Fairly certain my entrie defence will be lucky to score me even 8 points this week
    Foster
    Francis -- Koné -- Vertonghen

Still debating whether to stick with Sergio for the armband or switch to Sanchez!

Form over fixture... *repeat* Form over fixture.... and breath!:D

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,502 ✭✭✭spock.

    Foster
    Bellerin Koscielny Alderweireld Valencia
    Sanchez Mane Antonio Capoue
    Lukaku(c) Aguero

Lukaku to score and Arsenal to keep a clean sheet, that's all I ask.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,589 ✭✭✭✭Necronomicon

    Foster
    Williams Koné Evans
    Sterling Sanchez Firmino Antonio
    Costa Aguero Benteke
    Pickford, Capoue, Smith, Amat

Still undecided about captain, and also contemplating having Smith in the starting line-up but not sure who he'd replace. A lot of eggs in that Sunderland v WBA basket currently...

Aguero slightly edges it in the form department for me, he hasn't blanked in any game he has played. Spurs are solid defensively though compared to Burnley which makes Sanchez a serious contender though especially if he continues to play up front.

Edit: he only scored 2 points against West Ham but still seems the most in form striker in the league at the minute

    Currently going with:

    Cech
    Evans, Williams, Shaw*
    Ozil, Walcott, Firmino, Antonio
    Aguero (c), Lukaku, Defoe

    Jakupovic, Capoue, Amat, Masuaku

With serious doubts over Shaw I'm still deciding whether to:
    1. Risk him, with only Amat to come in if he doesn't play.
    2. Go AOA with Capoue
    3. Take a -4 to replace Masuaku, but good defensive options appear limited at present.

    Foster

    Vertonghen, jag, Williams
    Capoue, sanchez, Walcott, sterling, mane
    Lukaku (c) zlatan

    Forster, diomande amat friend

Still waiting for my Everton double defence to pay off, so hopefully tonight it will. Lukaku will set my mood for the weekend.

    Should I start Capoue (BOU - H) or Bolasie (Palace - H) ?

    Foster

    Smith Stones Mcauley

    Mane Sanchez Hazard Capoue Antonio

    Kun Lukaku

Captain Lukaku, but have switched it from him to Kun and back so might still change

AOA chip active to keep as much of my clusterfcuk of a defense off the field as possible.

    Heaton
    Shaw Evans
    Sanchez Antonio Bolasie Capoue Snodgrass
    Benteke Ibra (c) Aguero
    (Foster, PVA, Baines, Kingsley)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,986 ✭✭✭Cartman78

    Foster

    Valencia Verthongen A.Smith

    Lallana Mane(C) Eriksen Walcott

    Benteke Agueroooo Lukaku

    - Capoue Amat, Jakupovic, Baines

Last chance saloon for Eriksen - the main flop from my otherwise successful wildcard

Would people be more inclined to start Holebas or Capoue this week?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,709 ✭✭✭✭Cantona's Collars

    ...............Foster..................

    McCauley.........Shaw.......Koscielney

    Sterling...Sanchez...Capoue....Milner

    Rashford....Ibra (c).......Aguero

    Pickford..Barry...Holgate...Amat

I won't have any internet access from lunchtime on so no last second tinkering.

I'd go AOA. With Liverpool's form I don't think you want Amat subbing in, and it seems unlikely that Shaw will play.

I'd edge for Capoue in that choice, with clean sheets at a premium so far this season and the fact that Capoue is a 4th rather than 5th midfielder for many now (nervous about having him on the bench myself).

With Costa, Lukaku, Aguero and Sanchez in my team, I will be very surprised if I don't get a decent score this week. The fixtures look great for all of them

Any hammers fans out there ?????
Was James Collins dropped last week or I'll/injured
Seems odd he wasn't even a sub
And it's not like they were better without him so im veering towards playing him and banking transfer but Amat is his back up again !

Still unsure about captaincy but on Ibra for now

I'm going option 2 as well rather than wasting a - 4 on a defender.

    Capoue, Sanchez, Cazorla, Mane, Milner,
    Ibrs(c), Rashford, Lukaku
Double ups on Arsenal, Liverpool and Utd, no City.

Shaw is down as being ill and got criticised by Mourinho in the presser after the loss to Watford. The media suggested he wasn't happy at being publicly criticised and that sort of stuff looks like leading to bench time for Shaw when he does get fit.

I've got rid of him because I've seen these things happen too many times with Mourinho to think it's going to work out any differently.

Heaton looks guaranteed for a bunch of saves. Sunderland have scored in two of their three home games so it's unlikely either will have a clean sheet.

At the moment I'm favouring Heaton due to saves. I'd like to hear an argument in favour of Foster.

Don't think it's an option. Sterling and Valencia are next on the list and I couldn't see me not playing them.

Capoue is a must start this week imo against a Bournemouth side who've conceded in all their away games so far this season. They've conceded goals to midfielders in each too which is interesting. Capoue has two goals in three home starts.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,585 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

    Foster
    Williams Friend Valencia
    Sterling Mane Ozil Antonio Snodgrass
    Lukaku Aguero

    Pickford Mee Diomande Amat

    1. It'll be Mane or Aguero as captain.

    2. The Ibra and Sanchez fear is very real. I just can't justify -4 this week as I think Lukaku has a decent chance of matching Ibra, plus Burnley are tough at home. If Arsenal score I'll just hope Ozil's haul is somewhat comparable to Sanchez.

    Is this decent logic?

judging by the teams listed here there's a lot of pressure on Pubisball to hold up.

    Foster (Jaku)
    Lovren Holebas (McAuley, Amat, Baines)
    Sanchez Sterling Firmino Antonio Capoue
    Aguero Rashford Lukaku

If I bank my transfer it's either AOA or a double Pulis away to Sunderland. Only 2 CS for WBA so far though.

    If I use my FT.
I'm tempted by Sterling -> Walcott. I don't know why I sense a Sterling blank or rest... With KDB & Nolito out he should be nailed though with Pep we never know. But anyway, Spurs at home won't be an easy nut to crack.

Or Baines out. Direct swap to Williams? Or a Saints def (great defensive form but tough run of fixtures)? Or an Arsenal def (good defensive form too) and great next 4 fixtures. Scratch that I can't afford any of them..

    What do you guys think?

Capoue is a defensive midfielder for a team that will probably be bottom 6. He has scored a statistically improbable number of goals from doing very little actual attacking. People treating him as the new Mahrez are loosing the plot IMO.

He's not a must start if you have 4 other mids who are actual attackers.

Tadic all day long. Leicester conceeding plenty and he's on pen. And he'll probably spend about 4 x as much time in the final third.

I'm stuck between playing AOA to play Capoue over Amat/Cameron or not.

Being a Capoue skeptic my heart isn't in it. May just play one of the defs and hope for 2 points.

Thinking I might keep AOA for GW38.

Also, Pickford (and Kone) or Foster? Gut is double Sunderland.
