Went out this week and in my stupid drunkenness lost both my wallet full of money and my passport...my wallet is returned to me but there's no sign of my passport! Why is Dublin the strangest place ever. Really i would have preferred to get my passport back rather than my wallet if i'm honest...i'm so glad i got something back but really stressing over losing my passport! :(

Just wondering if anyone here has lost anything on a night out and got it back? any funny stories come out of it?

I don't drink so no. My friends seem to have endless comical stories about losing money or keys or wallets and having to walk home or hitch lifts or sneak abroad public transport, etc.

And you brought your passport out on the piss because...?

Regarding funny stories, I think I'll wait until I see your published article before I tell you...

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Because they could then register on boards and start a thread about it!

A few years ago a friend of me in a drunken state threw his wallet across the room of a pub. He got into an argument or something, and threw it at someone. He got the wallet back, but there was no money in it. He regretted it the next morning.

I'm sort of lucky, never have lost a phone, wallet or keys before. Only thing I've ever left in a club is my dignity.

I don't understand this. I've been in more states than there is states in America, and the only things I lose on a regular basis is my dignity and my shoes. I've never lost my phone, or lost my keys or money or bag on a night out.

No ive never lost my purse or passport but i have lost one or two jackets.

I was at a house party a while ago and left my jacket behind. It is a red fitted leather jacket. In the end, the person who owns the house rang my oh and he kindly dropped it up to my house but he made a joke about it being a Michael Jackson jacket like the one from Thriller which in fairness it is a little bit like that one and now its kind of turned me off it :( I used to love that jacket!

Shocking that YOU lost your wallet and passport and you're moaning that some decent person handed in your wallet. God knows what hedge, manhole or road your passport is lying on.

Maybe look after your stuff a bit better and stop relying on others to look after your mistakes.

I have lost 3 jackets in the same pub, so now when I go in there, one of the bar men calls me over and takes my jacket until I am sent home

Ah yes the drunken night out, followed by the sobering macarena dance the next day to ensure phone, wallet, keys are all accounted for.

Left behind my rucksack bag on a couple of nights out but very lucky to get it back. Lost my minidisc player on a bus (remember them?) and it was gone for good. Lost a really good suit jacket once too. Lucky enough not to have ever lost my wallet or keys.

Don't drink these days so don't tend to lose things when I go out at night.

My dignity. Only thing I've ever lost. I've had a few things stolen over the year though.

I'm generally fine with staples like keys, phone or wallet not matter how melodeoned I get but I just stopped bringing out peripheral stuff (umbrellas, wireless headphones, gloves etc) because that's the stuff I unfailingly lose.

Back when I used to drink, I was heading for a taxi home and I was convinced I misplaced my house keys in the bar.... couldn't find them anywhere.

Arrived home and luckily they were still where I'd left them stuck in the front door! lol

    Sorry to hear that op.
Used to hate having to bring my passport to bars when I was younger. Always was afraid that I would loose it. Stupid bouncers asking me for id :pac:

My pal ended up having to put a string on his glasses, a middle aged chap can pull that look off but not a fella that was early 20s

Lost my phone, camera and my sense of self worth to a guy with a mushroom shaped penis. All in one night.

Lost my phone, bag, make up and house keys another night and had to kip in a stranger's bed miles away from where I lived. I ended up eating beetroot sandwiches in his kitchen. Nothing happened though as he was very kind to me and I was a complete mess. He also gave me his jumper and I had it on over a tiny skirt so it looked like all I was wearing was the jumper :)

I keep a front door key on a piece of string
    I tie around my ankle.
I've broken my nose twice and knocked out a tooth trying to open the door with the key still tied to my ankle.
