What is it that makes shaved/waxed guys such a turn off? Is it cos women think it's effeminate or gay or something?

She is definitely at a healthy body fat level there. Look at her fairly slim waist and define jawline. She has extremely exaggerated bone structure and proportions, huge hips boobs shoulders and large frame overall which make her look quite chunky and curvy though

In part that's from extreme-contouring her face, chest and possibly arms with cosmetics. She is well known for her contouring.

I notice faces and hair more than body type but I can't see myself with a short man.

Speaking personally, I just find hair on a man's body much more masculine and sexy. It must be a throwback to evolution or something, I don't know.

There's just something slightly artificial about the whole six pack, waxed chest look. I guess I prefer guys to look more naturally manly if that makes sense. Sean Connery as James Bond didn't faff about tearing the chest off himself at the beauty parlour or manscaping his pubes in the shower did he??

Or maybe I just missed that installment...:P

I like muscular lean (think Olympic swimmers) or even skinny, like Domhnall Gleeson. Someone once said he has a body like a rubber chicken and I could not disagree with them. Still super sexy though.

But muscles like that fitness model posted earlier in the thread? That look has never done it for me. Even football players and rugby players are a bit too big for me. I like 'em lean!

I like lean muscly guys too! Over muscly types don't do it for me at all.

What is seen as "effeminate" in men varies quite the bit over time and culture. Body hair as I noted earlier can vary across populations too. As can a general degree of male musculature.

I would suspect the current trend of waxing in men is a turn off for more women than not is because it's a) a outwardly visible sign of vanity and obsessive preening self image and/or b) too similar for comfort gender wise, not enough of a contrast.

Heavily muscle sculpted men may trigger the idea of excessive vanity. It takes quite the bit of time and effort and unless the woman herself is into that sorta thing then this may feel a bit "alien" to them. Now this is of course a tiny sample size, but I have noted personally heavy duty gym goer men tend to have girlfriends who are similar. Though oddly and again personally I've observed less of that in reverse. I've also observed that guys who are gym nuts tend to be very much one trick ponies. That's all they have an interest in and wider knowledge even yep intellect takes a back seat. They tend to be stereotypical "jocks". Indeed when I've encountered a chap who wasn't like that I was pleasantly surprised. Again women who were gym nuts were more likely to have a wider interest base.

So in short I would suspect a woman who sees a heavily muscled guy with a waxed chest her likely first conclusion is "vain as hell, not the sharpest tool in the shed"

Many worry about Artificial Intelligence. I worry far more about Organic Idiocy.

The posters who are saying that the very muscled look is healthy etc are missing the point, the question is what do -women in this case - find attractive. So far there has not been a response from a woman saying 'I love that highly/over developed muscle look'.

I really like all types, except maybe the extreme ends of thin or overweight. Anything in between is generally fine and more personality/attraction dependent!

Not overly skinny or overly fat.

In my view it's extremely easy for a woman to keep themselves looking good, just don't stuff your face and do the smallest bit of exercise.

Nicely-upholstered. The sort of woman who's shoulders and arms I'd like. It's Yiddish for "juicy".

If we are talking about looks only and not personality , I like girls that are in proportion , as in nice body , nice ass and genuinely good looking. Breasts aren't overly important and I absolutely hate too much make up/fake tan. I like someone who is natural , confident and in shape.

I'll be honest , I don't like fat women I just find it a complete turn off.

I'm going to be a contentious bastard as always with this one.

First thing is to watch what people do, rather than what they say.

Second, the fact that people have absolutely no idea what it is like to, in the words of the immortal Derek Zoolander to be "very very very good looking".

I know a guy like this. This lad has hit the genetic lottery and has the big build, the height, the muscles, the bodybuilding, you name it. I've been out drinking with this guy, who most women here would consider too muscular, and the amount of ridiculous stuff this guy has done all over the place: introverted, extroverted, smart, dumb, young, old etc. Massive difference between good looking and male model looking. He said the main thing was the roids lol.

Most people here who lift weights for a long enough time will tell you about how people will treat you better after your beginner/intermediate gains.

While there is variation between people obviously, there is a universal standard of looks for most people, which I'd say is as follows:

Women : Tall and big as in muscular as possible.

    Men: Young, skinny, slim.

You have to hang around with one of these guys to see the effect for yourself.

Would most men go off with anyone at the end of a night ..genuine question as I think that most women couldn't unless there was some attraction there..not judging just think its a major difference between us.

No way... when I was younger in my late teens/early 20s... I was very insecure and wasn't in a position to choose so was grateful for whatever came my way.

Nowadays I'd have to have some attraction. Beer googles aren't a great help mind you :pac:

I don't think most men, depends on their age and sex drive I suppose. And the amount of beer taken! I do agree it's a major difference between men and women though. For women there has to be both a physical and mental attraction. Well in my case anyway. Not that I haven't partaken in a one nighter but there has to be something enjoyable about it.

What type of women would the waxed look appeal to?

The superficial airhead with 200 pairs of shoes and a tanning appointment for 5 o'clock this evening.
    Maybe

Sure, why not. I mean there has to be some attraction there but it doesn't have to be much. I am talking about after a lot of drink. You just get less fussy. Think of it this way, you also get a lot less fussy about what you eat when you're drunk (I'm talking about food people. Get your minds out of the gutter ;) )

btw, apparently there are 237 reasons why women have sex.

Agree with the above poster that what people say they find attractive and what they actually find attractive are two different things.

I think many women profess to hate muscle but in reality muscular guys get A LOT of attention from women. If you ask the woman why she found him attractive though you'll probably get an answer like "he has a nice smile".

I remember talking to one girl asking what she thought of muscle men. She gave the usual response "I hate it, so unattractive" etc. Then I askednher had she ever been with one and she lit up and described the one time she'd been with a muscle guy and how much she enjoyed it.

Gotta laugh at all the evolution-heads in this thread. Attraction is so much more complex than evolution can explain. I know people with the most oddly specific types that its just laughable to posit "selection pressures" as the reason. Hairy vs non hairy would fall into this category for instance.

Jesus, I only have 1!! And it's not alcohol!

Salma Hayek in her prime was the perfect woman. Looks and body both stunning.

Watch the film "After the Sunset" for all the examples you need.

As for what I find attractive apart from the obvious things, it's hair. And I don't mean body hair.

Long hair on a woman is often the first thing I notice.

Ps, my wife hates hairy men. I'm not very hairy, but if I had back hair I'd have never lasted.

Following on fromt he "are you a roide" thread, I got to thinking what body types do men/women find most and least attractive in the opposite sex?

I'm a guy and in the media we always see big, muscular guys being touted as attractive. Do women actually find this to be the most attractive body type? Or is it considered intimidatingly good looking?

Typically the male body types can be broken down into

Overweight/fat - simply fat. Upper end of dad bod
Skinny phag - thin and scrawny. Little fat or muscle. Phag bod.
Skinny fat - Think the lower end of dad bod. Healthy BMI but out of shape.
Buff - toned but not big. bf approx 10%. Think Edward Cohen.
Ripped medium muscle mass with bf% <10%. Hugh Jackman.
Jacked - big muscle mass but with a higher bf% 15-20%. Jason statham.
Shredded - Child of ripped and jacked, good muscle mass with bf% <10%
Swole - Very large. Bulging with muscularity. Dwayne Johnson.
Yolked - Complete freakshows. Not possible without mega 'roidz bruh. Think Kali Muscle or Arnold at his biggest.

What sort of male body do average Jane on the street find to be the most attractive?

Eight different male body types!? Is your name Mac and do you co-own a bar in Philadelphia by any chance?
