same one as i saw for 20 euro. Any good?

I doubt it, though I'm sure it records something, certainly not HQ video,

I bought a cheap one a few years ago for about €12 on Amazon, just to see what it was like for the money. It worked, and the video wasn't terrible.

I wanted it as a travel dash cam as I drive a lot of rentals, but afterwards I got a G1W as the travel dash cam, as it's a much better camera (I'd argue he quality is better than the DDPai M6+ I recently bought).

I saw this one in Heatons for €15
What resolution does it record at? 800*600?

Cards are genuine. Anyone else have this issue.
Plug it into a computer, and copy 64GB of data onto it, and see what happens. I'm guessing one of the cards may be faulty, and that you'll get a read/write error before it fills up.

    Thanks CD,

I have run the SD card software & all is OK. Could be the write speed OK. Will investigate. Works OK for a few weeks & then throws the 3 beeps.

    Thanks,

    T.

    No worries.
I had the video quality of mine set to "Super fine", I've just reduced it to "Fine" to see if it helps. ( @ 1920 x 1080 )

I was getting the 3 beep issues with my "Toshiba Exceria 64Gb XC 1" card, but not with my (newer) "G Skill 32Gb Class 10".

While I am playing with the settings, I'm going to set the exposure from "Spot" to "Average" to see if it helps with over-exposed reg numbers in low light. May make it worse, but worth a shot.

    regards,
    CD

Would I be right in saying that dash cams aren't worth Jack Schitt in a court case? If yes what's the point in having them? Just to let you know this is coming from a driver with 2 dash cams in 2 cars.

Like all evidence i'm sure they would definitely be considered a good witness and proof of innocence as long as the date is correct.

Any evidence can be used in court.

If an evidence that significant is not allowed, it makes a solid ground for appeal. And judges don't want lost appeals to ruin their stats.

I think the biggest value they provide is to prevent a court case. Once video evidence is provided most people or their lawyers would run away.

Yeap, this is pretty much it. Far before any case is brought to court, the solicitors and barristers have a chat, and rocking up with a video of the client or defendant in a unfriendly legal position would either have the case dropped or a payout issued without court proceedings.

Got one of these from ebay. Looks exactly the same, different box. Coloured button on right. Piece of thrash. Never saw poorer quality video. Couldn't read a reg plate at four (yes 4) meters. Got a full refund.

Need more advice for this Möbius .
Have it hardwired in the car.
But when I turn the ignition on it starts, but when I crank and start the engine it turns off and I need to push the but to manually to get it working.
Any advice on what to try?

What way do you have it hard wired in? Are you using a fuse tap?

Yep using a fuse tap and this:
    http://s.aliexpress.com/juqmmYni
    (from AliExpress Android)
Have had a xiaomi dash cam for months using the one USB port.
I connected the Möbius to other USB.
No problems at all with the xiaomi dashcam.

I'll have a look at the settings on my mobius later.
If you drive a Mk III Octavia I can send you a photo of the fuse I tapped from.
I'm not a sparks but if I had to guess it sounds like there's a power drop when you start the car, which causes the mobius to immediately turn off.
Maybe setting the go to sleep parameter to a few seconds after power off might fix it?

    Thanks josip,
    nah I drive a ford cmax mk1 :p
Ye its a strange one,it doesn't happen all the time tho, only every now and again.
Ye I changed one of the settings to keep it going for 10 seconds after power disconnects but still no luck.

My dashcam seems to have an issue with corrupt videos.
It's a nextbase some or other purchased from halfords a year ago.
Some of the videos, once copied to PC, I cant watch them, get an error.
There could be 10 videos that are fine, then a few corrupt, then another 10 that are fine, etc.
I could be wrong, but it seems all the corrupt videos are the ones taken in the dark. What could be causing this?

Highly likely to be your SD card. Is it class 10 ? Buy a new SD card from a trusted source and you should be good.

Its a samsung class 6 bought off amazon.
Out of curiosity, how would a faulty SD card result in only videos taken in the dark being corrupt?

I would'nt have thought so. Any reason why you bought the class 6 ? I use class 6 in my 0801 because the class 10 will not work without faulting. The nextbase ones you have use class 10.

Is the bitrate the same for night and day video capture ?

It was bought for something else when on special. "Borrowed" it for my dashcam once I got the dashcam. Will have a look around for a class 10. Thanks

Is the general consensus in the DashCam community that the DDPAI M6 Plus is the best cam for cost balance between quality and price? I've an itchy finger to buy it and seems it comes fairly highly recommended around the internet? Any input appreciated :)

Class 10 means its the fastest writing speed available at present, much faster than Class 6

I've an issue with my Nextbase 312 cam. When I playback anything that has been recorded, there is a noise every second throughout the video. It's like a buzzing or a vibration noise. I've checked that the mount is on right and all seems ok. Has anyone come across anything similar?

I've not been bowled over by it!!

Quality is meh, the €40 G1W I use as a travel dash cam is better quality in my opinion.

Just looking at some video files from my DDPai M6+ there and there seems to be a big audio sync gap!!

the sound is about 10-15 seconds ahead of the video!! Anyone else have this issue.

note* I've never updated the software since I go the camera about 3/4 months ago!
