nominee for energy secretary, former Texas governor Rick Perry
So Perry advocated dismantling the Department of Energy as a candidate in 2012 despite having no idea what the department actually does.

I would have thought it more an issue with the fallout from neo-liberalism than the left wing but the left wing under the guise of identity politics seems to be getting most of the blame.

On the plus side, no matter what happens, I'll be fine. I have sympathy for those who didn't vote Trump, for those who did, lol. This globalist elite has options and the little temper tantrum will hurt them more than it will hurt me. I can move to most countries and get a well paying job which allows me to afford food, shelter, health insurance and not even electing Trump will take that away from me. I might even get to pay less taxes!

The US is definitely Centre Right, the Democrats are closer to the centre and the Republicans are more to the right.

Probably thinks Germany is left wing too.

Trump doesn't know anything about the job because he never so much as looked at what's involved.

Because he neither expected nor wanted to get the job.

It's all a stunt gone horribly wrong. And he is going to have an absolutely miserable time - they guy is a narcissist who cannot deal with criticism without flying off the handle, and he is about to take a job as the most hated man in America.

Trump is going to spend his whole time in office near apoplexy.

    I think this partially true.

I don't think he ever thought he would actually win it, I mean the chances of him pulling off getting the GOP nomination were fairly remote at the beginning.

I don't think he appreciates how much is involved, or how much he now actually depends on people who have different views and priorities than he does. In Trump Tower he calls the shots he make the decisions.

But I don't think he will have miserable time. He is going to love it, being royalty everywhere he goes. He will delegate the actual work to Pence or others and simply focus on utilising this to maximise his, and his acquaitances', money.

As one of the Senators put it the other day, how will any of the cabinet know if the decision Trump is pushing for will not directly benefit Trump since he has not disclosed his interests.

We are about to see the biggest deal that Trump has ever pulled off in action

    What about July 3rd 1776?

I've always been partial to July 15, 1099.

Deus vult, slay the infidel, recapture Jerusalem and all that.

The fact is that Trump is grand with gay people but is traditional on marriage, apparently much like the majority of Irish voters his age.

I knew it would be that quote.. A lot of nothing really.

Repealing Obamacare? If Obamacare was actually good, it wouldn't get repealed. This year, it's increasing so much to be practically too expensive for people who are forced to pay it. $8k deductables on top of hundreds per month in premiums for some folk. And insurance was cheaper for people with no pre-existing.
I'd say it's a worse day for poor Americans. At least Mexicans are more likely to go south to get sorted or can leave the country to avoid the outrageous bills which will guaranteed soon be blamed on Trump.

But more importantly, that guy is one of 21 people Trump listed in May and I'm guessing Republican pressures played a part. And now that list has been automatically narrowed to 6 so that it's only the federal appeals court judges.

Saying "he's thinking about it" seems a bit of a stretch and we'd be safer waiting until it actually happens. Nominating this guy to the Supreme court isn't exactly going to change much very quickly. There are nine of them.

So no, I'm not convinced that January 20th a bad day to be a poor gay Mexican. No worse than it will be for a poor American.

I don't even know which post you're talking about but I've already said that I'm happy for America to have a complete retard as President.
I don't give a shỉt because they had their chance. I hope he fưcks the country up.. But that doesn't mean I want to put up with lies beforehand.

Maybe you've also heard of these quotes?

"You have people come in and I'm not just saying Mexicans, I'm talking about people that are from all over, that are killers and rapists and they're coming to this country,"

"The Mexican government is much smarter, much sharper, much more cunning. They send the bad ones over because they don't want to pay for them. They don't want to take care of them,"

Please explain how the 18,000,000 people who will lose health insurance, when Obamacare is repealed, will access health care under Trump?

Not just Pryor. Check out the attitudes towards gay people of Pence, Carson, Sessions, DeVos.

I repeat, not a good day to be a gay, poor Mexican.

Evil George Soros says he hopes Trump will fail and that Theresa May will not last long as prime minister. Always good to see the global elite against Trump. For years they have accumulated a disproportionate amount of the worlds wealth for themselves through pro establishment politicians, high taxes on the middle class and a controlled media spreading their lies to the masses.

    Good article here.

    http://www.independent.co.uk/voices/donald-trump-inauguration-white-house-president-optimistic-russia-economy-reasons-cheerful-a7531596.html

To summarise, many of the plans that Donald has could work, there are enough people in the senate that hate him to curb the worst excesses and things never work out as badly as we think.

Saying all that, George W Bush anyone!

Whilst I agree that Soros is the biggest representation of what is wrong with the worlds wealth, you really think he fears that Trump and a Tory are out to make the world more equal?

Perfect! Thank you, finally! so lowering taxes on the middles classes and free speech to the media are something you'll be judging Trump on! Whether by accident or not, it's nice that you've finally given us something. :)

No, it's part of the Trump mantra. Just like liberals always cry, Killary, fake news and drain the swamp. Trump makes up for his utter lack of political substance by shouting slogans which his followers lap up and repeat at every opportunity.

Well, I see CNN are covering themselves in glory again as they speculate that a Democrat might become president if somebody were to bomb the inauguration in what reads like a breathy libtard spank bank fantasy... stay classy CNN!

You're saying that Trump detractors call him Pervert Donald Trump, Hitler Donald Trump and Orange Donald Trump?

Care to point out anywhere in this thread (or the last one) where that happened for all three of them?

I think Trump's a pervert. He's spoken about assaulting women. He walks in on teenage girls changing. I don't however call him "pervert Donald Trump". I refer to him as Donald Trump or Trump.

Trump supporters seem to need to place a pejorative term in front of peoples names.

Trumptard seems to be the derogatory name that's catching on fastest, because it can refer to the man himself or his supporters.

Although were generally more respectful on boards.ie

So what? They have a fondness for epithets, I see no less vitriol or invective from the other side of the equation.
As I pointed out you have CNN speculating about Trumps assassination at the inauguration, which is, to borrow a phrase, just SAD.

In the case of Soros it's utterly justified, the man is a political Voldomort, he spends more time funding campaigns subverting nation states then Russia ever will.

Really? Libtard is constantly used on this thread. I would have thought that was the same difference…

You don't read daily mail articles expecting accuracy. It's about the emotion. The feelings. They've never valued accuracy.
