Man, no one thinks about protection in the frantic, dizzying hype leading up to the big night. It's only afterwards when it's too late and the damage is done.

And even if you do, it's a midnight launch - you know the 24hr petrol station won't have anything official, you'll just have to use and empty tayto bag or something.
Even though that's a joke I still feel physically sick

It's the thought of greasy joycons

Surprised Angry Joe over on YouTube didn't think much of the switch at PAX.  Too big to carry around was one complaint.  Also didn't like the launch games at all.  His followers seem very aggressive towards the switch too.

Would one of these work instead of the official LAN adapter?

Except he's wrong. 3DS/Vita are too big for pockets anyway, and even a small console with a decent case doesn't fit in a pocket. Thats why everyone I know carries round a bag of some sort.

Register for the Nintendo Switch play events and you can play it in the coming weeks in either Manchester, Birmingham or London! I'm gonna go to Manchester.

Yes, it should but you can buy one for cheaper than that.

This guy is queuing for the switch a month in advance so he can be the first to get one. Missing the fact Japan and EU and AUS/NZ are head of their timezone, but still.

There's another muppet doing it too. That guy Triforce who was "first" in line for the Wii U. But like you say, they're not really first. I wouldn't give them any publicity.

He's not wrong. Mine fits perfectly. One of the reason I chose a standard over the XL.

I'm looking to buy a set of joy cons but I notice the straps are E5 each so I presume these are not included?

Straps are included as far as I know, just not the colour variants.

Thanks mate. So if I order a red and blue joycon set I'll get 2 grey straps? Which wouldn't bother me to be honest.

It should. If the red and blue straps are for sale at launch then they *chose* not to include them with the neon console. And the only reason to do that is cause you're a knob.

I think the default colour, including the ones that come with the Switch itself, is black.

I just pre-ordered BOTW to go with my Switch pre-order at Gamestop. First time in a long long time that I'm genuinely buzzing about a console release. All aboard the hype train, CHOO CHOO.

You know what would be sweet... South Park the fractured but whole double pack with the stick of truth on the switch. I'd buy the hell out of that.

Triiforce has been first in America to get Nintendo consoles for at least the last 4 generations. It's his thing.

Went and preordered Zelda and Switch 1/2. Mario Kart isn't launch as I thought for some reason but I threw a fiver down for it at the same time. Shouldn't have subscribed to this thread, getting super excited now :)

Did anyone get the Zelda special edition?

I would get it, but I couldn't see it on the GS website. Have I missed it? (That does happen from time to time).

Girl in the shop said it wasn't listed as they don't have a price for it yet. She's take my preordered for it and when the price came through she would downgrade me to regular if I thought it was too much.

It's crazy expensive and Europe gets an inferior version.......again! America gets a Special Edition and a Master Edition on Switch. Both of which are much better than Europe's "Limited" Edition. Limited being the operative word.

It's terrible that the Wii U version has been completely ignored. We've no Collector's Edition(great way to send off the Wi U, thanks Nintendo), we haven't seen any footage from the final build, we haven't even seen the final boxart.

Edit: Also, in the forthcoming Zelda ads for TV, it's all about Switch, they don't even mention that it's also available for Wii U. Not even a logo at the end. Considering it's the last Wii U game, there hasn't been a Wii U for nearly 3 years. It was a free chance to kill 2 birds with 1 stone. To hell with confusion, it's not an excuse.

Gamestop always offers free posters and what not with pre orders and I never receive any of it

Are Smyth's due to give me goodies on the night or am I "just" getting a Switch and LoZ?
