Two bad GWs in a row so time for action

Aguero, Lukaku, Antonio and Marney in
Costa, Negredo, Ozil and Barkley out

    For a -8.

Get Fletcher instead of Marney and save yourself .1

I now have a frontline of Zlatan,Costa and Aguero.Midfield is weaker as a result but I have 3 pretty much nailed on points getters there so not too concerned.

Same here. Ozil is my most expensive mid but I'll give him another couple of chances yet, while downgrading a defender to give me options. I think you can only have 4 max of the big hitters with a functioning team so I've chosen to have three in the forwards.

Wildcarded today. High profile casualties are De Gea, Valencia and Hazard. Capoue and Townsend have been there since the start of the season. Capoue has been a pleasant surprise!

Slightly worried that my defense isn't strong enough but I think the only real option is to downgrade Mane to either Coutinho or Antonio to be able to afford a better defender.

    Thoughts?

I like it. Maybe Williams instead of Stones?

AdMMM try Costa to Lukaku, Townsend to Snodgrass, Foster to Pickford, Stones to Williams, and Mané to Sanchez. If my maths is off I apologise :P

Really want Firmino this week, but can't do it without sacrificing Sterling or Sanchez. If I do Aguero too it will have to be a -4 transfer (probably as part of an eventual -8) also.

    Aguero KDB Capoue IN
    Kane Ozil Nolito OUT

for a -4, Kane/Nolito forced my hand didn't want to take any hits.

Have a -20 lined up (which will turn into a wildcard on approval of my questions below)

    Hennessy to Pickford
    PvA to Lovren
    Wilson to Kingsley
    Evans to Williams
    Redmond to Snodgrass
    Hazard to Sanchez

Pickford started at the weekend, do we suspect that he might retain his place seeing as he started at the weekend over the new signing. Hennessy was a good idea at the time, but he has lost his place. (I have Jaku as my other keeper)

PvA was awful in his last game and dropped at the weekend. I'm thinking Lovren as a cheap way into the liverpool defense who have a nice set of fixtures coming up. Plus, it seems, he has an eye for goal ;)

Wilson (cheap non playing defender) to be replaced by Kingsley (Cheap, playing defender)

Evans pulisball is on life support and even though they have a couple of good fixtures coming up, they have a nightmare run afterwards - so Williams in Everton sounds like a good replacement. Can pick Jags either.

Redmond just hasnt been up to speed and needs to go and snodgrass is in form. I would have made this transfer last night but I was drunk :)

Hazard to Sanchez (Expensive no scoring midfielder for an expensive scoring midfielder)

Would leave me with a team of ::

    Jaku
    Shaw - Lovren - Williams
Sanchez - De Bruyne - Antonio - Capoue - Snodgrass
    Zlatan - Aguero

    Pickford - Diomande - A. Smith - Kingsley

    2u8ia92.jpg

Which looks pretty good to me

Anyone able to give me any reason why I shouldnt/cant pick any of these players :)

Used my FT to get Sterling in for Firmino and may yet leave Kun alone instead of going -4 to swap Ibra for him. Will re-evaluate later in the week.

Under no circumstance should you have a Liverpool defender.

I'm desperate to get him in for that game, can't imagine why anyone would sell him

They have their tough run out of the way which included Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea and Leicester

6 home games in their next 10 games.

    Which are ::

HULL, swansea, MAN UTD, WEST BROM, palace, WATFORD, southampton, SUNDERLAND, bournemouth, WEST HAM.

If any team, even liverpool, is going to garner some clean sheets, its in that run and Lovren scored a goal.

How hard am I trying to justify this ? lol

If I had a spare transfer, he would definitely be on my radar. Could be a shrewd pick.

That seems like an awful lot of sacrifices to be making just to fit in Sanchez!

If Ibrahimovic fades in the next few games I can then explore transferring him out for Lukaku (assuming he's still firing on all cylinders) and then upgrading a midfielder to Sanchez.

