You probably would have needed a thread on here to get posters to pick your numbers.

There's a lot to be said for collective mass conscious, I'll throw in the number 7, just to get the ball rolling for Saturday's selection.

Just need the other 4, and the 2 bonus winning numbers now as well.

If me calculations are right and its true that there were officially 6,985 people officially homeless in 2016 (according to Focus Ireland) - if that was shared amongst them it would give them €12,598eur each .... - not to be sniffed at I suppose

Buy them all a one way ticket to southern Spain, nice and warm for them and no more crises here 😎😎

Well I got no email from the lotto.ie. so it wasn't me anyway.

But what the heck would you do with all that money anyway? Seriously.

I don't think I'd like to win that amount of money TBH. Says me having bought a ticket anyway!!

But I reckon the only way to cope is to give as much away as possible to family and leave more than enough for yourself.

Can you imagine the heart palpitations of the winner!

I'm delighted it was won in Ireland just the same. I'm sick of them Portuguese and so on winning it, sounded like a cartel to me.

I'd probably spend it all on lottery tickets...

The first big Irish euromillions win in about 12 months and their website gets that cloud flare page (I'm sure boardsies know the one!) and now it is down for maintenance ..... :D

Winner sets up own charity/foundation. Keeps it squeaky clean, winner is CEO, workers are family, no need for top ups or salaries.

That would be good. I would be wary of any other charity in this country now. Very sad that isn't it? But they did it all by themselves.

I'd do an AMA just to gloat from my penthouse suite in NY. My Butler can do the typing.

I know there are wealthy people all over the world.

But if you can afford anything, what can you aspire to?

Gold bathrooms, hookers galore, mad interior decoration, a trophy wife mistress, Hmmm.

No it has to be POWER. The ultimate goal.

And I am looking at a certain person with a combover here. LOL.

Just devide it up amongst children families and good friends. No one needs 88 million. Also if you know any disabled people who are waiting on council to approve their grants for toilets showers or stair lifts. Just go and pay it for then. It will be great for them and good karma for you as well.

Nobody in the world needs that sort of money. If it was me Id pay off my friends and families mortgages. Donate a few quid to a few worthwhile charities. Buy myself the dream house, open and run a sports bar in Dublin City Center and hopefully live comfortable for the rest of my life.

I'll spend a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I'll just squander.

I can confirm it definitely wasn't me anyway.

On a completely separate and unrelated note, does anyone know where a fella can procure a solid gold house?

In fairness, 88 million won't last long really.

give a fair wedge to kids waiting on important operations in Ireland .. and if they cannot get what they need in Ireland send them to US or somewhere where they can give them a better quality of life - they never asked to be born like this with ailments and disabilities and they dont understand the workings of politics and cuts to services and hospitals etc..

Bet it's some scrote that won it. No justice in life.

it will be some old doddery auld wan, one of the ones that count out their change in front of you and hold you up at the supermarket till whilst they count out their shrapnell :D

.. or it will be someone who has had money all their life and never had to rough it

.... Or it will be a methodical person who will "put it away as savings"

....or it will be some old lady smelling of wee and leave it all to a local cat shelter when she dies :D

me? - begrudger? - no never lol ;)

Necker island with family and close friends for a month to get my head around it.

Property in Florida adjoining a golf course.

Property in a nice ski resort.

Villa in Majorca with a dock for a small sunseeker predator.

    Lots of change.

    That'd be me done.

I am going to save all those unclaimed horses being put to sleep every year. Something like six thousand a year in this country or something barbaric. I was half asleep when I heard the article.

    But anyway, the horses.
