If it's any consolation, OP, I've managed to lose a perfectly good (and fairly expensive) pair of wet legs that I'd recently invested in - they normally live in my bike pannier along with the helmet and other cycling stuff, but recently I went looking for them, and there they were, gone.

I've also, even more mysteriously, managed to lose an entire (fairly large) emergency boot bag from my car, containing emergency triangle, hi viz jacket, gloves and all that other stuff that you collect. I've had it for years, and distinctly remember wondering would it fit into the miniscule boot of my new car when I got it last year - it did, much to my delight. But I obviously moved it out to fit other stuff in at some point, and recently copped that I haven't seen it in about a year or so.

I've searched high and low for both, and no sign.

Keys you can lose down the back of a sofa, or in a jacket pocket - that's easy. But two large items like that, in a small house/car with only me in them?

    That's clearly voodoo.

All the OP should have had in their hands is the keys:D

a few years I lost my front door key in the car -we had all come back from a day out at the beach-I had the door key in my hand while in the car seat then must have put them down while gathering up my phone, wallet etc and getting the kids to get their things to bring into the house, then we all marched up to the front door and they watched as I did my routine of looking for the Key,searched every where including the car-could not find it and had to call out a locksmith to open my front door(120 euro), 4 years later had to have the gauges?(the clocks that tell speed ,petrol gauge etc) replaced and took them out myself and there was my f......g key, it had somehow managed to wiggle its way between the glass in front of the dials and the dashboard

look under chairs ,sofa, clothes in washing machine, any jackets or trousers you wore recently .
you might have dropped them in a bag, or container .

Get hold of an electromagnet. Wander around the house wielding this bastard and they'll come out of hiding quick smart.

I once was on the phone to my mate while rummaging around the house. He asked me what I was looking for. "I can't find my fcukin phone" says I.....

Anyway the keys are out in the shed.

At this stage OP I think you should start calling a locksmith.

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

Our salt cellar went missing a few months ago. Gone. Poof.
Found it the other day in the wrong cupboard, hiding behind some beans. It was a good day.

I'm not sure if that's relevant to your plight OP. Maybe check behind the beans.
