    /Facepalm It shows leaderboards if you aren't playing a game but shows achievements by default if you are :o

    Edit: You can also overlay achievements now and track them kind of like PiP instead of snap and pick a location on screen from a grid of 9 , handy for those kill X amount type ones. A function I will never have any need of :o

    I'm not on the preview program, but I find that a lot of those 'kill x number of y' acheivements dont track. They'll still pop, but the % towards completion never changes. Is it applied on a game by game basis?

    Yes, game by game basis.

    The game devs have to code the achievements that way. Some games will say x out of 15 kills and in others it won't show but it will pop when achieved.

    I think Titanfall 1 was one the first games to show the real time achievement tracking. Rather than just popping when achieved you could check the achievements app and see your progress.

    Snap is gone. It's being replaced with a picture in picture mode eventually. Also, overlay support is starting to roll out already, like the achievement tracker in this release.

    Saw on reddit you can now get rid of phantom dlc and add ons from games you might have uninstalled but not the adds, it's there in settings, system, storage, manage left over add ons.

    I freed 10gb

    New update coming tonight or tomorrow, with bug fixes, and three extra features:
    Built-in Beam streaming (Xbox One, Windows 10 PC): Beam is the easiest and quickest way to stream gameplay, and it’s part of Insider builds starting later this week on your Windows 10 PC, with Xbox One functionality releasing to preview soon. For the creators out there, we wanted to make it easier for you to start your live game streams without any delays so you can quickly connect and engage with your viewers no matter where they are. On Beam, streams have under one second of delay; using our brand new streaming protocol dubbed “FTL”, you can interact with livestreams as if you were in the same room as the caster. What’s more, any stream can incorporate simple interactive features such as sound boards. Starting later this week on Windows 10 PCs, you can start Beam broadcasts by pulling up the Game bar — Windows key + G. And coming soon on Xbox One, you can also begin streaming directly from inside the Guide. The ability to manage your Beam broadcasts and interact with fellow gamers on chat will appear as overlays.

    New Cortana gaming enhancements (Xbox One): In the coming days, we’re adding additional Cortana updates to enhance your gaming experience even more, such as voice controls for Party commands and using Cortana to play music. We’re streamlining the UI and improving things behind the scenes to make your experience better. In case you missed it, we also added for select Xbox Insiders a few new Cortana updates to Xbox One earlier this week, including setting reminders.     Screen time (Xbox One): Parental controls are a huge priority for us at Microsoft, as we strive to offer the most comprehensive and customizable family features possible so gamers of all ages feel safe and secure when using our platforms. That’s why the family timer we know and love is coming to Xbox One as screen time, updated for today’s digital family. Parents familiar with screen time for Windows 10 will find a similar set of controls for Xbox. Set daily time allowance and limits on the web for each child—your Xbox will pick those limits up and enforce them whenever the child is signed in. Screen time for Xbox One will be available soon. To prepare, head over to microsoft.com/family, sign in with the account you use for Xbox Insider access, and make sure your children’s accounts are all set up as a part of your family. When Xbox screen time is available, you’ll be able to manage it there.

    There's a few more Windows 10 only features listed here.

    The screen time limits seem like a great addition for parents, and I'm hearing more and more good things about beam.

    EDIT: A few people in Microsoft had their wires crossed, there's a bug fix update soon, and then the stuff above will be released in the next week.

    New build is out tonight, no word on whats included yet, but I'd hazard a guess that it's got the new features above.

    KNOWN ISSUES:
    • Ubisoft Club
    When launching the Ubisoft Club app, the screen automatically starts scrolling down, and prevents the user from scrolling back up.

    • Sign-in
    With profile sign-in settings set to “Lock it down”, you may be unable to sign-in again after playing a game, then signing out.
    Workaround: Hard reset the console (hold down the button on the front of the console for five seconds until it fully powers down, then power it back on).

    • EA Access
    The EA Access app may indicate you are not an EA Access subscriber when you are. This does not affect your ability to download or play games from the Vault, or receive discounts on EA titles.

    • Jump
    Microsoft Edge webpages which have been pinned on the Jump tab fail to launch the webpage.

    • Screen Dimming
    The screen may dim after a short amount of time while viewing videos in certain apps (Hulu Plus).

    • Settings - Ease of Access
    When enabling the Mono output setting in Ease of Access - Audio, Settings becomes unresponsive, crashes, and fails to launch on subsequent attempts.
    Workaround: To launch Settings, perform a hard reset (hold down the button on the front of the console for five seconds until it fully powers down, then power it back on).

    • Settings - Display & sound
    The Audio output page is under construction and some of the new settings are not yet functional. New support is planned for Dolby Atmos for home theater, Dolby Atmos for headphones, and more in upcoming builds. An announcement will be made when these new features are ready to try out; enabling these settings now will have no effect.

    • IGN
    The IGN app launches and immediately crashes to Home.

    • Wireless Display
    The Wireless Display app fails to launch and immediately crashes to Home.

    Anyone having issues with the new update i had to factory reset my xbox and now it is far slower and some apps like the blueray player is not downloading

    Beam just went live for those in the Alpha ring. It's not a new update, just required a restart for it to appear in the guide.

    Is sharing to activity working for everyone cant share picture or anything for some reason all its says is something went wrong try again later. Has to be shared in upload studio in sure before you could just do it when u took picture but it doesn't give me option now.

    Few weeks with this now and I don't miss double tapping that guide button. It's unreal the difference between the launch dash and what we have now in preview.

    Tested beam seemed to work ok but when I tried to load it in a browser on my pc , or her laptop it wouldn't show the stream I could see it in the little preview box when searching for it but when you go into the channel just got the spinning load circle :confused:

    Yeah, it seems like they're finally figuring out what people want from the guide. Don't know how it took this long, tbh.

    Beam works for me if I swap the Beam website into version 1. It's in the settings on the website.

    I could be wrong but I do not think PIP is happening, apart from whatever functionality Beam has.

    Yeah, just from the way they're talking about the new dash, and how the live tile impacted performance so much, it seems like they'll only bring PIP/Snap back if it has no effect on performance.

    So basically no chance then.

    Just a quick heads up for anyone that didn't see the Game Pass thread, Microsoft are bringing out a service like EA Access, and they're testing it by releasing it to testers in the Alpha ring. You can download the app through the Insider Hub, and gain access to the test catalogue of 21 games.
