Foals playing their only UK gig this year headlining Citadel festival in London on Sunday 16th July, probably the same weekend as Longitude.

given that their only Irish gig last summer was at the Marquee in Cork (after the 3Arena earlier in the year), could see them headlining Longitude, or being one of the top names at EP.

It is EP. They posted it on their Twitter account yesterday before taking it down.

Yeah, they're also playing Benicassim (also run by MCD) that weekend w/ The Weeknd, so it wouldn't be a shock to see both on the Longitude bill. Possibly The xx as well.

They also played Belsonic at the end of June.
Lots of comp tickets and still only a couple of thousand there.

I wonder if we are getting any marley park gigs at all? The longitude site hasn't been updated. You'd think if it was coming back they'd at least confirm the dates by now?
I know the residents in the area have always given out about the gigs so any possibility that mcd are looking elsewhere?

Was wondering that myself about Longitude, nothing on their website about dates for next year but I'd say it will happen on the 14/15/16 July? I had a look at their facebook from this time last year and they didn't have any posts confirming dates or when the line up was to be announced. They just came out with the line up on Friday the 22nd, so hopefully this Friday we will hear something.

Everything has been awfully quiet as you say. Hopefully they release some information by the end of the month at least. Maybe they haven't finalised all the acts or are struggling to get the right line up together, who knows?? Fingers crossed though

I meant to get a ticket for Nathan Carter at the 3 arena when it went on sale and for a long time after but between one thing or another never got around to doing it. Saw a post the night before last on Facebook from him saying the Dublin gig is now all sold out. I went over to ticketmaster and checked for a ticket and I was delighted to get 1 ticket for standing. I had just about enough money in my account too for it.

Played around on ticketmadter this morning and there's a few tickets here and there coming up in seating but no standing. I wanted a standing ticket and all so I'm delighted. Looking forward to moshing around to Wagon Wheel.

As for this year's gigs, that's all I'll be going to for now unless if anything else comes up or smaller gigs in my home city.

    Would Nathan Carter sell out?

Yep! The 3 arena is as good as sold out now. On Nathan's facebook, it says it's sold out. I was able to get a standing ticket though. There's a few more single tickets or double seats together here and there but it's as good as sold out now. 9000 on the night according to a Facebook video.

I notice Celine Dion has announced a European Tour with no Irish dates mentioned as yet. There are UK dates. She is playing some stadiums in Europe, she would hardly fill Croke Park would she?

Yep! The 3 arena is as good as sold out now.... 9000 on the night according to a Facebook video.
Wiki shows 3 arena capacity as

    13,000 (standing and seated)
    9,000 (all-seated) (no standing)

as you say there is standing then it would appear it was going to be curtained off, i.e. they do not sell or open the upper seating sections. I think some gigs start out planning to be curtained off, but if it does sell a lot they can then decide to open the upper section and sell those.

On ticketmaster I was able to order 8 tickets seated together right now. These were in row 34 section P. This is the second row in the upper section. Maybe this has only started to be sold.

I cannot buy even a single standing one. If I go for 2 seated I am not in the upper section. Even though I have no interest in him I am very curious about how the ticket selection works.

I'd be interested in knowing how it works too. During a Facebook video last week, he said there will be 9000 on the night and there's about 200 tickets left before it's sold out. Just played around there and I was able to get 4 tickets in block G, row 21. If you were given seats in block P, that would be the upper tiers. I would presume the tiers before that would be sold like like Block, M, N, O. I'd be interested in knowing how it all works out.

My preference was for standing and I reckon I just got lucky.

I remember looking at the Aviva Stadium wiki page a while back and they had her name down in the concert section for a June 2017 date

The ticket prices are ridiculous ,especially in the UK.

    For example Manchester
    UPPER TIER ...
    £72.80* - £137.50*
    LOWER TIER ...
    £109.45* - £137.50*
    FLOOR SEATED ...
    £109.45* - £137.50*

Being nosy I popped over to the wiki page. Her name doesn't appear there any more. Robbie Williams and Phil Collins appears for June 2017.

Them prices are crazy. There's very few musical artists I would gladly pay that kind of big money to see and Neil Diamond isn't. I mean like I do like his music but no way would I pay that kind of money. What's holding me back from going to see this lad is that the gig is on a Tuesday and mid week gigs don't suit me.

Same goes for Phil Collins. I like his music but I'm not going to pay 90 quid for a pitch ticket. That and it's on a Sunday too.

Celine Dion was mentioned and I like her music too but I'll probably give a gig a miss too.

There's very few I'd pay big money to see.
