Yeah, it's hard to keep track of them all, Heidi. This is 'the old one' (from 2013)

[Friday BBC Four]11pm & 2.05am David Bowie - Five Years In The Making Of An Icon [The Old One]
Documentary exploring five key years in the singer's career, which saw him redefine himself as an artist by adopting a different persona - each one marking a shift in musical direction. Featuring interviews with his collaborators, the programme focuses on 1971's ultimate glam-rock icon Ziggy Stardust, Bowie's reinvention as the impeccably dressed soul stylist the Thin White Duke in 1975, his regeneration in Berlin with the critically acclaimed 1977 album Heroes, 1980's Scary Monsters triumph and Let's Dance's global success in 1983

The Last Five Years (the new one) is a sort of sequel, from the same Filmmakers.
    Cheers for that!

Have set that to record (have a feeling I've seen it before, but no matter), and will have a David Bowie love-in/binge night for myself some night soon!!

I guess that's why JP and Kid Jensen introduced the program in Mexican garb:rolleyes:

Couldn't find the Peel Session with Keith Harris and Orville.

    I think Jensen was lying.

Anyone watching Pat Shortt's Music From Da Telly on RTE!??? Just happened upon it now.... real throwback stuff!

(Yes, I know this is a BBC thread, but it's music......)

I remember this being awful, but I was wrong.

It exists on a whole new plane of awfulness.

    Orville and Keith Harris.

Yeah, there are some good performances on that show, I think its a repeat.

My online guide thing got confused and thought it was "Pat Shortt's Entertainment from D'Telly", which I think was another series with more general clippage.

In fact a weird premonition there because the very first Hits! album came out in 1983.

Video Killed the Radio Star on Sky Arts now, featuring the making of Bowie videos. Just watched Nile Rodgers in concert in France, worth catching again if repeated.

The first 'Now! That's What I Call Music' was also in '83

Nice one, might be worth a few quid now.

I think they are up to about Now 90 at the moment.

What a good song Heartache avenue was.
It would sound great with a big brassy horn section.

    Good tune, though.

In order to overcome the problem of the vocals overlapping you see.
