Aguero is price protected until 9pm Thursday night.
Any chance he will rise then on Thursday night before the Friday deadline?
I'm tempted to just swap him with Ibra as he has a far better fixture, then swap back maybe during the International break.

Sounds like 2 wasted transfers but if Zlatan hits a hat-trick against Stoke which he may very well do, then it could be very shrewd.

    No chance he'll rise.

His NTI will be reset to zero when flag is lifted.

In that case I'll wait for Zlatan's inevitable 3rd drop of the week and decide on Thursday night after the Utd game.

Zlatan probably won't drop again this week now he's back at his starting price.

    On my WC

    Pickford Foster
    Kone Amat Kelly Smith Williams
    Sanchez Mane Son Capoue Myler
    Aguero Rashford Ibra

    .4 itb
Happy with that squad. Any one see any issues?

Doubling up on Rashford/Ibra would be my biggest concern if I had that team.

Any chance de bryune could go down in price before the weekend

There's only room for one Lucas hood around these parts.

Anyone going with Ozil instead of Sanchez? I remember the second half of last season Ozil performed better in terms of points

I'm considering him as my KDB replacement - I'm 0.2 short of getting Sanchez in and don't really want to go -4 ahead of European games and having used my wildcard last week.

Actually, the -4 might be worth it. My front 8 at the moment is -

    Snodgrass - Capoue - KDB - Firmino - Mané

    Kun - Lukaku - Benteke

With 0.2m in the bank, I think my route to Sanchez is to go Benteke to Austin and KDB to Sanchez. Austin looks in good form and while Southampton's fixtures don't look any better than Palace's for the next while, I'd trust them to get better results.

Can easily move Rashford on if it doesn't work but he has and fixtures in his favor this week

I have been tempted to do Benteke to Rashford, because I'm going to be in dread of what Ibra will do and would like to offset the fear. But United follow that up with Chelsea and Liverpool away, while Benteke gets a plum fixture at home to hapless West Ham.

Instead I'll probably focus on defence; Friend and Koné are racing to become my first price drop in a while, so would like to shift one (or potentially both for -4, but probably not).

I have 0.5 ITB, so leaning towards Koné out, Williams in. Will then have a think about whether or not there is a 4.5 worthy of replacing Friend for a hit. Burnley on my radar now, but they have tough fixtures coming up.

Took an 8 point hit, didn't want to but it had to be done to sort out my defence.Kos,Rashford and Milner in.Doubling up on Rashford and Zlatan might be a risk but against a woeful Stoke it could pay big dividends.Needed Liverpool cover and my defence was a mess with Collins and Holgate giving me nothing and Pulisball not functioning anymore.

Thinking Baines and Collins out for Monreal and Smith for -4. Hate taking hits for defenders but feel its needed. Have Shaw, Evans and Amat as well. Will prob wait until after CL game to make sure Monreal is ok and see if Smiths warning goes

Tempted to do Antonio to Snodgrass, and Hazard to Sanchez. Fix predicts an overall reduction in points with that move.

Convince me otherwise fellow fantasy footballers.

Hazard finally moved along for Sanchez and dropping Cazorla for Milner on a -4 looks like the business to be done.

Wouldn't do that this week unless you really wanted to captain Sanchez. Antonio up against Friend who's been rubbish and Hazard against a Hull side that have shipped 9 goals the last two matches

    I'd agree with this.

Yeah, unless there is an injury, I might bank it.

Is there a defender worth 4.3 that will be getting minutes?

Amat and Kingsley at 4.1 the only ones in that range I think.

    Cameron at 4.4 is next.

De Bruyne and Snodgrass out for 2 of Sterling, Mata or a Liverpool midfielder (Looking at Coutinho). What say yee?

Kdb out sanchez in, was going to do antonio to Walcott but I'll leave that now.

Mata is not a guaranteed to start and coutinho and sterling are playing well

Sterling and Liverpool I'd say from those two options.

In a way we could ask ourselves a different question. How many times you/we'll deliberately play or need your/our 5th def?

I got Amat in my initial team because people were saying he should be playing.
So far, I never played him. Only needed him last GW and he contributed with a 0 pointer auto-sub.

My point is. If you/we're a bit short cash-wise, how worse it really is to get a non-playing £3.9m def? Maybe not too much, at least mid-term.

Reports in the paper Rooney is to be dropped again at the weekend but long term, it's not the safest of transfers.

Yeah it's hard to call, I'd like to bring in mata but can't be sure if he'll start

Agree with this, I got Brad Smith in my initial team as I was sure he would eventually get the starting left back spot, hasn't played a minute so far and doesn't look like he will anytime soon either. Somehow he has managed to stay at 4.0m but I think he will fall to 3.9 soon but I don't think I can waste a transfer to replace him with someone who I will most likely never play.

It for sure is an option.

I was gonna go that way this week getting a 3.9 in for Collins (the non playing defs have matched his points tally last 3 GWs anyhow1 :)) I toyed with going Brad Smith or Marc Wilson for 0.1 more punting that they may get gametime, but a bit of research showed that to be unlikely.

Then I opted for Cameron at 4.4 as he is currently playing and has really great fixtures after United.

However, if Stoke start to look half capable of a cs or 2 in their goos run I may well do Baines to a 3.9 going with a 5.0 def plus Kone/Cameron/Amat rotating for 2 spots. Play AOA if I'm really stuck. Should get me nearly to Xmas and free up serious cash for the front 8.

I think your better off going with 5 playing defs unless you have a couple of defenders your going to play every week. E.g. alder baines two 4.5s and a non playing is fine. However four 4.5s and a non playing means you need to be happy with 3 out of 4 every week.
