I was thinking I'd buy an Island but the woman on the news just said if you wanted to spend it all it once it would get you 8 mansions in Dalkey. Jaysus 88 million won't get you much these days.

All the usual ones in work here giving it the "That's far too much money for one person to win" and "it'll only bring more problems" etc.

We had the first three numbers and a bonus. Our hearts were doing 90 seeing the third number and then it was heartbreak.

I'd do an AMA just to gloat from my penthouse suite in NY. My Butler can do the typing.

$82 million will get you a grand place in New York. It would be useful to look down on all of the plebs :o

I did 4 lines without the plus for a tenner.

    One feckin number

The drugs you do in your spare time have no business being discussed on a lottery thread. 4 for a tenner is great value though.

I feel totally cheated because one of my lucky star numbers was 05 but on the same line i also had 05. Surely my lucky star numbers should be different to all the other numbers that appear on same line.

*I don't know the rules of this game

Run a sports bar for the fun of it ? In Dublin city center ?

With a name like "Don Corleone" I don't think he'll get any guff from the patrons.

Nope, you could have your 2 lucky stars come up in the first 5 drawn also. Totally possible.

You have all that money and you want a gaff in Majorca? Have a bit of imagination!

    pricey palace

Beautiful place. 2hrs away. Great golf. Great weather. And if you head north, towards deia, valdemossa & port soller by road, you'll see some breathtaking sights. I've been all over the island during the last 20yrs. I just love it there.

Alternatively get yourself a La Ferrari

Utterly impractical car, besides don't want hoards of boy racers fumbling in their trousers every time I stop at the lights.
Knowing this country it would probably get keyed in jig time without a 24hr guard over it.

This is Ireland's 10th Euromillions winner.
France has had 83, Spain 80, UK 63

I haven't checked my numbers so I'll just assume it was me.

I checked mine about 73 times to make up for you. It wasn't me, so it must be you so.
Genuinely think that amount of money would **** you up royally in this country. Don't get me wrong, I'm a greedy ****er but that amount of money marks you out for every lunatic out there. You're talking security tailing you for the rest of your days in this country. Anything under 10 million doesn't seem to attract the same attention. And yes I played it.

Stay anonymous and you can live in luxury with a low profile. If you head down the local boozer and start shouting "champagne for everyone" you're inviting trouble. Don't even let the extended relatives know.

You could charter a private jet to go to Florida for about 100k for up to 16 people. As long as you don't post it all over social media, no-one will know that you're travelling in a private plane rather than economy Aer Lingus with multiple stop offs.

Buy a nice car, and if anyone's nosy enough to ask, tell them it's on HP, or a lease or something. Install your swimming pool out of sight. If the neighbours ask what's happening, tell them there was a bit of subsidence.

If you have kids keep these things secret would be tough especially the swimming pool!

I won so to the delight of the alt right boardsies, I'm giving it all to the unemployed, homeless, asylum seekers, abortion clinics and LGBTQ charities

bit of a give-away and an indication that I had won would be straightened teeth , all teeth that are missing replaced and all whitened or veneered ... better keep me mouth shut so ....

True. If you've won, and you have kids, I'll look after the cash for you until they've left home. Or you can build the swimming pool (and pay for the upkeep) at my house and just pop around whenever you like.

Portugal are the luckiest when it comes to Euromillions. Several other countries have a higher number of Euromillions winners but no country comes close to Portugal when it comes to number of winners per capita. Don't have the figures to hand right now but looked into it a year or two ago. EG. France might have 80 winners (according to someone above) but have a population of 66 million. Portugal have about 55 winners with a population of 10 million. I think I read its because more forms of gambling are illegal in Portugal than elsewhere and the Lottery is one of their few legal forms and thus more Portugese buy more lotto tickets than the average European.

Ireland is slightly above average in the wins per capita stakes though IIRC.
