Can't wait for it. I was a little disappointed with The Force Awakens and have only watched it once. I should really go back and watch it again

The Force Awakens was pure dross: unoriginal script, corny dialogue, wooden acting.

It was basically "let's make a crap film, but in a cunning plan let's bring back Harrison Ford & Carrie Fisher, and watch as fans and critics jizz themselves over it".

Won't go near the Star Wars franchise again, at least not in a deliberate way.

Have any of you lads gone through an airport with a razor like this in hand luggage? I should be able to just take the blade out and then it should be fine, right? I'm going to be back home for a bit too long not to shave but I really don't want to have it taken off me and I've heard the security at one of the airports I'm going through (Manchester) are generally massive ****

Take the blade out, have the razor im a pocket of the bag that can be accessed immediately and you will have no issues

I've actually gone through Manchester airport with my very similar razor in my hand luggage with the blade taken out no problem.

That goes beyond a rugby ban for me. Should be criminally charged.

I usually roll my eyes at the "if he did it in the street..." argument but I think you're probably right in this case. The ref has zero expectation of being involved in the physical side of the game, there's no implied consent when taking to the field that she's happy to be tackled etc. I'm really surprised the ban is only three years too.

Edit, read on PR that his club have ditched him, he'll never play for them again at least.

As far as I understood someone else's post on it, the ban was actually the maximum allowed under Italian rules, but he needs to apply to have his membership restored. So it is in effect an indefinite ban. His club have also kicked him out.

Foggy Dew is grand. For something with a little more aesthetics, you could try The Bank.

A hundred pubs within 2 minutes of you though.

If you still think the world is flat you're in the minority. Not so in the 1600s.

Actually yes so. By the 14th century pretty much every scholar was in agreement that the world was round.

Now excuse me while I leave this thread, only to return again when I get desperately bored.

I'm thinking of getting a guy to install a satellite dish along with some kind of a digibox (which connects to your internet) and enables you to get every tv channel there is. The guy who does it told me I'd even be able to watch box office (pay per view) stuff without paying extra.
€350 to install it which includes 1st years subscription, then €100 per year thereafter. Any servicing required in the future also included in those prices.
Friend of a friend got it done a month ago and he swears by it.
I'll be able to unsubscribe from Virgin for the tv part of my deal with them, and just maintain broadband only. (Saving €20 a month)

Anyone any experience with this stuff?

One of my neighbours has one and he swears by it too. I watched the last McGregor fight over there with him and it was perfect quality.

Buy an android box with kodi installed. Cost about 45/50 euro. No dish required.
Hook it up to internet. You can do that yourself. No installation costs. No monthly fee. Job done.

What you watch on that box is up to you.

I use Kodi and it can be an absolute pain in the ass at times re: dropping streams. I'm not sure if the issue is with Kodi itself (less likely) or it's the stream provider (more likely).

Yeah, I've started using Mobdro for some of the rugby games. Have Sky and BT subscriptions but I'm in the parents place while the new house is getting finished so don't have access to them. The quality of the streams are generally crap. They freeze, skip and crash completely at times. Yeah great those things are free, but if you can't enjoy a match fully then what's the point. I can't wait to get uninterrupted and secure broadcasts again.

I upgrade to the newest version of kodi and install the add ons I need. Its a bit of work to find the best streams but working fantastic at the moment. Even with the crap broadband speeds we get here in the sticks.

I've had an android box for about a year now, and found it ok-ish for movies, but absolutely muck for sport streams*. Hence my move to the satellite version.
Have only heard 4/5 reports in total but every one of them has been emphatically positive, so think I'll take the plunge!

*Edit: I'm convinced I haven't been utilising it completely to its potential. I'm reasonably tech-savvy but despite downloading updates etc, I've never felt like I've fully known what I'm supposed to be doing while operating the android box.
I'd give it zero stars for user-friendliness.
