If Mike Cernovich represents typical alt right, then Louise Mensch is an average SJW

Everybody can play the game of making judgments based on extremes

And there it is, the alt right is not about what it stands for, it is what it is against.

It's a thread about the alt right, I didn't think an analysis of SJW's was required! They've been around for decades, long before the Internet age.

SJW's are the arch-nemesis of this alt-right though. The Joker to their Batman you might say. Only thing is that they are ultimately a phantom opponent, they hold very little real sway in policy-making and their impact has been exaggerated to an insane degree.

Maybe I'm being unfair, but I imagine the vast majority of alt-right internet crusaders as being hormonal, male teenagers vicariously joining the pack in a way that has little consequence for them. In other words, spotty twats who need a kick up the arse.

-Let me get this straight - Louise Mensch, a former Conservative MP, who had opinion columns for Murdoch's Sun & The Times, who condemned anyone celebrating Thatcher's death as "idiots" and "pygmies", and endorsed Evan McMullin ahead of Hillary Clinton - is some stereotypical social justice warrior.

Moriarty, I've had similar thoughts about the alt-right. After all, its habitat on the Internet are infamous boards like 4chan & 8chan, who used to be (and probably still are) so self-deprecating about their social ineptitude and also their taste in (often animated) porn. Some of them fall for the claims of pick-up artists and come out of their "course" believing they're at the vanguard of the fight for western civilisation.

@Amazingfun, how many times do you have to be told to stop posting videos without a few lines describing what the main points are. If warnings and deletions don't work well...

You've watched it, you tell us what you find informative in it. Many people don't have the time or bandwidth to watch videos.

Correct, mission of alt rights is to bring balance back to this world ruined by SJWs
Since elites incorporated SJWs, alt rights become the main anti-establishment opposition, which wasn’t afraid to challenge mess created by SJW together with political establishment, such as uncontrolled immigration, replacing equality by privileges for minorities, failed attempts to impose political correctness, etc.
Because Newton's third law requires every force be accompanied by counterforce, alt rights just become such counterforce. Like car requires engine and breaks, this world needs an opposition to out of touch with reality SJWs

@Amazingfun, tell us what they are talking about then or give a transcript or an article summarising it.

It's a discussion site, not one somebody comes to watch videos. The Jezebel article was a text piece which I gave a point of view on. If you can't see the difference I'm sorry, but I can't help you on that.

So nobody is stopping you from posting the video as long as you provide a few lines on what is in it.

You keep deleting the post with no reason stated as to why.

I added text, I told you what it was, I listed where each of the three is from, and that all are actual members of the Alt-Right, considered leaders of it.

I am guessing you just don't want it posted at all ;)

I'm after giving you reasons in the last 2 posts.

    I give up!

This is a direct quote on from another mod on posting vids:
I forgot to mention that a summary of the video is fine as well.

Again: I have told you who is in this video.

    1. Richard Spencer of NPI fame and a leader of the Alt Right
    2. Andrew Anglin, founder/editor of The Daily Stormer
    3. Mike Enoch of The Right Stuff

This is a talk/chat on various issues within the Alt Right from three men very involved in it.

I really don't know what more I can say, it's a talk between AltRight members and for those interested, a chance to hear them talking themselves, instead of 2nd hand sources about them.

I also said there are audio only sources around as well, and if people want "articles" on these fellows, all three have websites. I will list them if you want.

Honestly, it's an informal CHAT. They talk about Trump, about Spencer's recent rise in profile due to the NPI bruhaha over the "roman salutes" and the protests against him during his talk in Texas.

They wander all over, touching on various topics pertaining to the ALT Right, its future aims, its past, etc.

You're certainly lucky about which side of the fence you're arguing from!

Interesting segment in that show regarding abortion, given the speculation that Roe v Wade will be overturned.

Spencer actually speaks in favour of abortion, which surprised me. I'd assumed the default position would be the opposite of what feminists want. But he spoke about how some cases can be really tragic, and also how the non-white population would increase at an even faster rate than it already is.

The point isn't about making sure everyone gets an apple. The point is that if you pay lip-service to equality in a way that doesn't actually achieve anything useful, it shouldn't be a surprise when it turns out the problems haven't been solved.

And it's not everyone getting an apple that bothers me, what bothers me is that it's an absolute farcical portrayal of "fairness".

Responding to things with emotion rather than logic. One example is the migrant crisis and those "refugees welcome" quacks - Sweden and Germany going on solo runs, people here demonised for saying you need to stop the boats and process them offshore as racists (having also said the influx would crack the system). And now we see that the EU has started giving lip service to those policies a year or two too late.

Had the EU just implemented the policies recommended, thousands of lives would've been saved from crossing the Mediterranean and we wouldn't have had such enormous upheaval.

Insult, insult, insult, threat of violence, hilarious lack-of-irony moaning about "internet crusaders"...
And you're claiming to be an SJW good guy?

A piece of your soul didn't die when you saw the Oxford University ze/he/she rubbish? Or the witch-hunt of Matt Taylor? How about the grim realisation that Bahar Mustafa chief troll/first world problems/diversity officer/racist of Goldsmiths University is an actual person and not a satirical character? Bahar of course picking up the torch dropped by transracial pioneers like Rachel Dolezal. Or the people like Cora Gales/Trigglypuff who spend their lives harrassing equally sad people like Milo Yiannopoulos and in the process humiliate themselves.

Grammar correction is the great freedom struggle of their generation.

Aren't you just as bad to be making such a fuss about them ?

Personally I see nothing wrong with the ze stuff , were you equally offended by Mz back in the day ?

And your man wearing that t-shirt was just bizarre , even allowing for the whole scientists are nerdy profile , if he didn't see it one of his colleagues or PR people should have and pulled him aside . What did they think was going happen ?

Yes, an impractical "fairness" too given the "fair" result requires more resources (boxes) than are available in the initial scenario.

I'm not making a fuss - I'm testifying as to how these people are ruining the world by killing hope, human kindness and rational and reasonable exchanges of views.
Personally I see nothing wrong with the ze stuff , were you equally offended by Mz back in the day ?

You don't see the 1984 style newspeak tones? Trying to control thinking by controlling language? People react negatively to anyone trying to control their language for political purposes because they know that its rooted in an attempt to control them.
And your man wearing that t-shirt was just bizarre , even allowing for the whole scientists are nerdy profile , if he didn't see it one of his colleagues or PR people should have and pulled him aside . What did they think was going happen ?

You mean the female colleague who made it for him should have pulled him aside? That colleague? The guy drew his references for what was acceptable from himself, his colleagues and his experiences. The guy just landed a probe on a comet travelling at near unimaginable speeds. He could have shown up wearing a bin bag and still have been acclaimed as a king.

The SJW reaction was the same sort of bitter jealous nomark bullying that was evidenced by the joyless people who tormented the Sean O’ Brien for daring to have fun and dance. I guess that fat guy should have known though right? It was his fault he was bullied because he ought to have known the reaction to him dancing was for people to point and laugh. One of his colleagues should have pulled him aside. What did he think was going to happen?

If a woman had wore a shirt her friend made her which had pictures of guys on it, and got horrendous abuse for it, would you just say "well she shouldn't have worn it"?

I don't think he should've wore the shirt, but that's just because I find them tacky and strange - not because I think doing so abuses women. He didn't deserve people screaming at him like lunatics.

I really cannot see why the tshirt would be remarkable at all, even less so in light of his reason for making a television appearance. Stylised scantily clad women..so?!

With regards to the 'Ze' stuff. I agree that it's controlling, but it's also time wasting. Is this really the most productive use of time and energy for feminists?
