It was just getting Good and the stream cut to ads. Patriots have it about 10 yards out.

    Which BBC channel has it?

Ah for feck sake now the seagulls are here to destroy our NFL enjoyment. :D

What's wrong, did someone let the air out of your pigskin this morning?

What happens after a mark/fair catch?

I'm an equal opportunities squasher of seagulls.

The drive restarts from where the ball is caught. If the fair catch isn't called then the catcher can be tackled and risk fumbling.

Its on BBC also so all the talk about ads is nonsense. Also if you have no interest in watching stop complaing about how the game is played and let's everyone else enjoy.
    I'm sorry scrubs.

Is it always better to go down, even for a loss in yards, than kick possession away? Are you allowed kick into space and challenge for it?

    Ads.

Possession is everything in the NFL. Ryan went down for a loss of yards as he was about to get hit otherwise. You can't afford your QB to take unnecessary hits, if they get injured then you're ****ed. You only kick possession away when it's 4th down. No challenging for it.

As for the ads, you'll notice they don't have sponsors on their jerseys which generates a lot of income in European sports. Same goes for all major US sports I believe.

    What's 'holding'?

I think you're allowed to but you'd be laughed at.

    Illegally grabbing/holding a player back.

I thought you could hold/tackle anyone at any time.

    Freeman looks a bit deadly.

You can't do it during an ad break, so not very often.

When the patriots guy caught the punt what stopped him running in a touchdown?

You can only recover possession from your own punt if the receiving team touches it first.

Do they ever fake the kicks after touchdowns and go for another TD at this level?

You can on fields goal. Not an extra point. You can do what you are thinking but it would only be worth 2.

You can't get another 'TD'. There's two options after a TD is scored.

    1. Attempt an extra point kick for one point.
    2. Go for a two point conversion which means running one play from the two yard line.

Most teams will always kick the extra point unless they have to score eight points.

Every now and then but rarely enough. However for the last two years the extra point (think conversion) can we swapped out to run a play from the 2 yard line to get two points if you score.

So you can smash the shire out if whoever you like but touch a guy's arm and it's a penalty?

    What's the nuance?

You're preventing an opportunity to catch the ball. You can smash away once they've caught it.

    Cracking interception.

They're tackling lads off the ball all over the shop.

Brady looks muck. Can't land a pass for love or money.

There's a difference between blocking and tackling.

Brady is being forced into looking muck because he's under constant pressure. Atlanta defense is on fire.
21-0 down, a massive turnaround is needed now as Atlanta's offense will score plenty more.

I always think that on-field medical attention looks completely amateur in football compared to rugby.

Marty Bennett bails out Brady there.
Atlanta start with the ball in the second half. The Pats have to get something from this drive.
