were always cold and undercooked.

My regular one is Letterkenny - it's small but everything is cooked well there.
