    Hi
    Thanks for the reply
MIUI version MIUI 7.1 Stable 7.17.9.0(LHOCNCL)
    Android version 5.1.1 LMY47V
Below is the link they sent
Im not sure if its Snapdragon or MTK version ill have another look.

    hello,
sorry for the issue, there is a link for the phone rom, please have a try:
    http://en.miui.com/a-234.html

Just looked at the order spec and it was sold as Snapdragon

That rom has been reported as a vendor rom.

If it indeed the Snapdragon version, you will need qualcomm version of the rom.

    Flashing guide here.

Hi I bought the Xiaomi Redmi note 3 pro 32GB from eglobalcentral.eu, it arrived yesterday and from the moment I turned it on the battery indicator was flashing red and showing as - 2% even after charge. Also i can'tseem to unlock the screen using the fingerprint, the only time it works is straight after a reboot, and even then it only happens one or two times. Anyone any ideas?

Chances your on an old rom or a vendor rom.

Please report your rom version found here: -
Settings - About Phone - MIUI Version.

If it is an old rom, use the updater app to update to latest version.
If it is a vendor rom, see the flashing instructions in my previous post to flash an official rom.

That is an official rom, you should be able to use the updater app to install the latest.

Your download should be in internal storage - downloaded_rom.

In the updater app, click the 3 dots and choose update package.

    Select your downloaded rom.

If that doesn't work, possibly corrupted download.

You may have to download the official rom again and use the updater to apply it. https://www.reddit.com/r/Xiaomi/wiki/roms/flashofficial

Eventually updated it. I couldn't let this beat me.
    I followed this thread...
    http://en.miui.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=198408

Its only for MTK and not SD phones. Phone is brand new and feels like a new phone again.
    Delighted with that.

It's worth paying the 20 quid or so for DHL shipping. It avoids custom charges and I got the phone in 7 or 8 working days.

Glad you resolved your device problems. What custom rom did you go with?

    Currently MIUI 8 by Xiaomi.eu 6.8.18 | Beta with Radon v2.5 Kernel.

First rom I tried when I got the phone and was happy with it as a daily driver, so stuck with it. Have flashed 6 weeks of updates to it.

Release for it have stalled due to MIUI Marshmallow in beta testing, so hopefully will be release soon.

Have you tried the Radon Kernel with it?

There has been attempts to get the goodix fingerprint working under it, but haven't been really following the progress as using a MIUI based rom.

Looks like it is still unresolved.

Edit: - Make sure to take a backup of boot and system image before flashing in case anything goes wrong.

Where are you living/using the device?

The phone only use's one 4G band, of the two bands available by Three.

You will get 4G in large towns.

4G is available in cork city.

I'm thinking of changing networks soon, what is the best one to switch to for 4G with Note 3 Pro?

Also for people still on Miui and wanting a better camera experience, try Cynogen camera

    http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/cyanogenmod/cyanogen-camera/cyanogen-camera-2-0-005-04864afef4-00-release/cyanogen-camera-2-0-005-04864afef4-00-android-apk-download/

The stock camera app seemed to lose lots of detail in shots with the noise reduction filter, also the focus would change the exposure settings constantly leading to white outs in some shots.

The cyanogen camera alleviated the problems somewhat, although the exposure still has a bit too much variance depending on the focus but much improved.

Get 4G all the time but I'm in Dublin most of the time.

    Marshmallow now available!

[ROM] MIUI 8 Global Beta 6.9.9 Android 6 for Redmi Note 3 SD - Download and Feedback!

    Also available from Xiaomi.eu

    Flashed the latest xiaomi.eu rom.
    over xiaomi.eu 6.8.18

Did a dirty flash, but wiped caches and system partition before flash.

Got a warning from TWRP that no OS existed. Ignored it and system booted fine.

Flashing it will re-lock the bootloader, but easily unlocked using the tool on the xiaomi.eu rom.
Note: Make sure you have unlocked officially before hand.

Fingerprints got deleted and had to re add them. First unlock after a reboot needs a pin/password input.

If your rooting, it will now be by the systemless method, so if using adaway you will probably need to flash the systemless zip.

For xposed, you will also need sdk23 marshmallow version.

Now all that is need is for developers to get the source for kernels, so custom kernel development can start.

For the xiaomi.eu version, no you won't lose data, if updating from a prior xiaomi.eu beta. Not to sure if your coming from stable.

Make backups first anyway, with MIUI/TiBu etc.

For MIUI Official version, I don't know.

    Hi
Anyone have any recommendation for SD card to use with this - will be primarily for photos. I was looking at getting this one from amazon, is it any good?

    Hi,

Have the Redmi note 3 pro prime for the last few months, haven't done anything like flashing etc. too technical for me,

I upgraded to MIUI 8 a few weeks back and I don't know if it was because of this but the full charge lasts half as long as it used to, was getting over two days, now get 17 hours max, using the same charger, tried a few things like letting battery run to zero and fully charge, no difference, the miui forum says that it may be caused by miui 8 and to install the latest update (6.9.22),

Will I get this eventually if I haven't flashed the phone etc? The battery life was my favourite thing about the phone and it's p**sing me off,

Thanks in advance for any replies

What rom are you on? Report what you see in: -
settings - about phone - MIUI Version

Some rom versions had a battery draining wakelock bug.

If your losing 10% or more battery overnight when the device should be in deep-sleep. You probably have it.

Some roms have been good to me only losing 1% overnight (8 Hours). With the current rom and kernel, I'm losing about 4%.

There is a fix for battery draining bug which involves just flashing just the modem from a prior rom.
