The UK needs to get on with the US. Theresa May is serving in the best interests of her country.

She made a whore of the country. She has disgraced herself. May ruin find her.

Looks like the honeymoon with Russia is over. Trump wants to create safe havens in Syria.

I see Nimitz mentioned in the link.
I was in Fredericksburg three months ago where Nimitz is from, and they have a museum there for the Pacific war, outside they have a submarine sunken into the ground.

I hope Russia will be allowed to fly through them. I was told it will cause WW3 if they can't

Latest from Spicer is that Trump will impose a 20% tax on Mexican imports. You can't make this stuff up. So who exactly is paying this 20% tax? Yep.

Trump will punish leaders who don't agree with him. Why should Mexico burden the entire cost for the wall? Trump was not even willing to negotiate and pay half.

    From link:
Former president Barack Obama refused to commit resources, arguing that the US would get bogged down in an intractable conflict and could be drawn into clashes with regional powers, including Russia.

Trump would be better to keep the Obama policy in regards to Syria and let Russia, Turkey and the Assad government deal with it.

We'll have to see what Putin wants. That's what Trump will do.

He's not punishing anyone but his own consumers with this tax. America will pay for this wall, one way or another.

lol, it would be far better than safe havens.

Trump is not right in the head. Having a man of his intellect in charge of the most powerful country in the world is a recipe for disaster.

It is not about his intellect. It is about his temperament.

A lot of Trumpolini fanboys praise his 'fists up' (while ironically claiming he is a pacifist, non-interventionist) attitude.

Fists-up diplomacy is not a one way street. You can beat others down, you can use your strength to subject others... but sooner (and in this instance it appears to be so) or later, your victims realise they will lose as much fighting back as they will kowtowing to your belligerence.

Trumps entire plan for 'making america great again' is based on saber rattling and brinkmanship. Brinkmanship leads to ruin. It will lead him to ruin.

    How? Explain her 'fantastic' diplomacy?

She went, Chamberlain like, and flattered an ego and debased herself and her nation.

While I don't particularly agree with the poster's language, you have an assumption that respect is required. Once again, I must remind you. Respect is earned, this is why so few have respect for Donald Trump for example. I strongly doubt that you had any problem with his disrespect towards Obama by repeatedly accusing of not being an American.

Agreed, he speaks in an adult to small child language, it is very strange. Does anyone know what lies behind Presidential executive orders. Are there broad-ranging discussions or can they be forced through without much debate.

It will be very interesting how the World responds to the repositioning that America is undertaking. World politics needed a shake-up especially Europe they have become such parrots but Europe is not used to moving at speed.

She's between a rock and a hard place politically at home with Brexit and vainly hoping she can cosy up to Trump in the hope of securing a favourable trade deal when the EU don't play the exit game as she wants or expects. That any leader ( Kenny included) would go cap in hand and lick ass of the likes of Trump, who favours the reintroduction of torture and bullying and lying as a means to an end, is reprehensible. They deserve each other !

Teresa May with Brexit is a bit like Trump with the presidency.
Both have ideas and plans, but there is not much substance to anything at this point in time.

The UK has to form a relationship with the United States. Donald Trump actually likes the UK and it is very important Theresa May reaches out and gets a trade deal post Brexit.

Trump is quite happy with Brexit so I think May will be able to get a good deal. Trump doesn't seem to like the EU, or at least Putin doesn't

I expect Trump won't find the rest of Europe ( probably excluding Ireland ) as spineless in their adulation or as "needy" as the British PM appears to be, based on her pronouncements in the US as reported tonight

Amidst all the noise today I think the most worrisome was Trump's pick for ambassador to the EU predicting the end of the Euro within 18 months and further disintegration of the Union. While there is nothing new in this kind of chatter, the fact that it's coming from a senior official in the US is troubling.

While Europe is worried about Russian interference in elections, we should also be concerned about US undermining European democracy and its institutions. It's not like the US doesn't have form in this area.

If he does come, I expect the numbers protesting will well exceed the lickspittles waving American flags.

Any man who must say "I am the king" is no true king comes to mind.

A strong leader is just strong, a little dog barks a lot to make itself look dangerous.

Can someone tell that to A Little Pony when he regurgitates the same old platitudes for his Dear-ito Leader?
