Karen's dress (with Des Cahill) was lovely. Is that the strictly dress?
    I never watched strictly.
The girls on the couch now, the dresses are horrible. Poor show by RTÉ

It's from the UK one 2015. A good few of the pros dresses look familiar.

Yup Karens dress is the strictly dress - stunning. You can see it on youtube if you look up Georgia May Foote American Smooth

Why don't you come back as a TV Presenter, Amanda?

Christ, Dr. Eva is an awful pain to listen to

Those dresses are appalling! I hope there's some context for them in whatever showdance they're doing (like they're kids from the 70's - they're exactly like home-made sundresses I used to have as a kid:o)....

Box office, not sure if for the right or wrong reasons.

And now a little pause in proceedings to tell ourselves how wonderful we all are.

I can't believe the girls aren't dancing tonight! What have they been doing for the last 2 hours?!

They really should stick a soap or something half-hour long in the middle, and then come back with the results bit.

I predict that they'll lose audiences bigtime if they keep this format up.

    Yes I agree!

I see AJ (from UK strictly)'s brother is one of the pros. They look very similar!

For a first night, the production is pretty excellent. They must have just got the people that ran the English one to take charge did they?

Aside from Byram.. .I mean I thought Nicky would have been wooden, but he has been brilliant.. even the banter is good. But Byram is just sooooooo fake. A "cuppa" indeed.

Really frustrating that Amanda got that job.
She doesn't live in ireland so RTE will pay for her weekly flights, taxis and 5*hotel stays and she's rubbish. She's the least personable female presenter they could have picked :(
I didn't want to like Nicky Byrne but he's been great in my opinion.

Whose Mammy was that frozen staring at the camera beside Amanda?

Look....it'll never be strictly....and in fairness it has a tough act to follow given strictly is running for so long, is very well established and is so close so a lot of the DWTS audience are going to be strictly fans. So possible an unfair comparison

It's not as bad I thought it would be....they have good pros and after all, dancing is supposed to be the base of the show.

Hopefully they take on board some feedback and make the tweaks needed and it mightn't be half bad, but it'll never be strictly.
