One problem listed in that article is "moving companies refusing to move the team out to their new city". Wow. That's serious commitment from those companies. I feel really bad for San Diego fans. I mean when your team is bad it sucks but you can always look forward to next year. But when they leave the sender of loss for hard core fans must be terrible. I don't think I could still be enthusiastic for the Bears if they left Chicago, and I wouldn't (probably) find a different team to support, so especially if you were FROM the city you would be losing the sport itself as a part of your life to some extent.

And that's setting aside the fact that they won't have any new fans in LA, not sure why they thought they would as it happens. There were so many better destinations for a team to move.

Its one side of the NFL I hate, billionaire owners abandoning cities who won't build them a subsidised stadium. I know an NFL team brings a lot of money into a city but it still grates on me. At least if Chargers fans want to stay supporting them it's only 2 hours away, St Louis fans were completely screwed in comparison

2nd team all pro this year. Saying its a neck injury. That's some tough luck for him.

I hope Green Bay can beat Atlanta, But Atlanta will be favorites. Unless Rodgers has a flawless game, I think Atlanta will have too much for them at home.

The 2nd game, Again New England will be favorites but Pittsburgh have a better chance of causing an upset. I like their chance if they can utilize the run game and keep Brady off the field. They need to do to New England, what the Cowboys didn't do to Green Bay.

    Colts have sacked Grigson.

My prayers have been answered. 100pc the right call, there is no argument.

Edit: Colts are having a press conference at 10.30 (GMT), could be announcing a replacement or even more.

Jim Irsay just said in a press conference that he is not in the mix, he will be looking at interviewing others.

Should an active player on the team really be commenting like that on managerial decisions?

Seems very strange to me anyway.

Yeah I was just thinking the same. Seems a bit crazy

Irsay says Pagano will be the coach for 2017. I dont think it ever really works out to have an new GM come in and not to be able to bring in his own coach

Good for them to finally do it, but why the hell are they doing it now and now two and a half weeks ago?

Never realised that he was so unpopular among the players too. McAfee, Wayne, Freeman and Brackett have all immediately come out and praised this/criticized him, however you look at it.

As a Colt, to hear Pat describing Ryan Grigson management as: 'treating humans absolutely horrendously for 5 years' was pretty critical.

Incredible that Pagano survives another year.

Again, another one spurts out this line.

Why shouldn't he get another year? When he came in they had just had one of their worst seasons ever. He certainly turned the ship around from there and while it hasn't been awesome it hasn't been brutal either. It would just take a good draft to get them back on track. Their draft process and trading is what has to be questioned imo. I don't think that's all on the coach.

While I do agree he's not as bad as some like to make out, it was Bruce Arians who turned that ship around. Though the Colts issues go way over his level, and may even prove to have gone over Grigson's too to be honest (not that he did anything but a poor job himself).

You have a point, but his record can be put into perspective. For a start he has been in a lucky situation that the AFC South has been the worst division in the last 5 years, and having Andrew Luck is a big advantage for us (still is). His record outside the division is 22-22 (excluding the 12 games missed in 2012). We made the playoffs from 2012-14 but I'm not sure would we have been able to achieve this if we were in a different conference.

The main problem has always been Grigson for me anyway. He failed to put a decent line in front of Luck and we have a terrible defense, one that will take a couple of years to build now. He is unlucky with the latter as he is a defensive coach, and has had almost nothing to work with.

Apologies that people disagree with you.
And I'm glad to see him back for another year from a Pats perspective, but not for Luck.

The NFL UK twitter account is hilarious with the Z list celebrities it retweets. Anthony Pilkington, Stephen Miller and Nick Knowles among tonight's superstar endorsements.

I was in the audience for the Late Late Show a couple of years ago and got a few on screen appearances, going to see if I can help them push their product.
