I honestly don't know how people do it, I don't think I can.
A change is as blah blah........ variety is the spice blah blah.........

Surely no harm in lashing out a bit of speed once or twice? Include a parkrun in one of your long runs?

If it's not broken etc etc...... Your going well B, when time comes to racing the faster stuff the endurance your building up will pay off hugely.

To play devils advocate, do you really want to run a 24 hour race?

I thought you were going well over the 5k/4 mile races even if you didn't. Not that my opinion matters on that but I hope you are doing it for the right reasons i.e what you enjoy

    Only back at it today.
Took a bit of time out to think things through. Thought Lisbon would be a nice place to think so away I went. I made my decision but need to let a few people know before I mention it here. Plenty of time for all you fcukers to give me grief :)

    Double today 7 + 6 = 13

    How the hell are yis?
I decided yesterday that I was dropping the Belfast 24hr and as soon as I made that decision the weight of the world was lifted off my shoulders, happy days:D
However, I've been sitting here watching ****e on the moving picture box with the tablet in hand having second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eight and possibly ninth thoughts but it's still a no go.
I don't think I underestimated the race but I do think overestimated my own mental strength.
Also the timing of last years injury whilst in full flow for DCM hit me harder than I thought and has been eating at me ever since. That demon needs to be struck down and DCM will be a target for the second half of the year.
Soooooo, what to do for the next four month? Well to take a phrase a bit further, the grass is usually greener where you came from. Bearing that in mind please stand by, I'll be back in a minute or two.........
