nope - it just stopped working. I rebooted and re-inserted the SIM a load of times and also did a factory reset. I just ordered another new Moto G4 from Amazon (£152.73) which will be here on Friday so I have a work phone while the old one is at Motorola getting repaired.

    Why not Argos for €180?

    1. I'd have to drive and to an Argos and closest one is a 60km+ round trip!
    2. AWS price in Euro is the same and it will arrive at my door on Friday morning.

I was thinking of getting a Moto G4. How serious is this SIM problem? Is it common enough to start looking at other phones instead?

Ok, i am going to order thru argos but thought that the one in Argos was inferior when you where ordering thru Amazon.

I see the black G4 Plus has dropped to £169 / €200 including VAT change on Amazon.

Will have to pull the trigger at that price!

Some sort of magic goes on in my phone then as it works fine for me.

I have checked for three different phones at Argos Galway, all out of stock, any bargain or price cut, usually out of stock.

Sorry you are right. I meant it has no magnetometer/Compass. VR should work fine.

For £40 more, you* can get the 32GB dual sim on motomaker on the Motorola.co.uk site.

    * If you are a UK resident with a UK registered credit card or have a friend there.

Hi have the G4 from Argos for the last few months and love it. One question, what symbol should I see if I am getting 4g data I have only ever seen the H symbol. Open signal suggests I have never got 4g sigmal. I have a 4g aim from meteor. Thanks

Mine currently says 4g. I've seen the H as well, so I assume that's 3g?

It will say 4G if you are on 4G and I had that same issue but was fixed by Vodafone to allow me to use 4G.

Hey guys. I have the Moto G2 standard model, I've had it for 2 years now and I do like it.

I'm considering going for a new G4 or G4 plus.

Would anyone who has used G2 and upgraded to G4/plus recommend the switch? what are your thoughts?

I went from a G2 to a G4 and find the G4 is much faster. No complaints from me anyway.

Cool, Any reason why you went for the G4 rather then the G4 plus?

No real reason to be honest. I got the G4 on Amazon for £145 which I thought was a great price back in August.

    Hi guys.

Attempted to order the 64GB G4 yesterday using parcel motel and my order was eventually canceled. Is Parcel Motel the issue or would it be my Irish credit card that's tied to my paypal? Has anyone had any luck using Addres Pal?

    Thanks.

I'd say you should avoid G4 Play at least... The only improvement you'll find on that case would be the number of cores.
What you'll notice out of the box, when going for G4/G4+ would be that you'll have an official updated version of android and the 2GB of ram make a real difference (and the number of cores, also!). It's a good phone for the price, i'd go for it if you have the chance.

And Well, G4 and G4plus, that's a matter of what's your budget and features that you require.

As far as I know, I've seen on forums that Parcel Motel orders thru MOTO UK are being cancelled. So last week I've ordered via Address Pal, at the moment order is ok, it went through... I'm still waiting for the phone. I'd say you give it a go via AP ;)

Thanks, will do, did you pay with an Irish credit card?

Nope. Shouldn't be a problem. Let me check if I can find that article/website stating the ban for ParcelMotel
