    "It's only half time".

Eh, it really isn't Pat. That's not how replays work.

Imagine being stuck in a room with pat Spillane, Jackie healy-rae and Michael d Higgins.

Great effort, bottle character shown by the Mayo players in fairness. Down at HT with two goals through og's and 3 points down with few mins left and claw back to draw.

How the panel thought the ref was good is beyond me. Standard of refereeing was brutal

If Dublin had their shooting boots on they would have been out of sight. That was the biggest Rock fiasco to hit Croke Park since Garth Brooks.

I find it hard to believe Dublin will leave so many points out there in the replay. Mayo should have finished Dublin today when they had the chance. Sam's staying put I reckon.

The Dubs are beatable. Said it last week to mirth from a few residents in here. Mayo were the better team. Utter utter utter bad luck with the freak goals. Such character from then on. Roll on the replay

Connolly should have kept ball rather than go for the last sideline kick

Terrible decision making from such a experienced player. He cost Dublin Sam today.

Brolly spot on about what Mayo's attitude should be like in the next few weeks.

Spillane's right there, Mayo won't get a better chance.

They don't win the first game either. Bottlers.

Dublin haven't played great in any of the recent finals to be fair.

Brogan and Flynn have been well below par all year and Keegan has had Connollys number every time they played against each other

Bernard Brogan has been 'below par' for about 3 years now. He's just a poacher these days, which isn't enough. Not an elite forward anymore, harsh but it's my opinion.

They should win next time, but stroll??? No!

I'd confess to anything after ten minutes.

How to put this: They weren't beaten chief :o

Mayo could not put them away, roll on indeed :D

Why is nothing ever said about the fact that Mayo are the dirtiest team in the GAA?

Everyone gets so warped in this 'poor Mayo' and 'Mayo 4 Sam' nonsense despite the fact they're an absolute disgrace to the GAA. They were the dirtiest team out there by far today. Anytime I've noticed them play Dublin they try to play the man and not the ball.

Why is it that Diarmuid Connolly only ever lashes out against Lee Keegan? For what must be the 5th game in a row Keegan goes out of his way to get Connolly sent off. It's a disgrace how people let him get away with it. I watched this with my housemate from Clare, no allegiance to either side (like myself) and he agreed with me.

Aidan O'Shea as well is no stranger to throwing a shoulder off the ball, then cries wolf when nobody touches him.

Don't get me started on the shenanigans at the end. Mayo players swarming the referee and starting a fight over a clash of heads. All they want is to get their counter-parts sent off instead of winning the game on complete skill.

Before anyone says anything, I'm not from Dublin, just before that nonsense starts.

On a positive note, at least there's a chance now that Michelle Mulherin will get a ticket for the replay.

They are meant to be bringing in extra time when there is a draw next year. It's so ridiculous that they have everybody there and wont play an extra half hour. Nothing but greed

They don't even need an extra half hour. You could play an extra hour in soccer and not see a score. 10 additional minutes in GAA should be more than enough or a 'golden score' deal would settle the game in a matter of minutes. There is no legitimate reason for a replay in Gaelic Football.

Ya total bottlers. They just come back from conceding 2 terrible og's, 5 points at HT and 3 points with 8 mins to go.

He's completely headless. Amazingly talented but gets antagonised so easily. The sideline was selfishness. Dublin had kept the ball for 3 minutes and he give Mayo a final lifeline. And to that the fact he was very lucky not be on the line long before that.

Himself and Lee Keegan are like the new Paul Galvin and Noel O'Leary. There should be a red card for both each time they play.

No. The Dubs were just particularly bad today. And Mayo still didn't win.

You wont see such a bad Dubs performance nor a chance like that again.

Atrocious sloppy play (especially from Dublin). These southern teams just don't have the sports IQ and technicality of Ulster teams. But sure, their sloppy play probably seems more exciting for the casuals.

What's going to happen with replay tickets?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 681 ✭✭✭Mr. FoggPatches

Another ai final cones and goes and Connolly is yet to show up for any of them.
Was it Alan brogan saying he was the one if the best forwards of all time during the week? Maybe against Carlow he is.

Keegan didnt force Connolly to drag him by the jersey at the start. He could have let go of Keegan and nothing would have happened.
