One would nearly have to admire your determination in trying to make something out of this.

The amount of posts from you scrambling to try and prove a point, about a team and manager you clearly hate, shows real commitment to the cause.

And ye lads go on about United fans being obsessed with LFC?

    El

    Oh

    El

It only seems to be Liverpool fans on this forum that think rival fans are obsessed with them.

But next time he's in the United thread he will be making a genuine point and we are just too partisan to realise...

At least you're honest enough to admit it:pac:

Busted flush is too soon to call, maybe he will pull it around but in the meantime, I'll be enjoying every second of squirming by their club and fans.:)

Na, made the mistake of confusing that thread with an actual discussion thread where points and issues would be discussed on their merit but won't be wasting my time engaging there unless the incestuous fan boy culture changes which I don't see happening any time soon.

I will of course keep reading it as it too is a great source of fiction and humour.

    Fanboy? Cringe...
Suppose I should call you a h8er or something in response?

Why? I don't hate anyone or anything. Can't be ar$ed with such negative energy.

FWIW I think Utd have done brilliantly over the last 25 years/SAF era and have set a new standard in terms of consistently winning trophies which others (my own club included) seek to emulate but now Utd are themselves struggling to maintain that standard post SAF which is hardly surprising. It's been a rough ride with Moyes not really getting out of the blocks at all and was kind of frozen in the spotlights then LVG arriving with a big reputation but not delivering so it's nervous times if SAF replacement #3 doesn't work out.

I disliked the way Jose manages from his first stint at Chelsea and by that I mean the way he treats people which I think has gotten worse and worse as the years roll by.

My view is he's lost his mojo. The 53 year old Jose now in charge at OT doesn't have the energy and drive which were a big part of his early success. Instead the passive aggressive side of his management style has mushroomed. On the one hand he is all friendly to the players http://metro.co.uk/2016/07/29/jose-mourinho-is-like-a-friend-to-manchester-united-players-and-has-brought-a-winning-mentality-to-club-says-wayne-rooney-6037628/ and gives them extra time off but on the other he publicly slates them for bad results.

Given the way he turned a PL winning team into dross last year and has started out at OT I think the writing is on the wall and that's a genuine belief which some die hard Utd fans may take as a biased attack on their club but it isn't, it's my interpretation of what I see unfolding with the latest event being someone senior in the dressing room briefing journalists against him.

Sometimes you are so close to something or its so important to you that you don't even know you're in denial and sometimes you need to be a disinterested observer in order to see the wood from the trees.

    Time will tell I guess.

Everyone is so tribal on this forum, I love it in fairness. Its admirable so much of us care a lot more than we really should about a football club.

****en right, i remember the Suarez and the Rafa days. They could have burnt down my house and i would found a reasoning for it. Not really related to Jose yet as i still think utd will go close to winning the league.

Good come back, I surrender :P

BTW, if true it looks like this is going to go down well tonight. Should add another layer of spice to Rooney getting axed rested on Saturday.

You're certainly not a disinterested observer. Don't even try and play that card :pac:

OK, my bad. I should have chosen my words more carefully. Perhaps "a distant observer" as in not being a partisan supporter would have been more apt. Apologies if you felt I misled you.

I'm interested in PL football and the big stories of the day. Mourinho being as big a story as there is right now bar Pep's revolution at City.

If I was a United fan and I seen that poster at a game I'd be embarrassed. It's Woodward you should be looking to get out the door, he gave Rooney the ridiculous contract.

At that time it looked good decision to give contract to Rooney.

On redcafe many have posted examples of Fergie blaming players in the post match conference, in fact every manager discusses players from time to time. Some of the twist and agenda is embarrassing.

Following this thread is the equivalent of slowing down when there's been a crash in the opposite lane. You know you should just drive on....but...

Have a look at the picture closely.

I'd draw particular attention to the hand in the top right.

I'd also draw your attention to a follow up tweet from Boylesports that is in the United super thread.

The above is clearly a Photoshop effort.

But don't let something that is as blatantly obvious as a bad Photoshop mock up distract you from your mission.

To quote Chopper Read, never let the truth get in the way of a good story.

    ;)

FWIW, any Liverpool fans that are reading this thread and haven't ventured into the Utd superthread, you are of course welcome to and you will get some good discussion in there with Utd supporters if you are looking for it, as many Liverpool supporters already do.

If you come in like the above poster does and post nonsense you will be treated accordingly. Doesn't matter which team you support.

José needs to be given time. Same as Rooney.

Rooney needs time to mature into his career

Mourinho begins each of his managerial stints by battening down the hatches at the back, he's done the opposite at united, wouldn't be surprised if united adopt a less adventurous approach for the rest of the season.

You obviously didn't read my post correctly, particularly the underlined piece "BTW, if true it looks like this is going to go down well tonight." ;)

Adding "if true" to a witless post doesn't make it any less witless.

    :)

I still fancy Mourinho to be at United come January. He'll have a shave and a shower when the evenings start stretching again and the form will pick up.

Using the word "witless" in a strawman argument doesn't make it any less strawman :eek::eek:
