Lukaku was definitely definitely not the obvious captain choice

Agreed. On paper I think Ibra was the obvious choice
He had the chances as well. Reckon he's due a hat trick very soon with all the chances he's getting. Hopefully it'll be the next game;) but I'll be shipping him out for Lukaku to improve my midfield regardless

Lukaku at home was the obvious choice

I had him myself as captain but wouldn't have called it the obvious one. Then again I take gambles with my captains, had Mane one week which worked out well, Sterling another which was a disaster.

Lukaku just about made it worthwhile in captaining him, I would have been hoping for more tbh. Benteke will be my captain in the next gamesweek.

    Down 500k to OR 2029000...

I can only laugh now :):):)

Things can turn around very quickly in this game...... Just keep playing

466k OR myself, down from 343k. Took a -12 though so keeping things in perspective. I'm confident I can get some gains in the coming gameweeks.

Happy enough with this gw. Got 51 pts and moved up into 200k overall from 350k

76 this week, played AOA chip and left just 4 points on the bench. Up to 27k from 360k 2 weeks ago.

Never get the Lukaku burned me stuff, he averages over a goal every 2 games, he's 2nd only to Aguero for goals scored in the last 3 years and is by far the most prolific striker 24 or under.

Home to a palace team missing their main cb was the obvious choice for me at least.

gw6 - gw rank of 10,763 and a jump in OR from 292k to 37k

    No transfer

gw7 - gw rank of 3,336,828 and a fall in OR from 37k to 109k

The difference a week makes!! Glad I captained Sanchez, he was my 2nd highest scoring player after Lukaku!!

i captained him the week before away to Bournemouth - he'd scored a hatrick in his last away game, and Bournemouth looked utterly atrocious in their previous game against Man City. There's no scientific explanation behind it, but Lukaku simply has a history of trolling people when they've captained him!

He really should have scored in that game too, Boruc made a superb save from a header early in the first half. Anytime I watch Everton on tv, he gets very few chances but when he does, he looks so dangerous. Had Lukaku had the same amount of chances as Ibra had yesterday, he'd have probably scored 2 or 3.

Oh no need to tell me that i was watching the match, to add insult to injury it was Barkley(who i also had) who provided the cross

May I ask if it's your first year playing the game?

Lukaku is not a great player. He doesn't have a great technique. But he has very good stats and is a very decent striker.

In terms of FPL though, Lukaku has always been a great attacking option for more or less large parts of any season. But. But... But he did burn maybe up to every single one of ourselves in the past seasons while captain. And more importantly he's the trolliest player ever in the whole game, e.g. if you'd offer him a sextuple GW only facing blind one-legged men teams he'd manage to return 18 pts only as a TC while he'd get that amount as a non C player away to Pep's Man City THE week where you'd bench him 'cause you opted for a strong front 8 for the hectic Christmas period and he'd be the obvious player to bench, particularly 2 days after the last leg of his sextuple blank...

What? Me? Exaggerating? :pac:. Nah... This is all very realistic... or maybe just a tad :p.

I feel this has DEFINITELY happen me before!

I tripled captained him last season for that ill fated double gameweek towards the end of the season. He returned me (3*2)*2. I'll never forget.

Same here. Thankfully BUIB is gone and we only have Lukaku Trolling us this season :pac:

I've had him in for all of his recent hauls this season but I doubt I will ever captain him again. I was burned far too badly last year.

It's interesting that 7 of the top 8 points scorers are midfielders , Costa in 4th the only forward. I would imagine this to be very unusual, but food for thought.

There's a lot more quality options presently in midfield. Up front you're really looking at Aguero/Ibra/Lukaku/Costa. Maybe Benteke at a push. While i'd say there's a good 10-15 options worthy of our attention in midfield.

For his price, Deeney is a very viable option up front for Watford.
