    Same, just good manners

You are some fckin goalpost mover. Pity you can't move the tray in a similar fashion.

Well you can enjoy eating your food whilst wallowing in someone elses flu ridden germs. Some of us have higher standards than doing so and expect a place we eat in to have clean tables, which is the job of the staff, not the customer. So I will continue to leave my tray behind so the staff wipe the table down properly, and especially more so as it annoys you :D

That's not a nice thing to say especially when you don't know me. I'll just tell you that you are completely wrong in your comment. Just because I don't feel like doing the employees job for them, you can only attack the commenter.

I bet you're the kinda person who gets out of the car at the car wash to critique the guy as he washes ur car?

No, I do that myself as I use an automated car-wash :) I critique the automated car-wash. Jezz, I'd hate to see what you're like when you encounter a real problem with people.

Do you do under the rims? I wanna be able to see my face in the rims?

Any of these jokers borrowing normal restaurant ettiquet ever leave a tip for the waitstaff or is it a n ala carte approach for adopting convenient restaurant norms?

Asking car wash attendants to give you rim jobs? Dirty bastard.

Shouldn't you believe in washing your own car.

This thread has convinced me to stop cleaning up after myself at macDs etc. It's a good argument that it will be done more hygenically otherwise.

No. I'm only joking on the critique part.

Personally I do! I use the machine for that reason ..... even tho its ****e. Id rather give the fella a couple of quid but I hate the whole .....sitting there whilst the freezing cold guy washes my window. Id never let anyone do something I can easily do myself.

Mmmm. Nice and shiny. Who doesnt like a smooth rim?

Sure isnt it what they re paid for. And as we ve learnt from this thread if you re not a prick to people with menial jobs they very quickly lose their menial jobs and shure where would they be then.

When you have friends over for a meal or home-made dinner, do you expect them to go into the kitchen and wash and scrub their plates, or would you allow them to relax after a nice meal and be the good host and clean them all yourself ?.

Depends on how much wine or booze you serve :-)
Seems if you actually charged your mates for the privilege they'll do the cleaning too.

I must start charging them next time to see by experiment if they clean them as well :D

Ok now I heard it all. A rag that is used from table to table without being washed is what will protect you from germs. Solid reasoning there. What next, a bit of Detol sprayed saves you from Ebola because it kills 99% of germs. Keeping people in jobs, protecting others from contagious diseases, I really didn't realize being a slob is such a noble activity.

Well you do now, but this friend is not acceptable to you because I'm too lazy for your liking. But you're still my friend in the virtual world.

I wouldn't say that a person lifting 400 blocks a day is lazy or a slob. It's nothing to do with laziness.

If you're served food you can put the food in the bins. No ones asking you to scrub the place just do the half decent thing and put it in the trash. You're not hiding behind this thin veil of "earn yer wage I'm helping you", your post is a bastard and should feel bad. I can't have an opinion on you publicly.

He could put the tray away, or you know, he may not. That's his choice, no need to get so wound up about it.
Were you responsible for ordering or paying for the food that was supplied? And before answering yes, please don't unless you can prove it.

That's a bit of a crazy request, don't you think?
I'm done with you to be honest. You're being completely ignorant. Making a huge winded excuse to be lazy, we all partake in the services offered by fast food joints big or small and only a minority are ignorant enough to leave their rubbish when they leave, the majority in this case, can't be wrong.

It's somewhat ironic calling somebody lazy because they chose not to do something, yet eating at a fast food restaurant is not lazy?

I mean, calling people ignorant because they have a stance opposite to your own, is quite ignorant ;)

Well in that case I'll just have to teach you the error of your ways :P

It's a small thing but it makes a difference. Before I leave I
take stuff out of the bin and put in on the table.

To all the people who clean their table in the Golden Arches, can I ask, do you throw your empty cup half filled with ice in the bin too? If so, please don't do this. Speaking as a former fast food employee, Please, please, do not do this. The number of times I lifted the bin bag out only for the weight of the water and ice to split the bag spilling cold water, ice, wrappers, bits of burger, unwanted nuggets, forlorn looking chips and all manner of other things to the floor, I could not count.

Please don't put your full, half full, or even nearly empty cup in the bin. Place it on top of the bin, or better yet, leave it and the tray on the table.

It wouldn't be easy convincing me though, but no harm in trying. I do still hold open the door for women, and men so I'm not all that bad of a person.

I'm aware of this, but I think it would be wise if there were more signage around restaurants advising people that this is a thing.

Now there's something of which I wouldn't do, putting half filled liquid in the bin, sure that would only be done by an idiot, or someone just being a right asshole.

    Good point.

    The bin may be contaminated.
