I think if you have a look back at the various posts some individuals are trying to point out calls are prioritised and are not dismissing you.

You're probably aware ,during the week in Lucan there was a murder , a relatated shooting and a fatal car accident all within twelve hours.
Let's say for arguments sake you were living in the area and your cars were vandalised that night , what would prioritise?

Most people I'd imagine do have genuine sympathy with your predicament.

I think people often don't understand how garda resources are deployed. Most station only have enough manpower to put a single patrol car out to respond to calls. Sometimes not even that. When you have incidents like that murder most of the manpower is assigned to preserving the scenes. You could have one patrol car covering 5 stations.

Also, no checkpoint has ever been set up to look for tax. Most Gardaí don't care about cars with their tax a few months out of date. Drink driving, monitoring movement of criminals and insurance. Those are the three things Gardaí care about at checkpoints, in that order.

Whinging????? Have reasons for that ignorance is sign of the weak
I don't follow the second sentence but yes, whinging. Lack of acknowledgment of guards who do their job well despite poor resources.
I agree there are those who seem useless but I think it's only fair to acknowledge both.

Nobody is trying to justify wrongdoing, just delving deeper than "they're all useless".

All the authority haters. I wonder what happened to ye as kids.

But seriously i do wonder! Do they ACTUALLY think that people take them seriously. Do they not realise people think that there attitudes are ridiculous and see through. Theyre the modern day loons carrying the doomsday placards in the town square.

They seem to have no concept of the real world and their minds maybe interpret things differently than other people???

I'm agreeing with you , like I said I have regular contact with Gardai through work and get how they work.

Hope it's not too tough to learn! Nothing wrong with discussing the guards and other public servants though - I do not agree with you that it should be forbidden. Why should it be? There is an awful lot of bullshít claimed about public servants so it's good to challenge this, and reasonable criticisms of the public service need to be allowed rather than state censorship.

this last post is very, very good

it is exactly - many crimes, garda must make priority to one, but not to others. if you are doctor, and you have two patients, one with a heat attack and one with cold, you treat the heart attack, not cold

    same with garda, ok?

But the same Garda stays in the town center doing nothing, I checked the same night to confirm my suspicions. So tell me how is it justifiable? As I said I saw 2 garda vehicles the same night doing nothing.

On the night you cars were vandalised, after you called the Gardai, you went looking to see what they were doing ?

Of the 5 cars only 1 was mine and yes I went to see what they were doing as I suspected that they would be doing nothing, it just confirmed that I shouldn't bother contacting the Gardai anymore and should try and solve the problems myself.

But you are the one that is making it about you, by vaguely relating your own experience , without giving any details.

If you want to criticise the gardai based on personal interaction, then at least have the balls to back up your points with some details.

Otherwise you're just coming across as a whinger.

Did you mention what you were convicted of?

I have to say I have to admire your persistence and determination .

I take it the car wasn't too badly damaged in the sense it was drivable.

You're throwing out accusations against the gardai without any back up.

I don't believe anything you've posted, other than you have been convicted of a crime.

I'm wondering now what the agenda is.

And for the record, I haven't posted any personal insults.

When you drove around the town looking for idle guards...and then you found them....why didnt you ask them if theyd been informed of your 999 call?

Is it because it didn't happen?

But they came out to you the next morning. Clearly they were unable to send a car out that night as they had other priorities.

How is it not danger if it's in the process? Do you think you that criminals on drugs or drink will not try to attack you if you approach them??? Yep have to deal with all them murders and rapes which are so many in Ireland that happens every minute.

Obviously it's dangerous if in process. I was referring my reply to a particular scenario given by the OP. Read the post I quoted.

If they were willing to help then they would have come instead sit on their ass doing nothing. Obviously they have been informed.

Because of how the system works, the dispatcher informs all units and then it's up to them if they want to act upon it or not.

Did they tell you they were informed?

How would they have known you needed help?

Are you assuming the "hierarchy " should have let them know of your problem?

The hierarchy that you say they pander to?

    Your posts have no credibility.

Because that's how most systems in the world work, are you seriously telling me that after calling 911 and reporting a serious accident in the process of happening nobody would care and not let any of the units know? Give me a break your post have negative credibility

You are full of it 112 and 999 are the only two emergency numbers for Ireland, maybe your mistake was calling 112 as you said.

No, I was never treated badly by the Gardai or got any kind of fine. It's just their lack of help that makes me angry. Since the criminals were not caught, I was forced to pay for the damages for my vehicle out of my own pocket and I didn't bother insurance as the quote would rise to the moon.

My car was damaged on the street one night while I was working , I knew guards had CCTV cameras facing my car and went in and asked if it was possible I could have footage or if they could investigate .

I got a " aaarrr sure well have a look later" , .... 3 nights later " didn't get a chance , cone back end of week" end of week , aaarrr cameras were down that night.

They were bolloxs . apparently cameras are there for community to help fight crime . ...they are yeh

    Few few years ago ....

Bouncers were chucking girl out of club, she throws glass and hits me , innocent by stander , guards come , take her name , details . call me in , she gave a faulse name . I tell them bouncer told me she used to work in local pub not much more than a month ago. ...sure well look into it and get back to you.......... ....

Only for the fact I went to Newyork two weeks after and clowns flew planes into buildings while there I'd have had energy to follow the glass incident up .

Twas a dangerous time for monkeysnapper

No you don't need a solicitor. You will have to give evidence in court that you saw whoever it was damage your mirror. Of course that is after you make your statement of complaint as a citizen to get the ball rolling. After that the countless adjournments ...Where you may have to waste a lot of your days ..Nothing to do with the gaurds ...Of course your taxes will be used to defend the poor auld devil. Solicitor will reluctantly keep making excuses for adjournments ..Blaming the gaurds etc ..But it's a vicious circle to keep the legal crowd ..Reaping the big bucks ..... Recall the efforts to reform the legal profession yap never happened ...!!
