Right, so you agree that the Press Sec flat-out lied on behalf of the administration to "win" an extremely petty cosmetic point which was blatantly provable. Do you think that's a warning sign?

Possibly. Look when the media were exposed to be working against him during the campaign I can to a degree understand the general backlash. On this particular point I don't agree with what they did and I'm not saying they were right. ( Trumps team ). It's a petty argument.

No, I'm not saying that. Trumps crowd was smaller than Obama's and he was wrong to say he had over a million or whatever. My point is the media purposely attacked him for having attendances that were never going to match that of Obama's.

Bill Clinton had 200,000 for his second term, George W Bush 300,000 etc.

I don't disagree with the people calling him out for saying that.

It might help if you went for less of the "it is wrong but here are the alternative facts anyway because the media is still also lying so it isn't too bad"

I should point out that there was no terrorist attack in Pisa. Should probably point that out to Trump supporters before they start claiming someone said alluha ackbar before pushing over the tower.

The media didn't personally attack him over this? All they did was accurately report the crowd size as "small", which it was. This didn't sit well with Trumps delusional view of himself so he had a hissy fit and made his press secretary go out and make a ridiculous statement and now he looks likes an idiot.

He was wrong to do it, don't know what else to say.

Small crowd, small hands. Somewhere deep in his psyche the word 'small' looms large.

    No.

Small hands just like skin tone are a feature of the person. Odd that.

The credibility you talk about is in your eyes. They have the platform now to tell the public what is really happening in America, the crime, drugs, property in middle class America, loss of manufacturing jobs, contract and low paid service jobs, massive debt to inflate popped bubbles from 2008 that is not the solution. Now you get to hear the truth so no I won't go away.

LOL. Thanks for self identifying as a stooge. They say self acceptance is the first step to recovery. :D

I wonder what the dynamic is like when he is working with his chief of staff and press secretary and deciding how to respond to stuff in the media, I wonder does he listen to what they say or does he just give orders? I thought his press secretary looked very uncomfortable during that press conference which would suggest to me that he didn't think this was the best course of action but he had no choice. I hope he hasn't just surrounded himself with yes men who never challenge him on anything because he really needs someone who can control his more impulsive tendencies.

Still not getting the whole perspective thing eh. There was a video already but for some reason you just can't source and image from that same angle. You admitted that Trump was lying already, why do you have to keep going?

Judging by the first two days of his Presidency I think we already know the answer to that.

Also for us who aren't in the US we don't want that at all. The Donald J Trump show is going to be a hoot to watch based on these early days. Already we have the "Greatest Inauguration Ever" and "Alternative Truth" following by a side order of lying all along about the tax returns being published. I do feel for the Yanks though, especially the ones who voted for him because he is going to let them down. In reality the swamp has got swampier and is now covered in gold plate. The poorest will no longer have health cover I doubt sincerely that the Donald will replace it properly at all. I

Have asked in the PC Trump thread. Anyone think Trump not taking the salary is about him being taxable if he did ?

How do you counteract someone in power like that who continues to tell 'alternative truths' and won't concede or apologise when those untruths are shown up for the bullsh*t they are though?

Like, the man insisted Obama was not a US born citizen. Has he ever apologised for that? Why are his voters putting faith in a man who wouldn't know the truth if it came up and bit him?

Surely that's a big frickin' red light right there, no?

Chuck Schumer, unless you're being sarcastic somehow and referring to Obama. :)

    other choice was Hillary..

    Not any more it's not.

Their commander-in-chief not only liked to tell 'aletrnative truths' during the campaign debates, but he's starting his presidency off with blatant lies now too.

How people could continue to support this fantasist is just beyond me.

Yeah there's something so unassuming about a 70 year old man smothered in fake tan with dyed hair that has the sh1t laquered out of it and a face botoxed into submission all topped off with a barbie doll third wife holding his small hand. Someone to look up to and admire.

And so it begins. Can't wait to see the tweets at 3am on Tuesday :)

Foreign Payments to Trump Firms Violate Constitution, Suit Will Claim

By ERIC LIPTON and ADAM LIPTAKJAN. 22, 2017

WASHINGTON — A team of prominent constitutional scholars, Supreme Court litigators and former White House ethics lawyers intends to file a lawsuit Monday morning alleging that President Trump is violating the Constitution by allowing his hotels and other business operations to accept payments from foreign governments.

The lawsuit is among a barrage of legal actions against the Trump administration that have been initiated or are being planned by major liberal advocacy organizations. Such suits are among the few outlets they have to challenge the administration now that Republicans are in control of the government.
