From my experience only use multiple lures if you can capture from them without moving.
But they scrape their mons from spawn points and nest near by.
So I save my lures for trips abroad.

Makes sense, thanks. Won't be heading abroad anytime soon though :D

Had another Omanyte elude me again today. Most interesting catch today was a Vileplume, but only 600cp. Going to head out walking for a few hours tomorrow, assuming it's not raining.

On the egg position, I've been watching how mine show up now for a while, and I'm of the opinion that it's by pokedex number....but who knows really, it's still not going to make them hatch what you want :p

Had 3 lures on the go along the riverfront in Limerick today. Nothing of interest bar a 1,000cp Nidorina. Figured i'd get at least one Dratini or something..

Once had a lure where a Dragonair spawned, but got away from me, only for the next spawn to be a Dratini, that's probably the best I've ever seen show up, this was again down at the river. I find any Lures in a town center useless, they're almost always rats and pidgeys.

I might have to start following you around :) I walked a good bit today and got nothing interesting. Put three lures on the bandstand in Ballybricken, only thing of note that spawned was a 1000CP Mr Mime and a Seadra.

Where was the Vileplume? Another one I haven't seen wild yet. There was a Gyarados on the Quay last night.

I've asked this before, is there anyway to GPS spoof on iOs? I'm in the middle of nowhere

Haha, I think at this stage the Omanyte is just showing up to taunt me :P The Vileplume was just off Ballybricken. Not sure of the name of the street (possibly Barker St), but it runs parallel to Ballybricken and joins onto Jail Street. It was about 4:45 this afternoon.

Walked up and down the Quay a few times then, and was coming from the bridge end and as soon as I hit the Clock Tower the Omanyte shadow showed up. Went up Barronstrand Street as far as Argos and he vanished, so went across Blackfriars and down Conduit Lane, and back as far as where I saw the shadow, and he was gone. Don't know who was more upset, me or the kids :D

Also caught a Jynx with 1156cp. Best one I've caught. If Jynx is any good to you, I've caught 3 this week outside Treacy's hotel. I might have to venture out at night sometime if Gyarados is going to show up!

    What 5 did you add?

I rechecked, it was actually six:
    Diglett
    Doduo
    Dugtrio
    Gyarados
    Rhyhorn
    Ponyta

Total haul is screengrabbed below, but there were plenty more regulars that I didn't waste time with, also Wartortal ran away. Total time spent was about an hour and a half, going back and forth twice on the main Causeway road. Best spots were midway down the road where there is a pokestop and the area outside the golf club entrance before the roundabout.

I went in with a combination of just under 200 hundred balls and had less than 100 left by the end, so if going make sure you are well stocked up. Best feeling was when Gary decided to stay in his ultra ball, I was absolutely chuffed. I had my daughter's tablet as well, so she freaked out later when she saw I got him for her as well.

Once I left Bull Island and got back to the regular pidgeys and rattatas, I just wanted to turn back and go again. It is defo out of the ordinary for time spent versus return.

Nice haul! If I go out for an hour here, I'm lucky to get the one page full :P

I haven't had a chance to play since yesterday but if my 2km is a Magikarp then the one after it must be Porygon so I'll hatch that next for a laugh

You know what, I had a 2km and 5km in my bag in the same order earlier, so I set the 5km going for that very reason. Thinking that I haven't a hope of getting a Porygon, so who knows, they're probably just random in the bag after all :D I'll find out tomorrow.

I'm 365 egg's in and still no Porygon, Grimer or koffing.
I've caught them in the wild but they seem to be very rare hatches.

I don't know if I've ever hatched a koffing either. I see at least ten a day though which makes me wonder if the egg contents are really related to the place they were picked up.

Got Bulbasaur from a 2km egg again, it's only been two months! Also got another Dratini in a 10km, and caught enough Magikarp for a second Gyarados (fingers crossed it's not another twister!)

Was browsing that trainer tips lads youtube channel last night, one of his friends had over 6,100 magikarp candy. That man needs help xD

You are not allowed to complain until you have your 4th twister.

270 towards my next Gyary. Statistically it really shouldn't be twister......right?

We used to dream of 'avin' a Twister!

How are you collecting so many Magikarp candy? I haven't even cracked 100 Magikarp candy after my 1st Gyarados evolve!

I walk up grand canal most days. I'd generally get between 30 to 50 candy on each trip.

Seriously want a Twister ice-pop now.

That's a crazy amount and no wonder! I do love a trip to town as so many water types are available.

Yup, loadsa water types. Love poli''s and slowpoke.

    Poliwarth's are beasts in gyms.
I've dropped all me stardust on poli''s in the past week. Need to have them big enough to sit high in gyms.

Gained 83,000 with a lucky egg run today, lots of new evolves. Up to Level 24 now with 93 caught and 107 seen. Slightly depressing that a lucky egg run doesn't even get me a full level up anymore. :(

Tell me about it. I need 83K times 5 before my next level-up (32)!

I've almost enough candy for another Poliwrath. My 1st ended up with Mud Shot & Submission so I'm hopeful for a better moveset with my 2nd one.

While they might be great in gyms, I'm still avoiding gyms like the plague as I can't stand the whole increase in "Seen" Pokemon from visiting gyms :(
