    Are Cork the only county without a supporters club?

    cyrill kavanagh would probably be a good man to ask that question to ;

    do cork need one ? they are one of the best supported counties in the country ....in hurling anyway

    What a stupid reply... a supporters club is in other counties to raise much needed funds for the teams. If cork hurling is so well supported of course it is a good idea to have a supporters club cause there shouldn't be a problem raising much needed cash for our teams.

    Would you hand over hard earned cash to the current board?

    The board dont deal with clubs or delegates in any meaningful manner, nevermind some group of supporters

    Of course not. That's why they are run independently and all funds are not giving to the county boards. Instead any money comes out of the supporters group when needed. That's the case in a few of the counties anyway

    Scarecrow, we are the only county in munster without a supporters club and that is a deliberate decisiin of the board. The lads dont want it as they fear it could take some of their power, the claim the club draw which dropped a huge amount again in 2016. Personnaly would like to see a supporters club used to increase the funding for underage development including far more support for schools and more dedicated gda's for the city and suburbs and major population areas like carrigaline, ballincollig etc funding for rebel og has stayed the same at 60,000 per year for the last number and we dont have enoygh gda's to adaquately cover a county like cork

    anyone can start a supporters club independently , up here there are two supporters groups one for each code with the money going directly into the players funds

    if you have a situation where it goes to the county board first it can disappear fast or just wasted , money is not corks reason for lack of success , having a county board that wont pay for adequate gym equipment or denying the team the use of there team van while pumping millions into a stadium might be

    It is but you get the point . The county board wouldn't be the best people in world to run a supporters club

    And they shouldnt run it, supporters club affiliated but independent and only funding underage development first, intercounty teams after. A decent cb would see a supporters club as a huge benefit, but in cork....

    Nice to see the hurlers doing well. Beating Limerick now would be a little boost for the Allianz leagues ahead.

    Would that be considered a strong team? I wouldn't be too familiar with the Cork team these days.

    That's the team on form. Whether it's strong or not we'll find out soon enough. A few young fellows getting their chance.

    Wish the team all the best for 2017.

    Cork 1-3 Galway 0-5 HT. Cork on top with a Kerrigan goal but with 8 or 9 wides not showing their dominance on the scoreboard. Cork have a strong wind in 2nd half.

    6 unanswered Galway points(2 before, 4 after HT) had Galway 3 up before Coakley gets Cork back on track.

    4 massive points from Colm O'Neill after coming on helps Cork to a draw, 1-11 to 0-14. 15 Cork wides and dropped a number into the keepers hands also
