Don't be silly. He's holding a melon under his left arm.

Wales have picked ther team for Italy match. All as expected really. Only slightly surprising call is Nicky Smith starting instead of Evans.

I still prefer Williams at FB and halfpenny on wing and would have liked to see Thomas Young in as backrow sub. I hope Sam Davies gets decent game time as a good 6N even off the bench could see him as a Lions bolter

Wales: Leigh Halfpenny; George North, Jonathan Davies, Scott Williams, Liam Williams; Dan Biggar, Rhys Webb; Nicky Smith, Ken Owens, Samson Lee; Jake Ball, Alun Wyn Jones; Sam Warburton, Justin Tipuric, Ross Moriarty.

Subs: Scott Baldwin, Rob Evans, Tomas Francis, Cory Hill, James King, Gareth Davies, Sam Davies, Jamie Roberts.

Good to see Scott Williams in ahead of Roberts. He's a fantastic player if he can stay fit.

Wheres your man at Glasgow? Favaro i think he's called?

Strange one, he was called up to replace van Schwylk (spelling?) but he's nowhere near the squad.
    Good player though.

It will be interesting to see how teams approach the bonus points this year. Is it going to be the usual win first / bonus point after or will there be a real attempt to pick up the extra points because we only have two home games?

I'm not sure the impact will be that great to be honest. Teams would usually chase high scores previously because of the importance of PD.

Strange, seeing as 'goujon' is a species of fish.

I imagine italy will be well beaten by half time in all their games as teams will be going for the bonus point from the off and then take the foot off in the second half..

The relatively bizarre fact that bonus points only really matter once you lose a match will make it interesting in how teams approach Italy.

You'll need the bonus point if you want to win the championship, but not getting it is ok so long as you don't lose any other match.

So in Ireland's case you're in the 70th minute against Italy (or Scotland!) and you have a penalty with 3 tries on the board and you're only 2 points ahead. Do you put it in the corner or take the points? It's a choice between either going to the corner and getting the BP as insurance in case you lose to one of the three traditionally tougher teams to come, or do you take the points to put Italy (or Scotand!) out of reach and back yourself to beat France, Wales and England?

Bonus points don't magically make teams better. They supposedly make teams more ambitious, and therefore riskier. So yes, for some going to the corner instead of going for goal will result in killing Italy off sooner, but in other situations teams who sacrifice taking the points may fail to convert and therefore give Italy a better chance.

And even if he doesn't just remember to tell him after he wins his first major role that it was all down to the anger and disappointment you created in him by not going to that play all those years back.

It's win-win, you'd be a fool not do it actually.

Anyone got the RTE promo/intro for the Six Nations this year? They usually leak/go early - I'm not including the "We take you there" one they did glorifying RTE, in their last year for a while.

It's a rugby tournament, not a play, but I think the advice still applies. If they get knocked out early we could get back for the second half...

Probably over in time for Le Crunch. They moved the pro game up to lunchtime.
