Oh God. The wheel. Here comes the plastic cr*p. Tennis raquets, golf clubs etc. And you have to pay for the coloured strap brackets. Come on. Nintendo. You're killing me. I want to love....... :)

    Oh thank God.

So........anyone want to sell me their Wii U?

Yeah after last night and this today, I'm going to just get Zelda for my Wii U. The other game I was looking forward to was Mario Kart but sure I have a pretty good version of that on the Wii U already. Plus I have my pro controller for the Wii U that I would have to buy for the Switch.

Hopefully a Mario Odyssey bundle at Christmas.

Such a shame after the excitement I've had since October.

Had to laugh at one of the lads putting a samsung 256GB SD card into the Switch, a quick look at amazon has them going for around £130

Really think HD Rumble and the IR Camera should have been left out, very gimmicky, doubt they'll be used too much and are definitely an expensive factor in the controllers, which are a massive price of the console.

Going $90 a pair to $300 for the package, the controllers cost 30% of the total price.

Was a gamer in a former life and I thought will the portable aspect it would be great for flights and buses but 2.5 hours is pathetic . It would be dead before I've boarded the flight!

That's with Wi-Fi Bluetooth and full settings fully on.

Those things off, and screen brightness down to middle it will prob last 4hours each charge.

Why are people forgetting this? It's the same with the 3ds, duh.

LOL when they open the case. "There's great storage capacity in there" :p

    Yep, unlike the console.

Ya those large memory cards are crazy expensive. Buying a 32GB memory card is no good.

$130 for the Master Zelda bundle.

Being honest I wanted them to get away from all this Wii motion control stuff with the switch.

Me too, I remember when it was still up in the air if the Joy-cons had gyros and motion controls....now it seems that this is all the system is being built for

Didn't they push back the release from August/September last year for an undisclosed reason? Most speculated it was to have a strong launch lineup which is now shown to be bull. Probably it was that Zelda wouldn't be ready and that's all they are hanging the Switch on.

And Nintendo has released f**k all on WiiU the past year and a half, with the rumour that they were shifting development to Switch titles. So it was only to finish Zelda and make a single Mario game and some shovelware gimmick games to attempt to push the motion controls. Time well spent!

£89 here but it looks like it doesn't come with the carrying case.

Gamestop hasn't put the master edition of Zelda up yet have they?

I'm sure the tech has added to the price of the Switch. But Nintendo always charge expensive markup on their accessories. The Wii remote all these years later is still €45.

In fairness, they've a bunch of games, staggered across the year, which is better than with the Wii U, where there was a burst of games, then a relative drought. This way they're trickling the releases out, rather than all at launch then nothing...

Far too pricey a console for what they're offering out the gate. Cheapest I can find is about €333.50 online, but Zelda is going for nearly €70 so that barely offsets the price.

Arms looks like a terrible tech-demo they're charging money for. Given Nintendo's history, this will either sell incredibly well (and judging by their artificial limitation of stock, they'll use the 'sold out' excuse to fabricate hype, as they're the kings of undersupply) and then fade over time given the total lack of support, like the Wii, or it'll sell poorly out the gate and over time will gain some form of support, only to die out and be a massive waste of time for those who bought the console as nothing will release on it, like the WiiU/3DS.

The online subscription is crap too, NES and SNES games? For a fixed monthly fee? Nonsense. No new Metroid title? Ridiculous.

I honestly think the best thing they could have done is release it as a €200-250 pricepoint, reduce games down to €45 a pop, and have a bunch of games at release to choose from. No online subs, redesign and refine their online storefront, and emphasise on constant reductions to their digital games over time, something they'd failed to do prior to this. I can't see myself, or a lot of people I know, buying it out the gate. Other consoles have larger libraries from first to third parties and the Switch is starting out limping. They needed to come out swinging but they're doing the classic Nintendo thing of half-assing it, assuming their past failures won't effect them now.

Splatoon is just awesome. Havn't played the original in a while, this is making me want to pick it up again.

Looking at the magnified version on the side of the box, looks like it's the game, the master sword statue (which looks too plasticy for my liking) and the soundtrack CD.

Yeah, I'd gladly lose the statue for the carrying case - something I'd actually use.
