    Drug testing in prison came up recently in this thread and it made me laugh out loud.

    A relative of mine who is just a piece of **** went into prison about three years ago for a serious assault that put a formerly independent elderly man in a nursing home and came out of prison as a heroin addict because drugs in Irish prisons are rife.

    He's back inside now because he stabbed someone for not sharing cans with him (not fatally thankfully) about a month after he got out. A Stanley knife to the throat out the back of the courthouse is the kind of rehabilitation he needs. He'll never be anything other than human garbage.

    He celebrated his 21st birthday in prison.

    Sane. Also, someone who actually cares about society.

    He ruined what was left of an an elderly mans life and then stabbed someone a month after getting out of prison for that.

    Yeah, i'm the one who is terrible here. Anyone defending this kind of person should be as ashamed as the people who release them on bail/early release because they said they were realllllly sorry :(

    Our justice system needs to be become terrifyingly punitive because the left-wing touchy-feely thing has been proven to be a pathetic failure.

    See how good you will get on in a radical right wing society it wont be all hugs and cuddles I can guarantee you that. So don't go bashing left wing policies just because its popular and will get you a few narrow minded friends on boards.

    It's not radically right wing to expect dangerous criminals to be removed from society.

    I don't expect the justice system to be all hugs and cuddles because anyone who ends up in conflict with it usually deserves it. I won't need to worry about it because i have had literally zero negative dealings with it in my 33 years, the same as my direct family have had zero negative dealings with it in 60+ years.

    Bashing left wing policies is popular because they have been shown up as a pathetic failure and people are finally realizing that we need to stop trying to play nice with the savages in our society.

    It's astounding there's people justifying the three people who murdered a defenceless old man in his own home, after they gained entry by climbing in through windows. How can there be any defence?

    The funny thing about it, is if Dooley attempted to defend himself or his property (like padraig nally), he'd most likely be the one in prison.

    I opened my 4 shop in dublin this year mate. Highly successful nowadays i turned my life around.

    Oh yeah, the lefties are all open minded and intelligent... and nice soft push overs that the criminals are basically laughing at.

    Always amuses me how people with a more hard line/zero tolerance approach are viewed as somehow narrow minded and less intelligent. lol

    People admit that we are too soft on crime, and our sentences are too lenient... then when anyone suggests some tougher measures everybody fears that people will see them as some right wing nutter if they agree.

    Strange society we live in...

    I know people would cross the street if they saw him. He has SIXTY NINE previous convictions. Murder aside, he'd be locked up now anyway.
