Some Like it Hot is a perfect film in my opinion. Great performances, brilliant script, excellent music and the goddess that was Marilyn Monroe.

Planes, Trains & Automobiles has more big laughs than any other movie I've seen. Steve Martin and John Candy in flying form. Those aren't pillows!

More recently, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Zombieland are just so clever and have so many quotable lines. The Nice Guys was superb also.

These are also two of my favourites, they just don't make them like that anymore. Also love the Naked Gun movies.

They're still churning out spoof films, but the vast majority of them are utter garbage these days.

Too many other comedies to really mention, so many classics from the 80's and 90's in particular. Modern ones, I do like the Harold and Kumar movies, and 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' is probably my favourite comedy of the past 10 years.

As far as Irish films go, Intermission is my hands down favourite and I'd also put it up there with my favourite comedies, though international appeal would be limited.
