£30 to get into the club, £75 for VIP which I'm assuming gets you a photo. They've got VIP booths and Party Booths for £650 and £1000 each for 10 people.

Not so bad really, Conor gets a night out and probably getting upwards of 70k.

I read he only makes like €3m a year from endorsements, whats the deal with that? Most other sports stars make as much from endorsements as they do from competing in their actual sport.

No chance people are paying 450 when you could pay 75 for club probably get a free drink and sectioned off seating for vip, I cant blame Conor taking the money making hay as they say would be cheaper to get a flight for 20 quid from Manchester and meet him in Dublin for free somewhere.

450 for a photo? Just hang outside sbg for gods sake - It's in manchester tho so I'm fine with it!

Will people really pay money to get a photo and a chat with Conor. I'd be skeptical. If i seen conor in the street i'd probably say ah look there's conor mcgregor. I wouldn't even ask for a photo. But i'm in my late 30's maybe young people might be interested in that sort of thing.

There's a place in Dublin doing something similar with Frankie Edgar soon enough so there must be some sort of demand for this type of thing.

Frankie Edgar was never going to bring in money.

That's a common thing in the US...even the Ring Girls in the UFC do them!

I didn't think he'd go in for this anymore after seeing the crap he walked into with the wright venue version of same in Dublin a while back.

anyway, with horse racing ads and Budweiser and reebok, I would imagine he can get plenty. He shouldn't be doing that shyte, it comes off a bit hungry and
has a smack of lunacy about it.

I was having my brekie this morning and watched the alvarez fight again, from walkout to knockout, amazing, made my year, what a phenomenal athlete and personality he is. I accept he can be polarising but most interesting athletes are.

He should use that line to taunt his next opponent. I can hear em now!!

tbh, he should be doing anything he wants to do, not caring at all what anyone else thinks about how it comes off.

Yep - why should he care about what others think - not matter what he does there will always be detractors and trying to please everyone is a silly starting position in the first instance.

Passed Mcgregor and Charlie Ward in town yesterday evening and said I was a fan and if they'd mind a photo, ward put his hand out to halt my approach and mcgregor refused. Was nobody else around so not like he was mobbed.... Was surprised at how dismissive he was to be honest. Came across very arrogant and rude!

I saw him on the street before Christmas, he was with Danis and a few others. He was probably shopping or out for food. My sense of decency and manners prevented me from stopping him in the street for a photo.

He's a complete stranger. He owes me nothing.

Now, had I seen him in the MGM when I was at UFC 194 I would have stopped him. He's at work then. Different story. But I would never stop someone on the street like that. They get to be people too.

Erm he probably gets asked about fifty million times a day, maybe he had somewhere important he needed to be or just wasn't in the mood, he is human after all.

"A bloke almost got in a fight with me on a night out because I didn't want to have a selfie with his girlfriend. One of the main reasons is a) I just want a quiet night and don't want to be doing the pose but b) I go into a quiet dark wine bar and I don't want to be like, hey I'm turning this quiet wine bar into my own personal movie premiere." -Dara O'Briain.

He is allowed to have off days. From what I see he is very accommodating with fans, the selfies posted online by fans with him must be running at 10,000+ at this stage.

I would hate to have the kind of fame he has. Must be head wrecking at times to be recognised everywhere, your own privacy in public just goes completely out the window and if people arent approaching you they are taking photos of you as you eat your dinner.

Ive always thought that if you want fame the best kind is to be a best selling author. Mainly because millions of people enjoy your work but you can get to hide behind an anonymous pen name and you never actually get recognised by fans in public. Authors have even described striking up conversations with people who are reading their book in public, without the person ever knowing they are raving on about the person they are speaking to. It must be a very fun kind of fame, much more preferable than having cameras stuck in your face all the time as if you're a performing monkey

Really don't think asking someone who is now a global superstar on a quiet street for a photo shows a lack of decency..... That's just silly. As for the manners, that's entirely subjective and depending on how you approach.I can assure you that I was extremely courteous. However, totally agree he owes a stranger nothing and I don't know what kind of day he had. Looked relaxed and in good spirits though and for this coupled with the fact that you see lots of pictures of him with people, I didn't think he'd mind. No big deal, still a big fan....

Charlie Ward appears to be hired muscle now too, wont get another fight in the UFC after that shambles in Belfast, just of them things I'd say you're the first person ive heard be refused a photo in them circumstances.

I can't understand stopping someone in the street like that. I'd never do it. I respect people's privacy.

Like I said, if it was fight week, it's fair game. But no other time. Different strokes.

if I see someone famous on the street I usually just say hello I would never ask for a photo unless offered. They just can't do a photo with everyone and you have to understand it gets tiring and they just might be in a bad mood.

From what I see of mcgregor though he is great with his fans.

I don't think you can call someone arrogant and rude when they're just minding their own business walking down the street.

You may have wanted a pic but maybe he didn't. You have to respect that.

He should have tried that out during his fight in Belfast.

Look I've been a massive mcgregor fan since before his ufc call, I think his confidence and belief are a breath of fresh air and I think it sets a great example for all. I'm not bashing him, nor do I feel entitled to anything from a stranger, regardless of their fame or fortune. But Its perfectly reasonable to say someone came across as dismissive and arrogant based on a personal interaction. It's ridiculous to try argue otherwise....... Simply sharing my experience. He's obviously great with fans based on what you see on social media

The guy was probably just trying to relax. His not the most mannered/educated person either so i would not be shocked by this behaviour either. Move on.

What does his level of education have to do with anything? Or how "mannered" he is for that? As if either one even matters anyway. There is a massive difference between having manners and being a decent human being. Manners don't make you a nice person.

I have NEVER heard previously of him not complying with a request for a picture. Not once. Is that anything to do with his education? Or is there some other arbitrary reason?

There was no thought put into your post at all.
