I know I meant 2nd look to see if it was worthy of a card. On first look it seemed card worthy to me but Clancy obviously needs a 2nd look

Clancy needs something else, not a 2nd look... ;)

Scarlets get a pen for that...what a surprise!

That was a bit careless by Aki.

How's that a penalty. They ran into each other

Because Aki was focused on the man for the majority of his run and ran beyond the ball. Left Clancy with no option.

Aki was way ahead of the ball.

When ever in doubt just give the ball back to Scarlets, good man Clancy.

Hodges flags that 8 was tackled without the ball. Conveniently ignores that he was running across the ruck to prevent Connacht players joining it.

    Buckley! Great turnover.

Clear penalty. He tackled a man who wasn't a part of play. Cool it lads. You may not like how he's reffed the game so far but that doesn't mean every one of his calls needs to be questioned.

    Stupid decision to kick.

  • Registered Users Posts: 888 ✭✭✭Cathalthesmart

Connacht are really crippling themselves with some of these kicks.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,166 ✭✭✭✭Zzippy

Meanwhile, in Clancy-world, it#s now legal to jackal by placing your hands on the ground past the player and raking them back to get on the ball... if you're a Scarlets player, of course.

Barclay clearly ran across the back of the ruck to prevent players joining it. That and taking players out off the ruck are 2 of my biggest big bears on open play these days.

    Fabulous defence from Connacht!

Some great tackling there by Connacht - Healy! And ultimately Muldoon puts and end to the attack. Great stuff.

    Muldoon you beautiful beast you

Great read by Healy as well early in that phase

Need to get Carty off from 10 asap as he a disaster. Kicking away stupidly

Unreal tackles there from Muldoon, Aki and Healy before a great turnover from Muldoon.

    Brilliant defence.

True. Carty does more bad than good in nearly every game. With this game so tight he can't be relied on to nail a last minute penalty or conversion.

As great as Jonathan Davies is at picking lines he's actually a pretty bad passer when running with the ball. A huge weakness for a centre.

Stop with the stupid f***ing kicks

  • Registered Users Posts: 888 ✭✭✭Cathalthesmart

This is so infuriating, they screw up nearly every single attack.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,166 ✭✭✭✭Zzippy

We hardly kicked at all last year. WTF is Carty at?

every second boshoff spends in sa connacht are less likely to even make the playoffs

Those two scarlets forwardso looked very happy coming off the pitch for lads that were losing at home.

You can tell that this is a game between two sides low in confidence. Error strewn would be an understatement.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

    What a tackle!

  • Registered Users Posts: 888 ✭✭✭Cathalthesmart

Watching all the error's you'd think the Connacht players had never played in the rain before.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,767 ✭✭✭✭molloyjh

Should have been a turnover pen to Connacht. Aki was all over that.

    What a tackle

That line breaking pass looked clearly forward.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

That's twice Marmion has been charged down now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,470 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

Try saving tackle from TOH to make up for his own knock on that led to the chance. And Connacht mess up the clearance yet again.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,386 ✭✭✭✭DDC1990

Some tackle from TOH but Marmion trying his best to keep Llanelli in it with kicks like that.

Tiernan O'Halloran channeling his inner Dave Kearney there!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

That's a try surely. What can the ref be checking?

Its going to be a long season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,470 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

That was too easy. Connacht players too busy appealing to the match officials while the Scarlets just played on.

Criminal there, not clearing our lines = giving Scarlets that try.

  • Registered Users Posts: 888 ✭✭✭Cathalthesmart

Connacht got what they deserve, so much sloppy play.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

    What a conversion by Patchell!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,427 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Connacht's defence is still so poor.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,695 ✭✭✭BrokenMan

What the hell clear hands in the scrum

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,820 ✭✭✭b.gud

Scarlets flanker used his hand to put the ball back at the scrum in the lead up to that try

How did the assistant not see that hand in the scrum prior to the last try??

  • Registered Users Posts: 888 ✭✭✭Cathalthesmart

    He's Welsh.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,841 ✭✭✭Squatter

    He's Welsh.

And Clancy is Irish - and he's been letting the Connacht defence live offside throughout the game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

Could be another try here......DG....smart play Scarlets.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,470 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

Meltdown under way. Constantly giving away possession cheaply. The last 10 Scarlets points have all come from Connacht errors.
