What it will mean for Ireland,
return of of thousands of Irish to Ireland who are illegal in the US (50000 - 60000)
reduced investment in Ireland by US companies
    J1 visa program abolished
    awkward St Paddy's day ahead

anything good come out it for us?

Return of Illegal Irish: Better than having 50,000-60,000 non EU people in. No excuse for jobs going to them then - Country is picking up

Reduced investment: US groups sell around they world, they need a base somewhere in Europe

    J1 Visa - Meh

St Patrick's Day ahead - Yep, I hope Trump goes Vince McMahon on Enda. Anyway, we , the tax payers are sick of that jolly up. Costs too much

Yes there is denying. I'm denying it. It doesn't matter anymore anyway, people have rejected your narrative in swathes. The BS didn't fly buddy.

A bunch of white people voted for a white male Republican and this is supposed to be surprising? I'm surrounded by white conservative women and knew they would vote for Trump over Hillary, this is not surprising at all.

what the hell does that say about women?

That trying to put them into a simplistic box of "she's a woman, you're a woman, vote for her policies even if you don't like them!" didn't pay off...

Several things - e.g. they're not stupid, they listen to the news and debates, they know there's more to politics than gender, and they wouldn't trust Mrs. C. as far as they'd throw her.

It may have been treated like a reality TV show by the Duck but I find it hard to believe that people who voted for all the radical bizarre mad ideas he came up with will vote for him again next time when he can't possibly deliver 10% of it. Especially if the Democrats come up with a candidate that isn't as universally despised as Hillary.

What is truly scary is the Duck has let the genie out of the bottle, a candidate can come from nowhere, with zero political experience and literally say whatever he wants to get elected (cf the Brexit campaign) and he can succeed.

In an age where there has never been more access to information, I think people have never been so stupid.

of course, nobody cares about "facts" , nobody cares about what you did win the past ( FFS, look at the resurgence of FF here ).

truth no longer matter , reality TV rules ( which of course is nothing like reality )
In an age where there has never been more access to information, I think people have never been so stupid

+100, it may be we are in a changeover from a considered political discourse , to TV " reality" politics where "what you see" matter way more then " what you do "

Trump will disappoint his support base, just like all politicians are in the current scene will ( because they cant do the impossible ) . The interesting thing will be to see where his support base morphs to over the next 4 years, I suspect his base will change dramatically as he simply cant meet the aspirations of his current base ( less educated white males and whites in general )

The amount of butt-hurt and tantrums from dejected Clinton supporters/Trump haters is hilarious this morning to be honest. Precious SJW's and snowflakes who can't deal with the reality that the world is very different beyond the confines of their self-validating safe spaces online :D

The world won't end (in fact it's got a better chance of that now that we won't have Clinton pushing Putin into a corner), the more "extreme" soundbites and electioneering promises will be softened and dropped to win support from Congress and the Senate and Trump will be more like Regan in the end than the Antichrist that the above groups are making him out to be... and Regan ended up as one of the more popular presidents remember and one who also reached out to Russia and settled tensions there.

That they know Clinton is evil.

It's not like Woman don't laugh about cock in closed rooms occasionally.

I forget, I said it last week,

'I can do whatever I want, grab men by the dick if I want' Hwar har har

    Scumbag

Didn't a 12-13 year old accuse him of rape?

So what if he is racist or homophobe or misogynist?

The Courts in the US will put a stop to any discriminating plans, as will the two Houses.

The people want a better economy and we in Europe want to ensure that his foreign policy does not adversely affect us.

9/10 the ordinary American will not give a damn about his homophobic , racist etc views if they have a few more bucks in their pocket. They are more concerned about the bread and butter issues

Yes , its a rather amazing situation, its hard to extract what this means in terms of women voters

    (a) The glass ceiling is irrelevant ?
    (b) Locker room talk has little effect on the vast majority of women ( do they secretly expect men to be like that ) ?
    (c) A women president is not necessarily a womens friend?

    hard to know

Or you know, none of the above, but rather that conservative men and women would rather have a misogynistic buffoon as president then anyone else.

Who promptly dropped the case. Just accusing someone of something doesn't mean they did it (see the Guildford Four)

A woman brought a case against him for raping her back in the '90s sometime, when she was thirteen years old. That was suddenly dropped a couple of days ago when it emerged that none of it was remotely true and she had fabricated the whole thing in order to damage Trump politically.

They did, whether or not there's actually any truth to the matter is up to the courts to decide (I honestly don't know whether he's in court over it or not). Reading Clinton's emails on wikileaks (she was going to run a smear campaign against Obama being a coke addict), I wouldn't be too surprised to think that she nudged them into it.
