There is a trrs to 3 phono lead with the OS mini that I got. You can get a 3 phono to scart adapter that should work OK. It probably won't allow scart control of the TV but the sound and picture.

Trrs is a 3.5mm jack plug like the one on most headphones.

Scart control is where your TV switches over to the scart input as soon as the box is turned on. It makes no difference really, all you do is manually select the scart input on the tv and then turn on the box.

Ten still available according to this:-

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00K8CMFLM/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=1JIP3FM2EAJI5&coliid=I3EG3GIV45KT8C

I assume you can configure it to your own requirements.

Feck it anyway. Just started recording Grand Prix on Sky F1 and everything greyed out. It was setup with just a once off recording. Tuner A was blank and Tuner B was being used for recording.

This is really starting to bug me

    Any ideas?

Ok, Home and away recorded fine today without greying out the other channels. I didn't do anything (I haven't had a chance to look into this issue)

How would this happen, one day it records fine without blacking out and the next it greys out the channels?

    Possible tuner going faulty?
    Loose cable from LNB?

home and away is encrypted on 28.2,but i still need to see his sat tuner settings as i have had this on vu solo2 and vu duo.signal and quality should be equal on both.

by removing lan cable is one way to see if its encrypted or google kingofsats 28.2.

That would depend on whether he recorded H&A on RTE or Channel 5, which is FTA and not encrypted.

    Hi,

Hope im posting this in the correct forum.

My mate has one of the below and im looking to order online. Two questions, if someone could help me :

    1. Will this work with the virgin media connection in bedroom?
    2. When i buy this will i need to buy an additional yearly subscription?

    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Libertview-v6-same-as-S-V6-Mini-Digital-Satellite-Receiver-S-V6-with-AV-HDMI-Support/32623082976.html?spm=2114.01010208.3.1.xOTFIo&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_2_10091_10090_10088_10089,searchweb201603_1&btsid=9f6e8d24-f646-41f7-a71c-613a9e8de10e

Im not great on the tech when it comes to all this, so just looking for something straight forward that i can just plug in and use in bedroom.

    Any help, greatly appreciated

    Thanks

Can anyone recommend an E2 box around the 100 euro mark? Looking for a cheap second box for when I'm relegated to the other room when the footy/children's stuff is on! No need for recording functionality.

    Edision os mini

    whats wrong with the zgemma
    edison would be similar spec

if buying a zgemma you have not done enough research on them, the amount of posts from many users having ,stuck on boot issues, tuner issues and wanting to use openvix on a not supported box,and forgot flashing issues with loads of usb sticks.

edison box are original receivers 2 year warranty and can run on openvix image.

Running openatv on my H2s at the moment.

I hear the Edison are safer and the warranty is a plus I suppose.

Can't get a few channels to work and if I do a manual scan of the frequency it says no channels are found so not sure if it's the box or what. Satellite and LNB are less than 6 months old..

    Hi,

In the market for a new Enigma 2 box. Looking for something decent with a good remote that will last and a fast interface - I've seen some people whose look sluggish sometimes. Main requirements:

    - 2 Satellite tuners (freesat)
    - 1 terrestrial (saorview)
    - Internal 1 - 2 TB HDD (happy to install myself really)
    - Built in WIFI would be nice but not essential
    - Kodi and other apps
    - Can put a sky card in for Eir (if possible, I have asked in Satellite forum already)

TBH I'm not sure what the latest and greatest features are other than what I listed above. I bought a Gigablue Quad HD Plus on here for my home place and would be very happy with something like that but thought I'd ask here to see other (cheaper) options.

Budget - 250 would be nice, maybe a bit more if it's worth it.

kodi can be hit and miss as its not the full package kodidirect is on e2 boxes, box something like xtrends et 8500 with screen on front of box.

vu solo2 very fast twin tuner can also use a usb tuner for saorview

I have the xtrend ET8000 for the last year or so and I can't recommend them highly enough.

I think that they have stopped making the ET8000 but I got a mate of mine a ET100000 and it's a great machine.

Highly recommend the ET10000. Great support with Openvix and it runs so smooth.

I got an ET8000 about a year ago as well and its an excellent box.

I've put in 3 ET10000's for a few friends and they are even better.

It looks like the 10000 is going off the market as well as there aren't that many available at the moment. Satking have a 4 tuner (2 dvb-s2 and 2 dvb-t2/c tuners) for €369 plus delivery
