Did a mass lucky egg evolve there. 139 in the dex now. Need Kangaskhan, Grimer, Omanyte, Kabutops, Ditto, Chansey, Farfetched and the three legendaries.

just noticed a shadow down the road, ran out and LAPRAS!! :eek:

1900cp, 60 something % ivs, but still my first

and just as a got back to my apt another shadow appeared, Hitmonchan! So a brisk 2 second walk down the road and got 2 new additions on the dex.

Nice way to end a Sunday :P

Ah ffs another Eevee evolution and I get a flareon. 13 evolves and just 1 vaporeon, seriously.

I've stopped evolving them. The game loves giving me Flareons aswell, I do have a Vaporeon with hydro pump so at least that's something. I've only had one other Vaporeon outside the Rainer trick on the first evolve.
I'm now saving Eevee candy for Umbreon and Espeon in Gen 2

Had a great weekend between Bull Island and Dollymount. Got two Lapras and just missed out on a third plus about 10 charmander, 4 or 5 bulbasuar and loads of other decent stuff. Should have my Charizard before the end of the week and just Venasuar and Machamp left to get then (other than legendaries and region specific stuff)

Did anyone manage to get a Charmander on Bull Island without sneaking on to the golf course? Very frustrating knowing they're hiding in there in a private area.
I still haven't gotten a single Charmander yet I have two Chanseys!

Went back to it since I first tried it weeks back and just picked my Bulbasaur and left it.

Checked it outside my local supervalue and caught 2 Ratatta and an Evee for the craic

I doubt I'll play it much as I'm in the sticks but

1. Are these pokestops just to get pokeballs?

2. What's the use of CP and attacks and all that of you can't battle others?

3. Are candies gathered to evolve like gather 20 and then just tap evolve?

4. What are gyms for?

1. No they also give you potions and eggs.

2. You battle in gyms

4. You can collect coins and golddust.
Place your mon in a gym and every 21 hours it is there you can claim 10 coins and 500 stardust

There are loads of videos on youtube. If you are late starting yiu can learn all the tricks and avoid the pitfalls that I (I assume most others) fell into.
*how best to use lucky eggs
*when/what to evolve
*how best use incubators
*and so on.

It's been promised, it was displayed in the advertising film.
But I think it is a long way off.

I doubt it would work at this stage, anyone starting now, or even a couple of minutes a day player would be slaughtered.

Its possible to get some of the ones on the golf course without risking getting smacked with a golf ball for your troubles. Using my very advanced MS Paint skills I've put red dots on the regular spawn points that can be reached without going on the actual course itself. I don't think any other spawn points for them on the Golf course can be reached from the 'public' areas (althoug I''m open to correction).

Most of them do require you to drive up the road to the golf clubhouse car park but as long as you use a scanner like www.fastpokemap.se or something similar and only make the trip up where there is something you will definitely catch rather than repeated speculative journeys then it isn't something the golf club are likely to have too much concern over. You could even pop into the clubhouse for some food like myself and the wife did on Sunday to give a little something back to them

I only got myself the 1 Flareon so far, got myself 3 Jolteons over 1000CP.
The naming trick stopped working after my first Flareon so I now have three >1400 CP Vaporeons.
Like yourself I think I'll just hold on to my candy (although I do want to evolve my 14 CP Eevee as its so cute!)

Caught a 692CP Eevee yesterday, its my highest yet but only 67%.
In a similar fashion got a 400 Pidgey and a 729 Drowzee. Both sub 66% IVs.
Such a shame seeing high CP and not even being a little better.
I'm 2/3 to Level 26.

I've caught 700+ CP Eevees but they're nearly always ones with crap IVs. Seems to be par for the course for the ol' wild catches.

Has anyone reported anyone for cheating? There are a couple of names round here that have to be cheating. Was ignoring it when I'm seeing them here and there, but got up this morning to find they've taken over every gym in the area, so we're talking 10+ Pokemon each with a minimum of 3000cp. Really fed up of seeing them everywhere when they're obviously cheating. The rest of us don't stand a chance, so I'm really considering reporting thrm now.

I was in Marley Park on Saturday, a simple walk around got me 7 squirtles. Definitely worth a trip if you need the little blue lads

Yep there are 2 very similar usernames, one at 30 and one at 36. There's also a third person In all the gyms with them, different username,level 27, and again, all really high cp.
