What do you mean they added a "racial twist"?

By reporting that witnesses were saying the group was 90% black? If that's "adding a racial twist" then so did The Irish Times as they reported the following:

Yup, I think it originated in the Independent or Herald - and there was a whiff of dogwhistle racism off the non-story long before the Liberal added their own provocative headline. Funny how nobody from the 'respectable' papers has accused them of plagiarising this one...

By reporting that witnesses were saying the group was 90% black? If that's "adding a racial twist" then so did The Irish Times as they reported the following:

The liberal reported that the story was being silenced because of political correctness due to the colour of the perpetrators. In reality the story wasn't reported widely because very little happened. In making the story about the colour of the offenders and the resulting "politcal correctness", they added a racial twist.

You know its top quality when they actually write
Reminiscent of a scene from Baghdad

They actually wrote that. Seriously. They seriously wrote that about Henry Street.

Unfortunately for them, the hyperbole looked pretty silly when the Gardaí confirmed it was only a minor incident with no injuries or damage to shops.

Hope he gets sued to high heaven. From those fake iPhone competitions to theft of others work, to pretending that as a sole trader he has a staff of people to fill an imaginary newsroom, it's a crocked site.

Saw a tweet last night about how if TheLiberal does get brought into court, Leo will have to testify as all his different members of staff in an assortment of wigs and moustaches.

Hahaha just read that the bould Leo "is also being sued in the High Court by a man whose picture was incorrectly used in a story about the IRA murder of another person with the same name."

    www.thetimes.co.uk/article/website-owner-hits-out-at-keyboard-cowards-k5555wg77

I hope he doesn't think that taking the website offline is enough to make all these court cases go away. Mind you he's probably halfway to Belize now.

If a picture could sum it all up it would be this one.

    Leo Sherlock and the Liberal…

Quite a few gems on that tumblr. Credit to Jason a.k.a. Mick Flavin.

See Leo, that's how you credit people for work that they've done.

Domain renewal up on the 28th I see.

Sadly, Leo (unlike his stories) is real

According to the IT he lives near Ardee
The Liberal.ie is being sued by the court agency CCC Nuacht over the unauthorised use of its copyrighted material. Proceedings are being brought in the Ardee District Court which is the nearest court to where Mr Sherlock lives in Co Louth.

The LockSher "group" website is a joy to behold... its kind of written in English, but not quite.
We have a large portfolio of websites that are a key cornership of our company. Individually, they are quite unique and have much value, but collectively they are very valuable assets and have a massive stealth of potential revenue.

    A1status.

    The Locksher Group

Holy F**k this guy is some operator.

Looking through the 'recent work' link on A1status, work has been done for:

luxuryproperties.ie (100% owned by Leo Sherlock)
Ivan Silverman Securities Ltd (100% owned by Leo Sherlock)
Britannic Short-term Car Hire (same Belfast address as a1status)
    Cora sherlock's blog site
Cheapproperties.ie (100% owned by Leo Sherlock)
    The sherlock soundbite (blog)
standoutmodels.com (domain registered by Leo Sherlock)

There are also a few other companies (two villas in France, a nightclub, a rental agency) but clicking on the linked URLs just takes you back to A1status homepage.

On Locksher group, on the 'portfolio page', there are just screenshots of the webpages of all the same companies.

    It's like a spider's web of shite.

EDIT: There does seem to be one legitimate business on the a1status too, a company called Conroy Shop Developments.

This is a discussion of TheLiberal.ie website, can you please refrain from digging up private details of Leo, it's bordering on doxxing which is not allowed on boards.

Ah fair enough. I thought you meant that them referencing that witnesses had said that the majority of the youths were black was what added the racist angle to the article.

Website under maintenance message still showing. Must be a hell of a bit of maintenance the large number of staff are undertaking.

Meanwhile, in totally un-related news, there's a story in the Indo:

'The Liberal' website faces court battles after claims of plagiarism

They've changed the message though. It was just a 404 beforehand. Now it's a proper error page.

What annoys me most about the site is the unbelievably disingenuous name of it.  In fact it's not even disingenuous, it's a downright lie.  It's pretty shoddy that they felt they had to try to attract readers by naming the site as they did, rather than the more truthful rightwingconservativeprolifemouthpieceoftheionainstitute.ie.  Not as catchy I'll admit, but at least no-one could be in any doubt as to what their agenda really is.

    I know what you mean.
Sure I only ended up here looking for a length of timber to replace one in my floor!
