    Malcolm Butler. Pro Bowl cornerback.

Antonio Brown is the best WR in the NFL and was kept scoreless in two games against Butler this season.

BB doesn't really line up his CB1 against WR1s he likes CB2 with a lot of safety help.

Any audiophiles on here that could help me figure out a headphone amp that will allow me listen to records from a turntable that only has RCA out?

I've seen a few solid state options that don't seem all that amazing and have come across this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Little-Dot-MKII-Headphone-Amplifier/dp/B00A2QMAI2/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1485289444&sr=8-9&keywords=headphone+phono+amp

Is a tube amp for this utter overkill or not?

haha, I came here in the hope of managing to avoid the hipsters of the audio forum. I forgot we had our own home grown talent. No 3 year residency rule needed!

Well, his 'own' ballads is stretching it a little, but when you've trekked the Urals to source an authentic Uyghur lullaby sound, who's going to split hairs?

What's your opinion on the relative merits of C3PO and R2D2? I mean obviously R2D2 is a crap receiver, but he's bloody quicker than C3PO. And as for BB3, great turn of speed and can turn on a sixpence...

Basic preamp like the bellow would do, once you have an rca into stereo jack adapter.

Yes, a tube amp is total over kill...

... unless you're converting to hipsteriasm, then buy two.

Went for the tube amp and AKG K550 Mk2s. Of course, the turntable is going to need upgrading to match my new found elitism on the audio front. Vicious circle.

Anyone else come across the term 'Patriotic Correctness'? Perhaps I just lead too sheltered a life but I'd never come across it before today in this article.

I think that the article could do a better job of delving into the term and its meaning but for me it was a bit of an aha moment bringing together the nationalism that I've seen with the astonishing ability of many Trump and Brexit supporters to ignore blatant lies. It also explains why I found myself surprisingly reluctant to delve into the Brexit debate as I felt like I didn't belong, excluded by the nationalism exhibited by a Brexit side which had little interest in ideas or logic.

It seems that it's no longer about ideas or truth or making the world a better place, it's about identity, it's about a feeling of belonging. I guess I can understand that better than what passed for ideas in the political sphere over the past 12 months or so.

    Lol @ Strabanistan! :D

Played hurling against them a few times, ended up on the operating table in hospital just the once (I was lucky). The Taliban would be scared of them f*ckers! On the plus side, when I was on the sideline losing blood, one of their subs offered me a swig of his flagon of cider... "To restore the fluids, like..."

I've brought it up in this thread before but there's an excellent talk that was given by Mark Blyth, if you have time to listen to such things, called Global Trumpism, which investigates Brexit, Trump, National Front and even what he calls "left wing trumpettes" with the likes of Corbyn, Syriza, Sanders etc

He makes a really good point that it's not only a political identity people feel is under thread, but a personal identity that is far more individual than nationalism and is heavily influenced by economics and globalism and has come down to a loss of status. Now he's a political theorist but also an economist, so he looks at things from a certain viewpoint. But I think it's the most convincing explanation for where we find ourselves that I've heard.

    Good man.

I'd spend a lot on coke and hookers but your plan seems more productive in fairness.

With that kind of money you could achieve long lasting peace in NI. Just buy the potato farl factory and close it down until the liars politicians knock their heads together and come up with a proper solution. Should be job done in a week or so...

Coke and hookers sounds like more fun though. On some exotic island. Perhaps I'd also be carried around on a litter, something akin to this.

On a related note, I saw recently that everyone's favourite Euromillions tycoon, Dolores McNamara, has been losing money hand over fist in property deals in Detroit through a fund she invested €5m in.

Everyone's favourite financial adviser, Eddie Hobbs, was the man who brought her into the fold on the deal through his former company. Every time I see this man's name, I shudder to recall how much of a slimeball that bloke is and the impact he had on naive people around the country.

She won over 100 million, right? Often wonder whether or not you really need to invest, that is the sort of money that sets you for life and your kids for life. You could live on interest no sweat.

Especially when the people who win may not have any business savy for investing sums of money and end up trusting people they otherwise shouldn't.

Have a few entertaining stories about the man myself that are best told at another juncture