If I was having a Liverpool defender I'd have Clyne myself.

Having both Jak and Pickford together is an accident waiting to happen.

Ordinarily I'd agree, but if premium goalkeepers and defenders are having trouble keeping clean sheets (which they usually do at the beginning of seasons when new players and systems aren't quite gelling), then it makes complete sense to save in that area and invest heavily in getting attacking returns.

Why? Fed up of the choice with Firmino/Coutinho so I sent them both packing! :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,790 ✭✭✭Benimar

    Current team is:

    Cech/Jakupovic
    Shaw/Williams/Masuaku()/Evans/Amat
    Hazard/Ozil/Barkley/Antonio/Capoue
    Ibrahimovic/Lukaku/Defoe

    Looking at 2 options:
    1. Defoe, Hazard and Barkley to Aguero, Snodgrass and Bolasie for -4. Gives me a 'big' front 3 but a very weak midfield. If Shaw is injured I many need another hit.

    2. Ibrahimovic and Hazard to Aguero and Firmino for free. Down side is no Ibra but gives me the option to replace a defender (an injured Shaw or a sh1t Masuaku) for -4 (I'm pretty much committed to taking a hit to sort my team..possibly another one next week too).

    Any advice?

Few things going on in the real world so not much time to look at this.

Currently on front 8 below (defence last priority atm).
    Mane, Payet, Cazorla, Puncheon, Capoue
    Costa, Ibra, Lukaku

    1ft left. 1.5 in bank.

With Arsenal Chelsea this week not gonna rush to get Alexis yet I think. Also, Payet looks excellent and has to outscore Anto soon.

I think I have to get Aguero. I can do Ibra to Aguero and leave it at that. I'd sell Ibra for 11.7 banking 0.2 and he'll drop at least 0.1 this week by the looks of it. Can buy back for Stoke if necessary, but if Rashford starts the Leicester game he might do instead.

To go Costa to Aguero would mean Cazorla to 5.9 (Snoddy?) for -4 leaving 3 very budget mids! Or Payet to 7.7 (sideways to Antonio, Chadli, Lamela?).

Just thinking v short term and doing Ibra to Aguero seems best atm, saving a possible hit for GW6. Happy to take Ibra out and in again if necessary as its gonna be tht kind of game this year I think.

Thoughts appreciated as I'm not studying this much beyond toying round with who fits around Aguero.

Have two free transfers but need to ditch Redmond as well as trying to get Aguero back in so Sanchez will be off loaded for now,Looking at going with a midfield of

    Snodgrass,Lallana,Hazard and Bolasie

    And a front three of

    Ibra,Lukaku and Aguero

Ibra & Cazorla to Aguero & KDB for -4

Really unimpressed with Utd at the weekend, and Cazorla seemingly not on penalties anymore (thought might be back after Sanchez missed)

With having Costa and Lukaku, I think I'd risk the Ibra to Aguero move. There is no rush on Sanchez, he's nearly at the end of his usual 3 game hot streak :pac:

2FT to get Aguero back in, had planned on Costa to Aguero but Costa playing too well to drop so will prob do Defoe to Aguero and Hazard to Redmond/Bolaise/other.

    Cazorla is on penalties 100%.

Wenger said Sanchez shouldn't have taken it.

Was watching the Arsenal/Hull game and Cazorla didn't even come close to look like he was gonna score/assist. His corners are pretty dreadful and he plays quite deep. I think there are better options for his price bracket.

Need a help = my midfield has been mis-firing badly & have just replaced Ibra with Aguero.

    Haz, Barks, Redmond, Lamela, Capoue
    Sturridge, Aguero, Iheancho

With 1.8 in the bank & no FTs what would you do? (I'm willing to take hits & Sturridge is staying for another week (Home to Hull) )

I really want to ditch Ibra but 62% ownership is too scary.

I'm unlikely to have him in my team now since I need to start looking for more differentials to turn my season around. If I was sitting top 50k, I would give him through the Stoke match and then decide what I want to do with him
