Trump is amazing to watch, such a charismatic person. I can see why he got elected alongside his policies.

I'd have to disagree. I've deliberately watched several of his last speeches and he's very repetitive. If you then read the transcripts of his speeches, they sound quite juvenile.

What he is very good at is tapping into a crowd and plamás-ing them. But he is not a naturally good orator and you can actually see his attention wandering even as he is giving a speech

Calling ISIS "sneaky rats" is probably how a lot of Americans feel. But all he is doing is giving ISIS incredible propaganda material of wet-dream proportions.

Banning Muslim immigrants, calling Islamic Terrorists "sneaky rats", advocating torture, moving the US embassy to Jerusalem, emboldening Netanyahu and Putin....

If you're a leader in ISIS you've been literally praying for this day. Refusing to accept refugees/Muslim immigrants will create an even bigger vacuum for ISIS to step in to recruit.

Again, I don't think what he's saying is that different to how a lot of Americans feel. But I don't think Trump has the faintest idea of the consequences of this rhetoric. Obama knew well he'd be giving them ammunition by conflating terrorism with religion so closely. Trump is just handing them ammunition.

I fully expect the next 4 years to be brutal in terms of terrorist attacks on western civilization. What we have seen in France, Belgium and elsewhere is going to look very mild compared to what's in store under Trump.

    .

How did isis grow to be the most notorious terrorist organisation on the planet before they were called sneaky rats or before anyone gave a second thought about taking in immigrants from those areas? You have a problem with calling islamic terrorists sneaky rats from a diplomatic point of view? These arent even in the grey area of possible 'freedom fighters' these are the lowest of the low. I don't think any muslim is going to go 'oooh he called isis sneaky rats, i was on the fence about joining them, but now it's decided!'

From the European Union. Regaining our Independence.

Your leader is lying prostrate at the feet of Trump, pledging fealty and grovelling before a person she despises to her core because the UK is so desperate.

You wont have independence outside of the European Union.

Did he say in the press conference that America supports a "free and independent Britain" - does he think it's in Eastern Europe of something ????

If he thought it were in Eastern Europe, it being free or independent is pretty much the last thing he would want to see.

It's because of how ISIS recruit, which is ironically enough very similar to how the alt right recruit. 'Sneaky rats' and the likes are very similar to Clinton's "deplorables" gaffe that the alt right then successfully claimed she was using against all people not voting for her. ISIS etc love, love, LOVE when Muslims (especially Muslims in the west) get more and more alienated because it is easier to manipulate and recruit them, and they'll be getting all over those kind of comments and passing them off to Muslims across the world as something he said about anyone who follows Islam, not just the terrorists. And given Trump's prior comments and propositions, it's going to be an incredibly easy sell.

Every Speech I have heard from trump has been very insincere, negative, confrontational, nothing positive.

Only a week in the job and he already in a spat with is nearest neighbour. Who's next?

You're not giving muslims much credit here? Isis is an easy sell to them because trump called them sneaky rats? And if he didn't, isis would have the moral fibre never to just make something up in order to recruit?

Trump is totally wrong about the EU.
The EU needs reform to make itself more accountable to the people, but it would be a most backward step if the EU broke up. The UK did not get it's freedom, it simply got itself less influence and really handed power in Europe to Germany and France.
Which is rather strange given WW1 and British involvement was due to the Germans becoming a threat in terms of being more powerful in Europe.
Despite the efforts of the British their empire was lost, and they ended up joining the EEC.
Trump can be as nationalistic as he likes, but it doesn't change the fact the British made themselves less powerful in Europe, and countries like little old Ireland is part of a Union that offers more to be in than out.
Trump seems to fail to realise the UK are making themselves like Serbia, Moldova, Albania etc who are outside the EU and the EEA. Norway seems to not be enamoured by having them in EFTA.
I think Trump is wrong as I would guess a majority of the citizens of the EU are more than happy to be members and have their European Union citizenship, and are not overly impressed with the UK and Brexit.

So what were Cameron and Obama doing to recruit so many thousands of ISIS members?
I mean ISIS had so many members they were able to have well over 6,000 members in Libya alone.

It's an easy sell because it makes it easier to convince them that the US and by extension the west and on Muslim in general, hates them. Which is exactly what the alt right went about doing on the back of Clinton's 'deplorables' comment. They are asking a lot more of those they are recruiting obviously, but they also only need to convince 10-15 out of every million Muslims in the world to build an army of thousands. And it's a strategy that has clearly been working for them for over a decade.

Considering how many countries had to declare freedom from the UK, it's about time it declared freedom from itself.

US, Russian and general western military actions going back to the Cold War have played an absolutely massive role in the emergence and growth of Islamic extremism. Mixed with the exportation of Wahhabism from Saudi (ironically getting their funding from those same countries, and getting free passes where others don't) spreading health services and education through many regions badly lacking in them previously due to a lack of funding and infrastructure among other concerns, it's created quite the perfect sh*tstorm to get things to where they are today.

It's pretty sad when the term alt right is used to smear a majority of trump supporters. Comparing what Clinton said to how a terrorist organisation recruits is laughable.

People seem to forget that what she said wasn't at a rally, she said it at a Barbara Streisand fundraiser, she was pandering to her audience and her elite friends. Not only did she say what she did, she basically went to say the other half of his supporters are misinformed, that must be the only reason they're not voting for me, i.e. either you're racist or you're dumb. Can you see why that might not go down well?

If the disconnect between her, and her elitist buddies and most of America wasn't already established , it was after that speech. The revolt about what she said had nothing got to with the alt right, or white supremacy.

Trump “I have been very strong on Mexico. I have great respect for Mexico. I love the Mexican people.”

    now that's an alternative fact...

So pretty much exactly what the Anti-Trump folks did for Trump?

If only she was more PC. Nice to see Trump supporters defend the alt right instead of distancing themselves from them.

Thaats who Clinton was talking about when she mentioned the deplorables. Trump supporters refuse to distance themselves from neo nazis because they need their votes.

Thank you for proving my point. Someone makes a comment about a specific subsection, and that subsection in turn go and pass it off as a comment made in reference to everyone in any way associated with them.

And who brought up the basket of deplorables comment comparing it to how terrorists recruit?

    Get off it dude.

The Obama administration refused to distance itself from vile neo-nazis in Ukraine whom they supported to the hilt, and that's provable, unlike your assertion.

What did your video have to do with any of that again?

And yes, the alt right absolutely did push that narrative that a comment directed towards them was directed towards everyone. Just as ISIS will do with comments like 'sneaky rats'. And your response to my post outlining that pretty much proved it for me, so cheers on that front at least. :)

The alt right are clearly neo Nazis. Check out some of their websites.

I posted the video because he called me stupid/racist, say something stupid and get a stupid rely.

I don't agree on your analogy at all, all that speech did was create a wider divide between the sense of elitism and disconnect between the every day person and cronies in DC. People don't become white supremacists or neo nazi's over night.
