Raheny is about 1200km from and I think that nest has rhyhorn now :D
They might move some nests around again, I for got it about that, although the only nests I've ever seen here were rattata and Pidgee.
No buddies for me with my Chinese phone unfortunately. I guess I might change phone at some point.

Another anomaly here I guess. I have seen more grimers than drowzees. Apart from when I was in Ireland briefly.

What was the story with your rooted phone, got it working somehow?

Still running 0.35 until they boot me off or the phone dies! I'll try updating my wife's phone on the sly, I think it came unrooted.

London is amazing, I was there in late July but it was for work so only had 2 hours to walk around Convent Garden before back to the office. It was a quick overnight trip with barely any personal time. A second power bank and a storage upgrade might be needed!! Judging by what I saw the lures in some areas are constant, barely time to check IV's before trying to catch the next pokemon (this was before the appraisal system)

As far as I'm concerned Pokémon Go is going going gone. It was a disaster to begin with and seems to have fizzled away already. Not Interesting at all :)

Doesn't really hold up to the reality though, lots of people still play it.

Folks, I'm a recent convert to the fate, but am already enjoying the extra exercise. I've had a rude awakening from my noob ways however as I ran out of pokeballs as I was trying to catch a lapras that appeared. I was level 5 when it happened this week and I'm kicking myself even more as I realise how rare they are.

Never again! I currently have about 80 balls and building up more.

Yeah, you're grand if you're in a city or a town with a decent number of stops, but if you're not you can get caught out fairly quickly. It can be a pain keeping a decent stockpile of them.

Good excuse to keep walking and doing laps of a small town, keep re using the stops especially if you choose to avoid catching pidgey, rattata, weedle etc for an hour or two.

Walking through Fairview Park we saw the gym there get taken down. However, there was nobody near the gym. Either they were wearing an invisibility suit or cheating.

Obviously the imminent death of this thread proves her statement to be spot on?

I'm hoping it's the invisibility suit.

That gym I was planning on attacking was changed to blue (my colour) level three with only one flareon in it when I woke up but by the time I got there it was level 5 and full of snorlaxes. I would have given it a go to train it up but was a.bit short on time.

I hatched a doduo which leaves me in the bizarre situation of grinding up a few dodrios to get candy so I can evolve the doduo into a new dodrio. This game is insane sometimes.

Caught bulbi and ivysaur this morning. Seems silly that they're worth the same candy and I'm regretting evolving two Bulbasaurs already and wasting those sweet bonbons.

Just read a good chunk of this thread, absolutely pointlessly as I have no idea what ye are all on about and I don't have a smartphhone. For some perverse reason I found it entertaining. Even if I had a smartphone (which might happen shortly) the game would be long dead before I figured out how to play it :D Its an appealing kind of notion though.

The found location of Pokemon is back in the latest release. Apparently

Edit: nah, it's just nonsense, the name of the city you caught it in. Completely useless.

Here's a question. I used to have a sony xperia and pokemon would keep the screen on, even though the screen timeout was set to 1 minute or something. I just upgraded to a galaxy s7 and the screen turns when pokemon is on as if the phone was idle. I can set the timeout of the screen to 20 minutes, but the problem is, that will be 20 minutes for everything. Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere? It worked fine before.

Plenty of us didn't have the slightest clue about Pokémon till this game came out. Now we're experts. Funny really, the game is fairly indept but you can start out just collecting different pokemon and gradually get sucked in. It's good fun.
But you need a smart phone

Have a great time in London! If you have time to go to any of the parks, there are loads of mons. Down by the London Eye at Waterloo (and all along the river really) are loads of Magikarps, Psyducks, the odd Dratini and Ponyta.

Green Park has loads of Eevies and Ekans and the occasional Jigglypuff.
Greenwich had Charmanders when I was last there
    Hampstead Heath for Rydons
Holland Park is lovely and always has loads of Bulbasaurs (as well as some Abras, Nidoran and the occasional Lapras)
    Regent's Park has some Squirtles
Battersea Park is teeming with Digletts (haven't had the chance to go there yet though)
    Richmond Park has Abras

Looks like you cant even walk around Hyde Park without tripping over a Pokemon

Oh yes, I had typed Hyde Park originally and deleted it. Any of the big parks in London are good really.
