Yeah, some idiots get triggered over a vote, some idiots are triggered over handclapping, and some idiots can't handle seeing a brawl in the street without losing their marbles.

If anyone is that sensitive, I suggest they lock themselves indoors, go to bed, and put some tampons up to their ears.

Some idiots get triggered over perceived racism, some idiots get triggered by harmless mildly sexist remarks and some idiots can't handle seeing their candidate lose an election.

If anyone is that sensitive, I suggest they lock themselves indoors, go to bed, and put some tampons up to their ears.

Academically educated at third level. There's more than one way to receive or attain an education.

Pray tell what cultural marxism institution college you recieved your "education" because the scant 40 weeks I had to give in college during my apprenticeship quite frankly disgusted me. I see nothing but people coming out of these institutions thicker and more narrowminded than when they went in.

Of course not. Tell me why their religious background would cloud their judgement here? Does their belief in Jesus make them less qualified to look into the facts? They unearthed lots of them to support what they say, and all you can refute this with is the fact that they're Catholic? Their religiojn has nothing to do with it.

How on earth could he have been doing an impression of a man with a frozen arm, by flapping how arms in the air? If he'd stood there holding one wrist in a clawed. curled up manner, he would have been doing an impression. What he did, looked nothing like the reporter's disability.
And he did it on other occasions, so it's clearly his own mannerism, something he does wen he gets animated while 'dissing' an opponent. I think you really badly want to believe he was mocking someone.

I'd be first in line to criticise if he did this. But I don't lie to myself to keep intact a picture of someone's character that I don't want to have to revise.
You're focussing on the wrong part, it's the 'for Trump' bit that removes their objectivity. It could be 'Jewish Baby Giraffes for Trump' and I'd have the same question marks.

Anyway, we'll agree to disagree on the second part because there's no real way we can resolve it and I was just making a throwaway comment. I have my opinion and you have yours. There's plenty of other facts that show he's a terrible person but I'm not arsed.

Hopefully he does a decent job of being president.

This thread has been great entertainment, but I think it's time to bow out. The saturation of lies against the next US President and the blame game, anti-male, anti-white sentiment by those who don't like the outcome is both hilarious but ultimately tiresome and lazy.

Enjoy the next 4 years, they both be as bad as you think it will. Godspeed.

HAH! If his talk about ****ing with the Federal Reserve is real, he'll do well to last the next four months. The last one who tried lasted longer, but still kinda lost the head in the end :o

Absolutely. Ordinary Americans got tired of being told what to think and do by arrogant East/West coast liberals. The result: 4 years of Trump!

    Very much so, yes.

Well then it's funny how the 'educated' people were completely, utterly, astronomically btfo out in this election :D

I watched Bill Maher say before the election this time is different when speaking to 'millennials' (another stupid term as if all the people in that bracket think the same) and he was talking about fascism and just being hysterical about it. Either he is as thick as a plank or pretending to be dumb, the American system was written by the Founding Fathers to counteract potential dictators.

That is why term limits exist, you have a congress and a senate, you can't just do whatever the hell you like and eventually you either get voted out of office or you leave if you serve two terms. If he doesn't understand this, why the hell is on TV talking about politics?

Even if Trump was a dictator and wanted to stay for 10 or 20 years as President, it is impossible for him to do so, he would not be able to do it. The Constitution was written by very smart men who knew something about history from Monarchies in Europe and political ideologies. It was written to be the complete opposite.

But they're not. They have not attained a very ordinary standard of education. You seem far too preoccupied with the notion of education as being somehow synonymous with intelligence. It is not.
Frankly, I'd say that it's exactly this kind of snobbery (exemplified by the stance that anyone who doesn't have a college degree is "uneducated") that cost the liberals this election.
    But I'm not canvassing here.

As I said on another thread, I wouldn't openly call someone 'uneducated' in a campaign, it's counterproductive.

This is a discussion of the demographics, it isn't an election campaign.

The only saving grace in life it that most of those thugs probably possess trainers that they are wearing as the most valuable possession that they own, shall be dead before they are 40 , and will never amount to much.

I hope their skulls meet a pavement real soon. Can not even fight the man one on one. Credit to him ,it took a lot to put him down. Chances of either of these animals attacking another if they were on their own? Zero. Stupid woman cheering them on is probably on food stamps. Surprised that she could even spell "Trump"

Since its a black on white hate crime? Not a chance in hell.

People actually believe there is some grand conspiracy against white men in American politics. Wow.

Actually that wasn't in the original constitution. It was in an amendment ratified in 1951.

    FD Roosevelt was elected 4 (1932, 36, 40, 44) times as president.

You should put some drone music on a loop in your basement/ dungeon of national pride.

Power is such an interesting thing. So many people thought Trump was despicable and a lunatic when he was running.

Now he is in power all that behaviour is okay by some people on here, and some people on here are beginning to sound like Trump. Lots of 'Special snowflake's being thrown around,

    All hail our new dictator.

Hurrah! I learned something today! Always thought that had been in from the start (and Roosevelt was a two termer).

Another term that should be done away with. And what they really mean is brainwashed people in the education system growing up only learning about one point of view. The white man is the devil, white privilege, the ideology of Marxist/far left thinking and a something for nothing culture.

Someone comes along with a different view and they get the notepad out of arguments which usually only includes the words racism, fascism or sexist.

I said this in another thread.

The people who end up in those liberal arts non STEM courses (maybe economics aside) tend to be midwits in that they're smart enough to be there and understand the theory, but not smart enough to see that they're being brainwashed and think around the theory.

It's not dumb or very smart people who are the useful idiots, its the average to reasonably intelligent people who are. The kind of people which think a degree = education per sae.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,186 ✭✭✭oik

    Sure it does.

I'm not saying they're not smart, necessarily; I'm saying they aren't educated.

    Uneducated white women love Trump.

As someone who would be considered by pollsters to be highly educated, I can assure you that it has absolutely nothing to do with anything I've learned from the institutions I've attended. I would say about 95% of the things I know that most people don't I did not learn from university.

The irony. Complains about people saying things about the uneducated while saying educated people are just brainwashed.

Whatever lets you fuel anti intellectualism I suppose.

I spent yesterday trying to keep an open mind about Trump. I had a few discussions about it, thought about it.

And I just cannot get past the fact that a deeply unstable, egotistical individual, with no respect for women and a gnat-sized attention span won the election. This election was not about politics, it became a popularity contest. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face.

As an aside, I know that you are quite an advocate for free markets and libertarian economics. However, it appears the tide is going out in relation to these concepts in the West. What are your thoughts on this matter?

Are free markets and globalisation now permanently suspended or will things just muddle on?

You don't switch globalisation and free markets on and off like a switch. They will always be there. It's a sliding scale. There will just be a little less rather than a little more by the looks of things.
I think they have being taken too far and that's caused massive problems, however I think too little will also cause problems. The right balance gives great benefits.

P.S. I know you weren't asking me, but no one ever does.

Under special circumstances. The idea was based on Washington only serving two terms. Same with Thomas Jefferson.

That's a tad nasty about the leader of a country which has been very friendly to Ireland. Of course it was about politics as well as personalities.
