"I can't talk for legal reasons Joe."

"I left a couple of years ago Joe."

She's hardly the best interviewee. I wonder how she was enticed onto LL.

Becky the RTE researcher now wants AHAR to contact them ASAP, don't you know who Joe is FFS?

And Joe said there's no response from them, they put a response on their Facebuke page, to which the researcher replied, so they're well aware of their response

Having taxis for each person would work out cheaper.

When the subsidy goes over €100 per passenger in a day the service should be scrapped and replaced with a minibus.

WTF is that argument, few people use the service, but the caller blames that on lack of investment? They either want to use the service or not.

The AHAR segment ended very quickly. I wonder who called in to shut them up.

If they paid me €550 per journey, I'd walk it every day.

"Oh, I would walk five hundred quid and I would walk five hundred more
Just to be the knackered eejit who finally turned up at your door."

A non-story about CIE incompetence and not about the railway. Joe's coveragee of the subject will be a non-event unless they can find a suicide angle.

AHARs post is getting lots of likes, lovehearts(?) etc, so maybe he sees he's on the wrong side of this fight.

Fair play to AHAR, they must be regular listeners to the show to know that you never, ever, go on Liveline in cases like this.

I'd stay at home on €2750 a week for my 5 days :pac:

It means it's costing €143k per passenger a year, that's a ministerial salary per passenger, insane.

I'm a snowflake libtard SJW, or something. (Might have missed out something that's cool to be called these days. )

Hardly a sustained attack on rural Ireland as the line only serves a tiny proportion of the population. Irish Rail though are a disgrace as a company - quite out of kilter with modern day needs and their customers. Seem to exist mostly these days to look after their well paid staff.
