It's disgusting to state that a man sexually assaulted a woman when you don't know the truth. Simple stuff really.

But keep doing those mental gymnastics so that you can justify what you surely know is wrong. If you want to argue this further, you'll have to admit that you think it's ok for allegations to ruin a person's life.
Mental gymnastics. Probably knocking at the door to be considered an Olympic sport now.

I was talking to a friend of mine just there about this election shìte. Was talking about the whole "but Clinton was a rapist" etc. What's interesting about the whole thing is that the answers coming out were "It wasn't Hillary who did it, Trump being words etc" despite the fact that she did a lot to help out the husband in that regard.

That's insanely interesting, as I've seen that kind of thing online on boards as well. Painting Billy as a perv doesn't seem to be working, but painting Trump as a perv does. I guess the fact that the democrats haven't been wheeling out Bill for that reason (Bill Clinton, who? Less of an emotional, visceral reaction), plus the distance of it means it stings much more for Republicans than Democrats.

Taking a look at some of the polls (gap is getting bigger in the past couple of days) there, the gap where the social desirability bias ceases to matter is happening.

Unless the democrats are hiding something big and non technical (do people really care about Wikileaks?), all you have to do is keep throwing out these allegations (quantity is the key here) of sexual abuse (true or not true, doesn't matter), and that's it, the election is yours.

It's looking more like a Hillary win, with women carrying it.

Unless something big comes out, like another health related fall on 9/11 for example.

Of course it's not ok for allegations to ruin a person's life.
But maybe you are forgetting that Trump has admitted to groping women?
He has stated it as fact himself.
    So maybe I believe him!

Okay, so you would happily state that it's disgusting for Donald Trump to have brought the accusers of Bill Clinton to the debate?

You're happy to state that Donald Trump is disgusting for doing so, yes?

This is all they have now after that second debate. Full out attack with spurious claims of sexual assault from thirty years ago and whatnot. With men fully onboard with Trump apart from hysterical weirdos, it's specifically aimed at turning women against Trump. I don't think it will work though. I'm sure they will see through these lies and see it for what it is - a desperation tactic.
I wonder if all these leaked Clinton e-mails will get any mention from this lying media while they feign outrage, cry and wail.

So you are saying the majority of men in the US are behind Trump?

    Yep.

Nate Silver has a couple of charts there on what would happen if just women voted and just men voted:

I'm not feeling the desparation from the Democrats. I'm seeing it in the Republican party though, with congressmen and senators falling over each other to distance themselves from Trump in case his toxicity is catching and they lose their own races.

    +1

It will not work. Trump is going to win.

Let the reign of Trumpiness begin !!!!

It pretty much seems like they are. 538's Nate Silver released maps yesterday showing what the likely result would be if a) only men voted (Trump won by a large margin) and b) if only women voted (Hillary won by a large margin).

What do you think of Trump bringing four women to the debate, who alleged sexual missdeads against the Clintons?

Whatever happens the Republican party won't exist as it has done. These people are finished.

And as a result, #repealthenineteenth is trending on Twitter among Trump supporters.

(that's the one that gave women the right to vote btw)

It's not unique to this election though. He goes on to show that it would have been a much bigger win for Romney on the same basis.

You could extrapolate that men vote Republican and women vote Democrat, but it's an "Auntie had balls" kind of reasoning.

I'm not seeing that in the polls. Republicans look like holding the house and although they have a battle to keep the Senate, it was always a lot closer there anyway.

Not for long when Democrats push on with their plans to replace the electorate.

Agreed, just pointing out in response to Timberrrrrrrr that the majority of men in the USA are for Trump.

Most people don't care about the e-mails, wikileaks. It ain't exciting enough. People vote on feelings and fuzzies, despite thinking how "rational" and "clever" they are. Some of the wikileaks stuff that came out on Hillary's awareness of her email situation came out today. No ones going to care about that.

Sexual abuse allegations, not just "locker room talk" on the other hand...

The democrats need to keep hammering this point home. You could also see Trump losing frame on this (calling out character assassination, I didn't do it, suing lads etc is a bad move) earlier today. Like I said before, Bill the rapist is having far less of an impact than Donald the perv. The reaction has been "not the husband" and all of that. It isn't sticking with women, the Bill stuff.

It's clicked with women, the Donald stuff, and its going to be very hard to unravel. The second debate was good for Trump, but the tapes and accusations have been big blows: a small bit for men and massively so for women.

Yeah, more than happy to say so. What's your point? Did you just admit that saying it about Trump is disgusting because you thought I liked Trump and would make some excuse?

Yeah, more than happy to say so. What's your point?

Just wondering as I don't remember reading your outrage when Trump was actively parading those women who've made claims against Bill Clinton at the press conference and debate, yet once some media outlets start posting women's claims against Trump, suddenly it's disgusting and anyone who believes it is disgusting.

As far as I recall, Bill Clinton's women talked of consentual relationships. Trump's women are talking about being assaulted.

No, at least two of the women, possibly three, have either accused Bill Clinton of raping them or of sexual assault.

    See you on November 9th.

To be fair to jobbridge4life, there are all sorts of things that could go wrong for Clinton in the next 26 days. There could be Wikileaks' "October surprise", a terrorist attack, particularly if it's on US soil (unless it's done by a white supremacist, like Dylann Roof or Anders Breivik), and of course a repeat of her collapse at the 9/11 memorial ceremony.

No one is in here stating as a fact that Bill Clinton is a rapist. And this isn't about the media, this is about the guy a few pages back doing just that about Trump. That's wrong.

One who only remembered 21 years after and one whose case was thrown out. And that was harassment, not assault.

Clinton was no angel but he didn't boast about it
